After the grand finals for Skullgirls: 2nd Encore at CEO 2021, a new character was teased for the Season 1 Pass after the debut of Umbrella’s official trailer. The character that will be playable after Umbrella will be Black Dahlia.
The quick tease provided us a little peek at Black Dahlia’s silhouette. She is seen standing by a doorway pointing an exaggerated Thompson submachine gun towards the camera.
Though it can’t really be seen in the silhouette alone, that Tommy Gun is actually Black Dahlia’s mechanical arm. It’s also noted that she has a hidden arsenal consisting of a grenade launcher, tear gas and knives.
Based on the red glow that emits from Black Dahlia’s eye and mouth, this is a far more sinister character compared to the other Season 1 Pass characters, Annie of the Stars and Umbrella.
Black Dahlia is noted as being one of Lorenzo Medici’s top enforcers. The mask that she wears is said to obscure her face from all known photographs.
Umbrella, Black Dahlia and one more unrevealed fighter of the Season 1 Pass are currently slated for a 2022 release. As of right now, no details about Black Dahlia’s gameplay has been revealed.
