Tewksbury motorcyclist killed in N.H. crash; Boston woman charged with DUI

Local

David Penney, 58, was pronounced dead after being taken to a hospital.

A 58-year-old man from Tewksbury riding a motorcycle was killed Saturday afternoon in a crash in North Hampton, New Hampshire, and the driver of the other vehicle involved was charged with driving under the influence.

David Penney was transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital after the crash where he was pronounced dead, New Hampshire State Police said in a release. He had been riding a 2020 Harley Davidson motorcycle shortly before 4 p.m. near Atlantic Avenue and Woodland Road when a 2015 BMW entered the intersection, “causing a collision,” according to police.

The driver of the BMW — 38-year-old Jennifer McCoy, of Boston — and her juvenile passenger were also taken to the hospital but did not sustain any injuries, police said. McCoy was then charged with DUI and was scheduled to be arraigned in Rockingham County Superior Court.

The crash remains under investigation, police said.

‘Anchorman’ star David Koechner busted in 2nd DUI: report

“Anchorman” actor David Koechner was slapped with another DUI offense last weekend — months after he was charged with a drunken hit and run, according to reports.

The 59-year-old’s latest bust came in Southern Ohio just after 2 a.m. on June 4 while he was on tour, TMZ reported.

Koechner was seen swerving before a state trooper pulled him over and allegedly smelled alcohol on his breath, sources told the outlet.

He was ticketed and is expected to make a court appearance next month.

Koechner was in Ohio as part of his “The Office” trivia tour, and had a show later that night in Ironton, according to TMZ.

In April, the former SNL cast member was hit with DUI and hit-and-run charges in California stemming from his December 2021 arrest on New Year’s Eve, when police said he was driving erratically and hit a stop sign.

Jesse Watters: Paul Pelosi DUI case has been ‘buried from the public’

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

Jesse Watters asserted that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband Paul Pelosi’s DUI case has been “buried from the public” in Friday’s opening monologue of “Jesse Watters Primetime.”

HOUSE SPEAKER NANCY PELOSI’S HUSBAND PAUL ARRESTED IN CALIFORNIA, CHARGED WITH DUI

JESSE WATTERS: The case pretty much has been buried from the public. There’s been no release of Poppa Paulie’s mug shot. Every attempt has been stonewalled by California officials. Believe us, “Primetime” has been doing everything by the books to get it out. We basically called every office in Napa County like they told us to. And we’ve just gotten nothing but the runaround from them. We’ve also learned today that Paul Pelosi deployed a pricey PR agency. They actually got back to us, but they say they don’t know anything. They told us there might not even be a mug shot. Shouldn’t they know?

Paul is set to appear in court on August 3rd, but the D.A. still hasn’t decided if she’ll file charges. Will she? Alli [Allison Haley]- she may have gotten pressure from us, from all of you, but this story has basically been ignored. Even Mothers Against Drunk Driving has yet to make a statement on Pelosi’s reckless behavior. We’ve made multiple attempts to contact them in the past 48 hours, and they haven’t even responded to us. It’s kind of bizarre. It feels like there’s a serious effort to sweep Pelosi’s arrest under the rug, opening the lane for this D.A. to easily give him a pass thanks to his liberal privilege. We don’t think that should happen. And judging by your texts, seems like you guys agree. So, we’ve taken things into our own hands and filed a Freedom of Information request to have the footage and the mug shot publicly released.

Koechner was allegedly spotted swerving and was pulled over where an officer smelled alcohol on his breath, a source told TMZ.

He received a ticket for the incident and will appear in court in July.

The actor was in Ohio hosting a trivia night for The Office, where he played Todd Packer, in Ironton.

Back on New Year’s Eve, Koechner was charged with a DUI and a hit-and-run for allegedly crashing his car in Simi Valley, California.

Ventura County Police said that both counts are misdemeanors.

He allegedly crashed his car into a street sign and failed a breathalyzer test.

The star could face up to six months in jail for each count, according to TMZ.

Koechner could be mandated to complete an alcohol education course.

He is perhaps best known for playing Champ Kind in the Anchorman movies.

He appeared in less than 15 episodes over nine seasons of The Office, but Koechner said he became instantly recognizable as his character Champ Kind.

“After I did one or two episodes of that show it became the second thing everyone put when they referenced me,” he told CBS News in 2013.

“Over seven years, I think I only did 14 episodes — like two a year. That character is so memorable.”

Koechner also starred in Saturday Night Live between 1995 and 1996 alongside comics Nancy Walls and Adam McKay.

He was only on the show for one season and admitted that he missed it

The actor told Breeze TV in 2016: “SNL is an exciting place. There’s something new every week that’s going to be unexpected.

“You’re going to create something that week that will only exist that week with that group of people and that time, which is a lot of fun.”

Koechner also featured in the ABC series The Goldbergs where he played Bill Lewis.

Paul Pelosi Pushes Back Hard After DUI Arrest, While Nancy Pelosi Says She Has No Comment

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband, Paul Pelosi, responded through a spokesperson Sunday night to reports of his arrest in Napa County, California, over the holiday weekend for driving under the influence.

Instead of taking responsibility, the 82-year-old businessman and millionaire’s spokesperson Larry Kamer took aim at “incorrect information” in mysterious news reports.

“Several news reports about Saturday night’s traffic incident involving Paul Pelosi have included incorrect information,” Kamer said in a statement obtained by The Daily Beast.

The incident in question occurred Saturday night, after Pelosi left a “dinner party” and was involved in a crash with a Jeep that allegedly hit Pelosi’s flashy 2021 Porsche, according to Kamer. Pelosi was subsequently charged with two misdemeanors, including driving while having a blood-alcohol level of 0.08 or higher, per Napa County booking records.

Pelosi’s spokesperson failed to respond to The Daily Beast’s requests for comment on what “incorrect” reports he was referencing and why Pelosi hasn’t taken responsibility for driving while impaired.

“A prior driving offense erroneously attributed to Mr. Pelosi is untrue and likely refers to an unrelated person with the same name. This error must be corrected,” the lawyer said in the statement. “There are also incorrect reports that misstate the timing of events.”

Early Sunday morning, the millionaire was bailed out of Napa Valley Detention Center on a $5,000 bond.

Despite Speaker Pelosi frequently taking issue with personal matters regarding former President Donald Trump, she said she wouldn’t be commenting on her husband’s DUI.

Drew Hammill, a spokesperson for the speaker, told The Daily Beast on Sunday night that the House Democratic leader wouldn’t be offering a public comment on the incident.

“The Speaker will not be commenting on this private matter which occurred while she was on the East Coast,” Hammill said.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband arrested for DUI after crash in Napa

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband has been arrested for DUI after a crash in Napa, California.

Paul Pelosi, 82, was arrested before midnight on Saturday in Napa County and was sent to jail on two counts – driving under the influence and driving with a blood alcohol content level of 0.08 or higher. The incident was first reported by TMZ, citing publicly available arrest records.

Both are misdemeanours. Mr Pelosi’s bail for the two charges was set at $5,000. Jail records in Napa County indicated that Mr Pelosi was booked into jail just after 4am, and released around 7am.

The crash took place north of Yountville at the intersection of State Route 29 and Walnut Lane, California Highway Patrol said in a press release. The intersection is about five miles south of the Pelosi’s vineyard in St Helena.

The 2021 Porsche Mr Pelosi was driving was struck by a 2014 Jeep as he entered the intersection, bypassing a stop sign, according to an arrest report. No injuries were reported.

Ms Pelosi’s spokesperson Drew Hammill said: “The Speaker will not be commenting on this private matter which occurred while she was on the East Coast.”

Mr Pelosi and his wife have been married for nearly 60 years. The speaker remained across the country on Sunday, where she delivered a commencement address at Brown University. She did not mention her husband’s arrest, according to The Hill.

The speaker’s husband was previously under scrutiny due to lucrative stock trades he has made while his wife remains one of the most powerful people in Washington. A growing tide of government ethics hawks, including some members of Congress, are calling for the practice of allowing members of Congress or their spouses to trade stocks to be ended.

Ms Pelosi herself does not drink, according to family members and her chief spokesman. That factoid about the speaker came to light in March of this year when freshman Congressman Madison Cawthorn, who this month lost his own primary battle, accused her of being drunk at an event.

The arrest of a spouse for DUI in an election year is the furthest thing from an ideal development for any politician, let alone a prominent one, but Ms Pelosi is not considered to be in electoral danger given that she faces no real competitive primary opponents and resides in a deep blue district. California’s primary elections are set to occur one week from Tuesday.

Pelosi’s husband arrested on suspicion of DUI in California

NAPA, Calif. (AP) — Paul Pelosi, the 82-year-old husband of U.S. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, was arrested this weekend on suspicion of DUI in Northern California, police records showed Sunday.

Paul Pelosi was taken into custody late Saturday in Napa County north of San Francisco, according to a sheriff’s office online booking report.

He could face charges including driving under the influence and driving with a blood alcohol content level of 0.08 or higher, the report said.

Pelosi’s bail was set for $5,000 for the two misdemeanors, records showed.

No other details were immediately available. California Highway Patrol Officer Andrew Barclay said more information would be released later Sunday.

Drew Hammill, spokesperson for Nancy Pelosi, told The Associated Press: “The Speaker will not be commenting on this private matter which occurred while she was on the East Coast.”

The House speaker was in Providence, Rhode Island, on Sunday, where she delivered the commencement address at Brown University.

Pelosi’s arrest was first reported by TMZ.

Paul and Nancy Pelosi have been married since 1963.

The motorist died after Sytch’s vehicle failed to stop during a traffic signal and crashed into a car, which then hit a third vehicle in front of it, Ormond Beach Police previously said in a news release.

At the time, Sytch was transported to a nearby medical center for treatment and released after authorities obtained a sample of her blood for their investigation, police said.

Sytch, 49, was found to have about three-and-a-half times the lawful blood-alcohol limit in her system at the time of the crash, police said this week.

She has been charged with one court of DUI causing death, one count of causing death while operating a vehicle with a suspended or revoked driver’s license, four counts of DUI causing injury to a person and three counts of DUI causing damage to property, police said.

Sytch was taken to jail on Friday and her bond was set at $227,500, police said. Jail records show she was released Saturday afternoon.

CNN was not able to reach an attorney for Sytch Saturday for comment.

As Sunny, Sytch is often cited as the “original WWE Diva,” gaining popularity not for wrestling in the ring, but for villainous performances as the storyline manager of other wrestlers.

Her career spanned several decades and she is one of the “most popular females to ever set foot in the ring,” the WWE said.
