It may take days for the problems to be resolved
Anyone who’s attempted to hop on to NetherRealm Studios’ previous fighting game these past few days has apparently been greeted with the complete inability to actually play it.
Injustice 2 is currently unplayable for most if not all users across PlayStation, Xbox and PC platforms due to a crashing issue that stops the title from launching at all.
Players began to report around September 2 that the fighting game featuring DC Comics’ iconic heroes and villains would simply crash and exit upon trying to boot it up across all platforms.
The second Injustice title reportedly will not even reach the main menu screen, as it’ll fail to make it past the initial splash screens showing the NetherRealm and Warner Bros. logos before crashing and showing an error code.

The official Injustice Twitter account acknowledged the issues on Sep 3 stating they are aware of the widespread crashes and are currently looking into a solution.
They followed that up earlier today with an update stating the studio hopes to have more information available in the coming days, but no time estimate was given as to when players may be able to access the game again.

As things stand now, players have been unable to find their own workarounds to the constant crashes, as attempting to re-install Injustice 2 or rolling back drivers on PC does not appear to produce any better results.
Unless one can be found, owners of the game will likely need to sit tight and wait until NRS provides an official update on the matter.

While server issues preventing players from accessing online features are a fairly common occurrence in the modern gaming landscape where everything is connected to the internet, it is much more rare for a title to become inoperable entirely like what’s going on now.
Injustice 2 first released in 2017 where it continued to see support via DLC and updates, including the likes of Hellboy and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, until early-mid 2018.
