Louisville, Kentucky, Mayor Greg Fischer allegedly punched, police searching for suspect

“Earlier this evening, while at Fourth Street Live, Mayor (Greg) Fischer was punched by an individual,” the Louisville Metro Police Department said in a Facebook post. “The Mayor is doing fine.”
Authorities released several screengrabs from surveillance video showing a man they believe is the suspect in the attack on the mayor. Police didn’t say what Fischer was doing when he was hit.
“LMPD is investigating & will release further information as it becomes available,” police said in a tweet.
Fourth Street Live is hosting Juneteenth-related events this weekend, according to its website. Earlier Saturday, Fischer posted on Twitter that he had attended a Pride event.

CNN has reached out to Louisville police and the mayor’s office for more information.

Fischer, a Democrat, is serving his third term as mayor of Kentucky’s largest city and cannot run again due to term limits. Craig Greenberg, the 2022 Democratic nominee for mayor sent well wishes to Fischer Saturday.

“Whoever is responsible for this assault needs to turn themselves in,” Greenberg said on Twitter. “We cannot solve our disagreements with violence.”

The Source |[WATCH] Tekashi 6ix9ine Gets Punched In The Back Of Head At Miami Nightclub

If there was a poll, most people would say that Tekashi 6ix9ine is the most hated rapper in Hip Hop and it was proven last night when the Brooklyn rapper was sucker punched by by a 69 hater as he was leaving a Miami hot spot.

Tekashi did a walk through and performed one song from behind the DJ booth before leaving the Pilos Tacos Tequilla Garden in Miami. As his security made a clearance for the former Bloods-affiliated rapper, someone who apparently didn’t like the performance, took a swing at 6ix9ine, which connected to the back of his shoulder. As for the Tekashi hater, he took off after taking his swing and hasn’t been heard from since.

Reps say Mike Tyson punched fellow passenger because he threw water bottle at him

Mike Tyson punched a fellow first-class passenger aboard a Florida-bound flight because the “aggressive” man threw a water bottle at him, according to reps for the former heavyweight champ.

Tyson was captured on video pummeling the man on the Wednesday night JetBlue flight from San Francisco to Miami, where he later appeared at a weed conference after party.

Prior to the beat down, the apparent harasser is seen on the video posted by TMZ standing over Tyson’s seat, waving his arms and talking animatedly while the former boxer sits quietly.

“Unfortunately, Mr. Tyson had an incident on a flight with an aggressive passenger who began harassing him and threw a water bottle at him while he was in his seat,” representatives for Tyson said in a statement.

San Francisco police responded about 10 p.m. to a “physical altercation” on a plane at the airport’s domestic terminal, officials said.

“Officers arrived and detained two subjects that were believed to be involved in the incident. One subject was treated at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries. That subject provided minimal details of the incident and refused to cooperate further with the police investigation,” police said in a statement.

Sources close to Mike Tyson claim the man was extremely intoxicated and wouldn’t stop provoking the boxer in his seat.

Both were released pending further investigation, police added.

The viral clip has been shared with the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office, which has jurisdiction over the airport, police said.

Another passenger, Sarah Burchfield, said that before the flight she saw the man at an airport bar, where he was loud and quarrelsome.

“When I boarded the flight, I thought, ‘Oh, no, that drunk guy is on our flight,’” Burchfield told SFGate.

A witness on the plane says as he and his friend were boarding Tyson’s flight.

She said that when she boarded, she passed Tyson’s seat in the first class.

“The belligerent guy was sitting right behind him and I saw they were interacting,” she said. A short time later, she said she heard the confrontation.

Meanwhile, on Thursday night, “Iron Mike” was all smiles at the Benzinga Cannabis Capital Conference Afterparty, where he appeared with wrestling legend Ric Flair at the Fontainebleu Miami Beach.

Mike Tyson seemed to lose his cool on a plane on Wednesday night and repeatedly punched a man in the face after the guy had apparently annoyed him.

“We’re Live At LIV In Miami! WOOOOO!” Flair said in tweet, in which he is seen raising fists with a beaming Tyson.

In another tweet, Tyson is seen in a video apparently toking up.

Tyson was supposed to be the main speaker at the weed industry event earlier, but had to cancel “due to a flight change,” TMZ reported.

On Thursday night, he hit the stage to promote his cannabis brand Tyson 2.0, which offers several strains of cannabis flower, as well as ear-shaped edibles in reference to his infamous 1996 bout against Evander Holyfield, SFGate reported.

The viral clip featuring Mike Tyson has been shared with the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office, which has jurisdiction over the airport, police said.

“Listen, we’re gonna take this to another level in life,” Tyson said, according to the outlet.

“I’m the world champion, and now I’m the world champion of cannabis, and we can’t be stopped. Look at us. Thousands of people [are] looking at us, and we’re getting high. This is beautiful. … Look at me, baby, look how beautiful I look up here,” he added.

Yonkers NY attack: Asian woman stomped on and punched more than 125 times after being called racial slur, police say

The victim, a 67-year-old Asian woman, was returning home Friday evening when she saw the suspect, whom police identified as Tammel Esco, 42, in front of her building. Esco allegedly used the racial slur as she passed him, police said in the release.

The victim ignored Esco and entered the vestibule of her apartment building, according to the police. But as she attempted to open the second door to enter the lobby, Esco allegedly approached her from behind and punched her in the head, knocking her to the floor, the release said.

The department provided surveillance a video of the assault.

In it, a man is seen punching a woman in both the head and face more than 125 times and then stomping her with his foot seven times. Police said he then spat on her.

The woman suffered multiple contusions and lacerations to her head and face, facial bone fractures, and bleeding on the brain, according to the news release. She was taken to a trauma center and is listed in stable condition, according to police.

Police responded to the scene at around 6:11 p.m. Friday, found Esco outside the apartment building and placed him into custody without incident, according to the release.

He was arraigned in a Yonkers City Court on Saturday and held in custody at Westchester County Jail, the release said.

Esco is charged with two felonies — attempted murder and assault in the second degree involving a victim 65 or older — online court records show.

Each count is charged as a hate crime, according to the release.

His next court date is slated for March 25.

CNN reached out to the Legal Aid Society of Westchester County, which represents Esco, for comment but hasn’t received a reply.

Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano said in the release he expects the suspect to be charged to the fullest extent possible for his “heinous actions.”

“Hate crimes are beyond intolerable in our city,” the mayor said.

Yonkers is a city of more than 211,000 people in the New York City suburbs, about 17 miles north of Manhattan.

“This is one of the most appalling attacks I have ever seen; to beat a helpless woman is despicable and targeting her because of her race makes it more so,” Yonkers Police Commissioner John J. Mueller said in the release. “This defendant must be held to the maximum punishment allowed by law to send a clear message that hateful, violent behavior will not be tolerated in our communities.”

Since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, thousands of people in the US have been victims of anti-Asian incidents, from verbal abuse to physical attacks.
From March 19, 2020, to December 31, 2021, a total of 10,905 hate incidents against Asian American and Pacific Islander people were reported to Stop AAPI Hate, an organization that tracks reports of racism and discrimination against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders.

Kanye admits he punched autograph seeker in West Hollywood

Kanye West admitted he punched out an autograph seeker who was allegedly egging him on outside a West Hollywood club earlier this week, as the rapper is investigated for battery.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, West, 44, said he was outside the Soho Warehouse at 3 a.m. on Thursday when a man who had been tailing him in recent days for autographs allegedly provoked him.

‘I’m saying, ”You don’t know what I’m dealing with right now,” West said, referring to footage of him snapping at the unidentified man.

‘I just finished these two songs, I came from the studio, and this dude, he just had this real attitude, like, ”What you gonna do? And see that?”

‘Imma just tell you, that blue COVID mask ain’t stop that knockout, you know what I’m saying?’

He added that he was upset at the time with estranged wife Kim Kardashian, who filed for a divorce and is now dating Pete Davidson, and at a cousin who failed to tell Kardashian that he wanted to visit one of their children at school.

‘Security ain’t gonna get in between me and my children. And my children aren’t gonna be on TikTok without my permission,’ Kanye said as he reiterated his message to Kardashian.

He also mentioned he was upset at her budding romance with Davidson.

‘How are you going to blame me for acting out and kiss the dude your dating right in front of me. Everyone’s like, ‘that’s cool,’ and I’m hearing that the new boyfriend is in the house that I can’t even go to.’

Kanye West spoke with Entertainment Tonight to discuss the incident on Thursday where he admitted he punched an autograph hunter who allegedly provoked him

Kanye West was seen yelling at a cousin (left) after allegedly punching a fan three times and knocking him down on Thursday morning

The fan (in the background) had been pictured following West around West Hollywood on Thursday as the rapper was out with his new girlfriend Julia Fox

West claims the man he punched was not a fan of his, but someone trying to make money by selling off autographs he got from the rapper on January 10.

‘This is the same as the paparazzi, this is not a fan. This is someone who is using your image, who probably never listened to your songs.’

Dramatic footage of the aftermath of the incident shows West screaming, ‘Get away from me’ at his cousin, who was trying to calm him down while the autograph seeker lies on the floor, clutching his head in pain.

Witnesses told TMZ that West punched the man twice in the head and once in the neck, striking him down and causing the fan to hit his head on the sidewalk.

His cousin could be heard telling the rapper, ‘I am your family,’ as she tried to take his hand and get him to relax.

‘No, get away from me! Ain’t no hands, ain’t no hands,’ West yells.

‘You were supposed to talk with her,’ he adds, now revealing that he was angry at his cousin for not telling his estranged wife that he wanted to visit their child at school.

West accused the man of following him around and selling off autographs for money. West was pictured giving the man an autograph on January 10

He ultimately blamed his cousin for his bad mood that caused him to erupt in anger following the altercation, which was caught on video by confused bystanders.

He said he ultimately admitted to the attack because he was tired of the media’s portrayal of the incident and wanted to take control of the narrative.

‘This is from the horse’s mouth. I told you all before, y’all are not fit to be in charge of my narrative,’ West told Entertainment Tonight’s Jason Lee.

‘I told you before, I am taking my narrative. I am writing my narrative. Why don’t you all go do something, you know what I mean, other than trying to bring somebody down.’

The Los Angeles Police Department is currently investigating the case and have yet to make any arrests, but have named West a suspect.

Earlier in the evening of the incident, West had been out with his rumored new girlfriend Julia Fox at Delilah in West Hollywood for a star-studded dinner date after spending the evening with Madonna and Floyd Mayweather.

The group appeared to be in high spirits after Diana Ross’ son Evan Ross shared video footage of them on Instagram.

Kanye West and Julia Fox (left) were seen at Delilah nightclub in West Hollywood with Madonna and Floyd Mayweather (right) earlier in the evening prior to the alleged altercation

While it was previously reported that West’s new romance has gotten under the skin of his estranged wife Kim Kardashian, sources claimed she is happy to see the Donda artist smiling again.

West is no stranger to run-ins with the law. In 2014, he was arrested for assaulting a photographer at the Lost Angeles International Airport.

He was sentenced to 250 hours of community service, two years probation and 24 anger management sessions.

He was also arrested in 2008 for vandalism and battery over an altercation with two photographers at the same airport. The case was dismissed after he paid for one of the photographer’s broken equipment and agreed to attend anger management counseling.

Coles shopper in Sydney is punched by worker over Covid face mask row

A man was bashed by a Coles worker on Christmas Eve after asking the shelf stacker to wear his mask over his nose, leaving him bloodied and bruised.

The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, headed to the Balgowlah store, in Sydney’s Northern Beaches, about 9.40pm on Friday to pick up a few last minute groceries before Christmas Day.

As he was walking down an aisle, he came across two employees stacking shelves and noticed one man’s mask was sitting beneath his nose.

The shopper asked the worker to adjust his face covering, after NSW reintroduced mask mandates indoors that day to combat the state’s soaring Covid outbreak.

But the worker refused, and replied: ‘What’s it to you?’ before punching the man twice in the face – knocking him flat to the ground.

‘I was felt like I was going to vomit,’ the man told Daily Mail Australia.

‘He thumped me on my head and mouth, and then as I fell to the ground I hit my head.

The man suffered cuts to his head, leaving blood dripping down his face, as his injured gums also filled his mouth with blood.

As he laid on the floor, the shopper shouted out for help, concerned about another attack.

Other employees rushed to the aisle and directed the attacker, understood to be in his early 20s, to walk away while the man called the police.

Four officers arrived a short time later, cleaning the man’s injuries and bandaging his head before calling an ambulance as a precaution.

After assessing his injuries, paramedics sent him home with Panadol about 11.40pm to avoid catching Covid in hospital ahead of the festive season.

‘It ruined my Christmas. I spent most of yesterday in bed,’ he said.

The man was visiting the Balgowlah store (pictured), in Sydney’s Northern Beaches, to pick up last minute Christmas groceries when he was violently assaulted

‘My family are all overseas and I didn’t want them to talk to me over Zoom, because I didn’t want them to know what had happened to me and worry.’

The shopper explained to Daily Mail Australia that after initially requesting the staff member wear the mask properly and being ignored, he went to seek help from a manager.

A manager followed the shopper back to the aisle, but at one point stopped and turned around, leaving the customer in the aisle with the un-masked staffer.

It was during this second interaction when he was bashed, after asking the staff member to put the mask on properly again.

He said he was shocked by the manager and staffs’ response to the situation.

‘I felt like the manager was accusing me of being the aggressor,’ the man said.

‘He said “stay with him”. Then he started shouting at me when I was on the phone to emergency services.

The man suffered several gashes across his face and near his mouth, but feels lucky his injuries were not worse

‘Nobody in Coles came up to me and said sorry for what happened. In fact, nobody asked if I was ok or asked if I needed a glass of water.’

The man said he is still recovering from an ongoing headache two days later and a  bump on his head.

He said ‘disappointed’ is a mild expression for his feelings towards the supermarket giant and he now fears returning to his local shop.

‘You shouldn’t have to be afraid to go to your local Coles. It is understandable to be afraid of catching Covid, but you shouldn’t expect to be afraid of getting attacked.

‘It is one thing to be attacked by a shopper, but it is another when it is an employee.’

NSW Police told Daily Mail Australia the Northern Beaches Police command are still conducting inquiries into the investigation and no one has yet been charged.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Coles for comment.

Mask rules were reintroduced on Christmas Eve to help quell the Covid outbreak surging through Sydney, which swelled to a record 6,394 new cases on Sunday.

Face coverings must now be worn in all non-residential indoor venues, as well as on public transport.

Connecticut school meeting turns violent, board member Ray McFall punched in face

A man punched a Connecticut school board member in the face during a Tuesday night meeting where residents pushed to bring back the high school’s old mascot — which was retired over concerns it was racially insensitive, reports said.

The heated scene in the Glastonbury High School auditorium was captured on video and went down during a break of the special meeting, the Hartford Courant reported.

The meeting, focused on whether to drop the new name the Guardians and resurrect the Native American-themed Tomahawks, drew fiery debate, reports said.

One audience member reportedly accosted the board member, identified by the Courant as Ray McFall, during the recess and the ensuing feud was captured on camera by NBC Connecticut.

The wild footage showed the man sock McFall in the face after the board member tried to push him away.

McFall fell to the ground, but quickly got up and the two men were separated by the crowd, the footage shows.

Tuesday’s meeting was called after over 2,500 community members signed a petition to do away with their new mascot and restore their old one, the reports said.

Like many schools across the nation, Glastonbury last year retired their Native American themed mascot that was viewed by some as offensive.

Following the confrontation, the board adjourned the meeting without a vote, the Courant reported.

Police are investigating the incident, the newspaper said, and no arrests were made as of late Wednesday.
