MLB rumors: Live updates with Aaron Judge being pursued by Yankees, Giants at Winter Meetings

Major League Baseball’s 2022 Winter Meetings continue Tuesday in San Diego, and most of the attention is on the biggest name in free agency: Aaron Judge. The record-setting slugger remains unsigned, but both the Yankees and Giants appear to be ramping up efforts to sign him this week. Judge is the top prize on the free agent market, but plenty of other All-Stars are still available, including Carlos Correa, Xander Bogaerts and Carlos Rodón.

Judge is reportedly expected to arrive in San Diego on Tuesday, and he attended the Buccaneers-Saints game in Tampa on Monday night. He’s spent his entire seven-year career with the Yankees, but the Northern California native has met with the Giants in recent weeks. Reports indicate Judge could sign a new contract before the Winter Meetings wrap up on Wednesday.

The MLB offseason is now a month old, and while the first few weeks were slow, things have picked up in recent days with Jacob deGrom (Rangers), Justin Verlander (Mets) and Trea Turner (Phillies) all landing with new teams. Here are the notable moves so far from the Winter Meetings.
