‘Arachnid**’ and ‘Ninjastar Pop’
The world was finally able to hear the full themes of both Juri and Kimberly in Street Fighter 6 thanks to today’s Rolling Stone Street Fighter 6 live stream.
We heard snippets for both of these lady combatants a few weeks back when their reveal trailers dropped at Evo, but now we’ve got access to them in their groovy entirety.
The seductive spider Juri is all about luring in foes before suddenly pouncing. Her bass heavy BGM, ÅrachniD**, plays on this a bit as it kind of tip toes about before hitting hard with some heavier beats.
It’s slightly disorienting (intentionally so) as it jaggedly jumps and stutters between gears, never quite allowing you to feel stable and secure. The best thing is to embrace it and take a ride along with Juri… wherever it is she wants to take you.
Kimberly’s theme, Ninjastar Pop, is much more upbeat and adventurous, as her personality would dictate. It stays in step with Street Fighter 6’s hip hop theme, but are at all wrong in thinking we’re hearing a bit of Guy’s Alpha tucked away in it?
We’ve also included Guile’s new Street Fighter 6 theme as he was the third most recent character to be revealed for the game. Check out the tunes via the video below and let us know what you think both of them individually as well as SF6’s music as a whole thus far.
