Samurai Shodown X Guilty Gear character announcement is coming very, very soon

That’s totally not Baiken, wonder who it could be

Samurai Shodown helped revive the series to new heights back in 2019, and we’ll be seeing very shortly how they’re planning to likely send it off with a bang.

SNK announced tonight they’ll be releasing the reveal trailer for Samurai Shodown’s Guilty Gear crossover DLC character mere hours from now.

The new trailer will be officially dropping tomorrow, August 16, though the silhouette attached pretty much gives away who it’s going to be for anyone with any familiarity in Guilty Gear.

Unless they’re all trying to throw us for a loop, Baiken seems all but assuredly the pick to join the cast of SamSho, and honestly who could be a better pick — except maybe the likes of Nagoriyuki.

Funnily enough, this would mean that Baiken will become playable in Samurai Shodown before she makes an appearance in Guilty Gear Strive considering their next character is going to be Jack-O.

This new crossover fighter is going to mark the end of support in the game for Season 3, and while it hasn’t been officially confirmed by the developers, they will most likely also be the final addition to Samurai Shodown in general with The King of Fighters 15 set to release early next year.

Though no timing was mentioned in their post, we can probably expect the trailer to go live at the same time SNK normally does their KOF15 reveals, which is 7 p.m. PDT.

Be sure to check back in tomorrow night to see the mysterious character in action.
