Aspen Ladd struggled through the UFC Vegas 40 main event and not everyone was impressed with how her corner handled the situation.
After a mostly uneventful fight, Norma Dumont won a unanimous decision over Ladd at Saturday’s show at UFC APEX in Las Vegas, but the exchanges between Ladd and coach Jim West might have overshadowed Dumont’s victory.
In between the later rounds, Ladd could be heard asking Ladd “What are you doing?” and imploring her to improve her effort as it was clear she was falling behind on the scorecards. However, his choice of words and his tone irked some of the fighters watching, including former UFC champion Miesha Tate.
“This is ABUSE, what a douche,” Tate wrote on Twitter.
