Here is an overview of the game, via 505 Games:

That’s right, Valued Employee, your journey to ARY-26 as part of the Pioneer Program is now even better (improving on perfection has been hard!) with juicy downloadable content, new ads, bonus chats with Martin Tweed and an enhanced photo mode! Even better, the game is now fully optimized for new consoles AND features a Performance vs. Graphics option. Honestly, you barely deserve it, but you’re welcome. We’ll give you a moment to collect yourself and digest that amazing news.

Digested? Good. Experience planets ARY-26 and DLC-1 with support for up to 4K (native or upscale) on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. And if you previously bought the game, you get the upgrade for free! What a time to be alive!

As you might already know, Kindred Aerospace is responsible for determining the viability of human life on planet ARY-26. Data suggests the planet’s atmosphere may have hallucinogenic properties, but as you know, we have a strong anti-drug policy. Learn about the planet’s undiscovered flora and fauna and document the bizarre life forms our researchers have scientifically classified as “icky.” Conduct research with the standard tools of the trade: laser pistols, bombs, acid, and other explosives or requisition ARY-26’s resources to create tools using 3D printing technology. Just remember that your benefits don’t include health insurance. You die, it’s your fault, Valued Employee.

“We’ve been through an acquisition, we’ve been made redundant, we’ve formed a new company, and reacquired our IP, but some way, somehow, the Employee of the Month Edition of our wacky game is finally coming to new consoles,” said Raccoon Logic creative director Alex Hutchinson in a press release (“weeping only a little”). “Thanks to everyone who supported us, especially you, Value Employee. You’re my favorite, whatever your name is.”

Drake, 21 Savage Ordered to Stop the ‘Counterfeit’ ‘Vogue’ Magazines for ‘Her Loss’ Promotion

A judge has ordered Drake and 21 Savage to stop using a fake Vogue cover story to promote their new collaborative album, Her Loss.

In a ruling Wednesday, Nov. 10 (obtained by Billboard), the judge ruled in favor of Vogue publisher Condé Nast, issuing a temporary restraining order and a preliminary injunction against the two rappers. The judge found that Condé Nast owned “valid and incontestable” trademarks for Vogue and its logo and that Drake, 21 Savage, and the communications firm Hiltzik Strategies “created and disseminated” counterfeit images of a Vogue cover, as well as a reproduction of full issue, without the magazine’s authorization.

More from Rolling Stone

“Condé Nast has a likelihood of success on its claims for federal and common law trademark infringement, false designation of origin and unfair competition, false endorsement, dilution, [and] false advertising,” the ruling states. The judge also said Drake and 21’s faux Vogue was “confusing consumers about the origin, sponsorship, or approval” of the magazine, “misleading consumers to believe that these are genuine and authentic materials associated Condé Nast and Vogue.”

A lawyer for Drake and 21 Savage did not immediately return Rolling Stone‘s request for comment, nor did Hiltzik Strategies. A lawyer for Condé Nast also did not immediately return a request for comment.

Drake and 21 Savage have been on a tear promoting their collaborative album Her Loss with a series of stunts. The duo faked a Saturday Night Live performance and performed in what appeared to be a gold bar for a faux Colors x Studios promotion. Their initial promotion, though — a doctored Vogue cover — led to a trademark infringement lawsuit filed by the magazine’s owner Advance Magazine Publishers Inc., also known as Condé Nast.

In the lawsuit, obtained by Rolling Stone, Condé Nast called the duo’s promotional stunt a “deceptive campaign” that was not authorized by the company. The fake Vogue association included posters and distribution of “a counterfeit issue of Vogue” in large cities across North America.

The suit accuses the rappers of deliberately mimicking rollouts the magazine uses in its own promotional campaigns to appear authentic and added that the rappers’ social media accounts contained “explicitly false statements: ‘Me and my brother on newsstands tomorrow!! Thanks @voguemagazine and Anna Wintour for the love and support on this historic moment. Her Loss Nov 4th.’”

However, per the complaint, Vogue and its editor-in-chief Wintour “have had no involvement in Her Loss or its promotion, and have not endorsed it in any way. Nor did Condé Nast authorize, much less support, the creation and widespread dissemination of a counterfeit issue of Vogue, or a counterfeit version of perhaps one of the most carefully curated covers in all of the publication business in service of promoting Defendants’ new album.“

“The confusion among the public is unmistakable,” the complaint further states, citing a number of media outlets who picked up the story as real and subsequent user comments believing it to be a real cover.

At the time of the lawsuit was filed, Larry Stein, a lawyer for the defendants, declined Rolling Stone’s request for comment on Tuesday having not yet reviewed the complaint. Hiltzik Strategies LLC, also named as a defendant in the suit alongside Drake and 21 Savage, declined Rolling Stone’s request for comment.

Condé Nast is seeking a minimum of $4 million in damages. It further seeks punitive damages alongside ending any trademark infringement.

Drake and 21 Savage Ordered to Stop Using Fake ‘Vogue’ Cover by Judge

Less than a week after Vogue’s parent company Condé Nast sued Drake and 21 Savage for their fake magazine cover, the judge in the case has sided with the publisher.

As reported by Billboard, U.S. District Judge Jed Rakoff has ruled that Drizzy and 21 had been “misleading consumers” and “deceiving the public” with their fake Vogue cover in promotion of their collaborative album, Her Loss. “Issuance of the requested temporary restraining order is in the public interest to protect the public against confusion, deception and mistake,” said the judge. The request for a temporary restraining order has been approved, which means the pair can no longer utilize the fake magazine cover.

Per legal documents obtained by Complex, the legal team for Vogue and Condé Nast has expressed confidence they will win the $4 million case. “Condé Nast has a likelihood of success on its claims for federal and common law trademark infringement, false designation of origin and unfair competition, false endorsement, dilution, false advertising,” reads the docs. “Among other things, Defendants’ actions are confusing consumers about the origin, sponsorship, or approval of the Counterfeit Cover and Counterfeit Magazine.”

In the suit, Condé Nast has argued that the two rappers have “irreparably harmed” the companies. As part of the temporary restraining order, they are required to stop distributing the copies of the fake magazine, take down any social media posts featuring the cover, and remove any physical posters in cities across the country. They are also prohibited from mentioning Anna Wintour, the editor-in-chief of Vogue. In the suit, Condé accused Drake of being “deliberately deceptive” when he thanked Wintour upon sharing the cover.

The Vogue cover was just one of the many elaborate faux marketing stunts the rappers pulled for the record, but Condé Nast is (so far) the only company to take action. They’ve shared a fake performance on Saturday Night Live, teased a NPR Tiny Desk performance, and shared a deepfake interview with infamous radio host Howard Stern. NPR suggested the pair were “welcome anytime” to perform on Tiny Desk for real, while Stern called the whole thing “interesting.”

Legal expert Barton Beebe, a law professor at New York University, told NPR that it’ll be an “easy case” for Condé Nast. “I think it’s an easy case for them to win,” said Beebe, who specializes in intellectual property law. “And I think that they’ll get the injunction, the injunctive relief, ordering the marketing campaign to stop. It seems to me an interesting question would be if Vogue wants to pursue this all the way to damages, because they could be in the millions for this kind of conduct.”

Drake and 21 Savage sued over use of Vogue name to promote new album | Drake

The rappers Drake and 21 Savage have been sued by Condé Nast, the publisher of Vogue magazine, for allegedly using the Vogue name without permission to promote their new album, Her Loss.

Condé Nast claimed the musicians’ promotional campaign, including to their more than 135 million social media followers, was built “entirely” on the unauthorised use of Vogue trademarks and false representations that they would appear on Vogue’s next cover, and with the “love and support” of the magazine’s longtime editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour.

“All of this is false. And none of it has been authorised by Conde Nast,” said a complaint filed on Monday night in a Manhattan federal court.

Condé Nast said the defendants also created a counterfeit issue of Vogue that was distributed in major metropolitan areas, accompanied by posters that mimicked Vogue’s layout.

It said the result was “unmistakable” confusion among the public, including media outlets that touted Drake and 21 Savage as Vogue’s “new cover stars”.

Larry Stein, a lawyer for the defendants, declined to make an immediate comment on Tuesday, having yet to review the complaint.

Condé Nast, also known as Advance Magazine Publishers Inc, is seeking at least $4m (£3.5m) in damages, or triple the defendants’ profits from their album and “counterfeit” magazine. It also wants punitive damages and an end to any trademark infringement.

Her Loss has received mixed critical reviews since its launch on 4 November.

Condé Nast said it had tried repeatedly since 31 October to resolve its differences with Drake, from Toronto, and 21 Savage, from Atlanta.

“[The] defendants’ flippant disregard for Condé Nast’s rights have left it with no choice but to commence this action,” it said.

Drake and 21 Savage Sued by ‘Vogue’ Over Fake Magazine Cover

Drake and 21 Savage are being sued by Vogue over the fake magazine cover the duo used to promote their new album Her Loss, TMZ  reports.

Legal docs obtained and viewed by Complex allege the duo misled fans into believing the magazine would drop a special edition.

Condé Nast, which owns Vogue, claims that neither the publication nor it’s Editor-and-Chief Anna Wintour, who Drizzy initially thanked online for approving the fake covers, “have not endorsed” the album “in any way,” and asked both rappers and their teams to remove all promos using the Vogue name.

Condé Nast is asking a judge to cease the duo’s use of the Vogue name immediately and is asking for $4 million in damages.

Complex has reached out to Drake’s representative for further comment.
