Projecting AP Top 25 poll entering Week 12

Washington’s scintillating comeback win at No. 6 Oregon rattled the College Football Playoff picture Saturday night. And then came UCLA’s stunning home loss to Arizona that narrowed the Pac-12’s final four hopes to one team — Lincoln Riley’s USC Trojans. Sunday’s Week 12 AP Top 25 rankings will see big changes, along with TCU’s win at Texas.

Several nationally-ranked teams move out of the latest AP Poll, while a few other programs in the playoff hunt noticeably flexed their muscles, including Ohio State, Michigan and Tennessee. The Volunteers scored 66 points during a drubbing of Missouri, a style-points victory for Josh Heupel’s team following last week’s loss to Georgia.

Liberty and Illinois are among the teams who may not be ranked any longer after Hugh Freeze and the Flames lost to UConn and the Fighting Illini suffered a home setback to Purdue to lose ground atop the Big Ten West.
