The King of Fighters 15 has not announced any newcomers joining the ranks of this iconic ensemble cast, but that stream officially ended tonight.
SNK finally revealed tonight the identity of their latest creation, Isla, who got her own gameplay trailer during KOF15’s Tokyo Game Show presentation.
As many players suspected, the developers confirm Isla has the same spiritual powers as Shun’ei likely tied to Verse, the boss of King of Fighters 14.
Unlike her rival, however, the series newcomer’s ghost fists are always on the field of play, so they are integral to her move set.
The trailer shows Isla pointing her finger to send our the hands to attack remotely, giving her moves a bit more range than they’d have otherwise.

She can also kick off of the hands in the air to make her dash kick across the screen with a speed boost or a quick dive kick. There’s a bit of a fake out attached to them too considering she can get something of a double jump instead in the air.
Isla’s attacks appear most potent when close to the opponent when she can fight in tandem with the phantom though clearly she’ll still be deadly at a distance as well.
Her cans of spray paint aren’t there just for the aesthetics either, as she tosses them out at the opponent for a few attacks and even coats the screen with their contents during her Climax Super.
