Warriors vs. Nuggets score: Live NBA playoff updates as Stephen Curry and Co. look to clinch series vs. Denver

The Golden State Warriors rattled off three consecutive wins to open their first-round series against the Nuggets before Denver pulled out a Game 4 victory. Not only did it keep the Nuggets’ postseason hopes alive, it also snapped Golden State’s eight-game streak. Now back at home, the Warriors will look to finish off Nikola Jokic and Co. and advance into the next round of the postseason with a win in Game 5. Denver pulls ahead in the third quarter and takes a 78-70 lead into the fourth.

The Warriors are 19-8 in closeout games under Steve Kerr, though 0-1 this series after failing to complete the sweep Sunday. Golden State is also 15-1 all-time when holding a 3-1 series lead — the lone loss came in the 2016 Finals. As for the Nuggets, they’re 8-3 when facing elimination under Michael Malone, including 5-0 in the first round. Malone stands as the only head coach in NBA history to overcome multiple 3-1 deficits. His Nuggets erased two 3-1 holes in the 2020 bubble.
