CLEVELAND, Ohio – Scribbles in my notebook as the Browns lead Detroit, 13-0, at halftime:

1. It’s amazing Tim Boyle is starting an NFL game. In his college career, he threw 12 TD passes compared to 26 interceptions at UConn and Eastern Kentucky. His final season was at Eastern Kentucky, where he threw 11 TD passes compared to 13 interceptions, completing 61% of his passes. He wasn’t drafted out of college, but hooked on as a backup with Green Bay. He never started a game until Sunday. It looked like it, as he was 7-of-13 passing for 39 yards in the first half. It was awful.
