Officials identify two adults, two children found dead in suspected murder-suicide in Avon Lake

AVON LAKE, Ohio — Officials identified two adults and two children found dead in a suspected murder-suicide in Avon Lake.

Jeffrey Hull, 50; Heidi Hull, 46; Garrett Hull, 9; and Grant Hull, 6; were found dead with gunshot wounds Tuesday in the home on English Turn near Avon Belden Road, according to a news release from Avon Lake police.

Detectives had not named a suspect in the murder-suicide by noon Wednesday. The incident is still under investigation.

Avon Lake police officers were conducting a welfare check just after 1:15 p.m. when they found the four dead in the home, police said.

Heidi Hull’s employer reported that she did not show up for a conference call, according to police department call logs. The employer requested the welfare check after no one answered the front door at Hull’s home.

A dog was found in the home and taken to Avon Lake Animal Clinic, police said. It’s unclear if the dog was hurt in the incident.
