Steelers vs. Patriots score: Live updates, game stats, highlights for NFL Week 2 AFC showdown

PITTSBURGH — We’re underway at Acrisure Stadium, as the NFL’s only teams with six Lombardi Trophies are squaring off in Week 2 of the NFL’s regular season.

Both teams are coming off vastly different season-openers. The Steelers are 1-0 after upsetting the Bengals in overtime last Sunday. The Patriots are 0-1 following a lackluster performance in Miami. Despite those outcomes, the visiting Patriots are favored to win this game. One reason for that might be Bill Belichick’s 8-3 record against Mike Tomlin-coached Steelers teams, along with the fact that reigning Defensive Player of the Year T.J. Watt is out for this game after sustaining an injury last week.

Sunday’s game features an interesting quarterback matchup between Mac Jones and Mitch Trubisky. Along with last week’s loss, Jones endured a back injury while also missing practice time with an illness. Trubisky, who put up modest numbers in his Steelers debut, is hoping to connect on more deep shots after not hitting his mark on several big-play attempts last week.

Which team will come out on top? To find out, be sure to follow our live blog below throughout the game for updates, highlights and analysis.
