Tennessee trolls Kentucky with locker room celebration video

After heading into the half with a 42-38 lead, the Kentucky Wildcats continued to fight through and extend their lead to double digits at the 12 minute mark in the second half. Keion Brooks Jr. drilled a jumper inside the paint, followed by a steal by Devin Askew and dunk in transition by Brandon Boston Jr. to push UK’s lead to 58-48 at the second media timeout.

At the time, it appeared Kentucky had secured the momentum and was ready to extend the lead in similar fashion to that of UK’s blowout wins at Florida and LSU.

Following the breakthrough moment of the game – or what seemed to be at the time, anyway – the official Kentucky men’s basketball Twitter account posted a video of Boston’s dunk in transition with the caption “We’re having fun.”

From that point on, Tennessee managed to close out the game on a 34-13 run to pull off the 82-71 victory, giving the program its sixth win in nine tries against Kentucky. The comeback victory pushed Rick Barnes’ record vs. John Calipari and the Wildcats to 8-5 since taking over as UT’s head coach, making him the only active head coach to lead his team to at least three victories at Rupp Arena.

Needless to say, the Volunteers celebrated the win accordingly, and they didn’t leave Lexington without a quick troll move directed Kentucky’s way.

“We’re having fun,” the official Tennessee basketball account posted on Twitter, accompanied by a video of the team’s locker room celebration.

They certainly earned it, too.
