Liverpool vs. Real Madrid: Live 2022 UEFA Champions League final updates as match begins amid security issues

The UEFA Champions League final is underway as Real Madrid and Liverpool kicked off at 3:36 p.m. ET in a delayed kickoff at the Stade de France. The start time was delayed by over half and hour for security reasons as Liverpool fans were delayed outside the stadium and unable to get in through limited available entrances. The first half saw Liverpool with the majority of the chances, with Sadio Mane hitting the post as Thibaut Courtois came up big in goal. On the other side, Real rarely threatened, but they did find the net late in the half via Karim Benzema, only for it to be called offside. The match entered the break level at 0-0.

You can watch the match live on CBS and Paramount+. Los Blancos will go for their 14th European crown, while Liverpool go for their seventh.
