More new footage from the upcoming remake of The Last Of Us Part 1 has leaked.

The three clips, which amount to around six minutes of footage, were shared on Twitter by Xbox [5,420 articles]” href=”https://www.videogameschronicle.com/platforms/xbox/”>XboxEra co-founder Nick Baker, who says he was given them by an unnamed source.

The first clip shows the game’s combat in action, as Joel and Ellie engage in a shootout with some enemies.

The second clip shows footage of the workbench, where Joel upgrades his weapons – as he adds new parts the weapon physically changes on-screen.

Finally, the third clip shows more gunplay as Joel and Ellie shoot their way through a library.

Baker also shared some new screenshots, as well as the controller layout and evidence of the game’s two graphics rendering modes.

Fidelity mode “favours resolution over framerate”, rendering at 4K and targeting 40 fps. Performance mode, meanwhile, targets 60 fps and has a dynamic resolution. There’s also an option to unlock the framerate for TVs that support variable refresh rate (VRR).

Baker notes that the footage looks slightly washed out, suggesting that this may be an HDR issue or a problem with his source’s capture setup.

Other footage and screenshots from the game were leaked by a different person on Wednesday, with that person claiming there were “no gameplay improvements”.

While it’s not yet clear where these leaks are originating from, it should be noted that prior to the release of The Last Of Us Part 2, huge spoilers flooded the internet and long gameplay clips, including pivotal plot scenes, were posted to social media well in advance of release.

The source of that leak was eventually believed to be a QA tester who had been testing the game at home, due to the COVID pandemic, which had just begun as The Last Of Us Part 2 was being tested in early 2020.
