Park City Mall shooting: gunman shoots 4 people inside Lancaster, Pa. mall

LANCASTER, Pennsylvania (WPVI) — At least six people were injured after gunfire rang out inside a mall in Lancaster, Pennsylvania Sunday afternoon.

According to police, several males were arguing inside the Park City Center mall when multiple shots were fired.

A woman and three men were shot during the incident, said police. All four victims are expected to survive.

Police say two other females suffered minor injuries while trying to flee the mall after the shooting.

Video shared on social media appears to capture gunfire as shoppers run to safety. Other videos show emergency crews rushing to the mall’s entrance located at 142 Park City Center.

An employee who works at the mall told ABC affiliate WHTM that workers hid in a backroom before they were able to evacuate safely.

Police tell Action News that there are multiple people in custody at this time. It’s unclear if those arrested include the gunman.

“We are saddened and angered by the unfortunate, isolated incident that happened in our shopping center today,” said a spokesperson for the mall in a statement to Action News. “This is a developing investigation and we need to direct you to our partners at Lancaster PD and PA State Police. We are grateful for their swift action to contain the situation. Our highest priority right now is the well being of our guests and tenants.”

The mall will remain closed until Monday.
