Jets vs. Jaguars score: Live updates, game stats, highlights, analysis for ‘Thursday Night Football’

Two AFC playoff hopefuls are battling this Thursday night, as the New York Jets are hosting the Jacksonville Jaguars in rainy, windy MetLife Stadium. The first half belonged to the Jaguars, as they acquired a 13-3 halftime lead. Jacksonville went 96 yards on 16 plays early in the second quarter to score the first touchdown of the game, as the 6-foot-6 Trevor Lawrence punched it in himself from 1 yard out.

The No. 1 and No. 2 overall picks in the 2021 NFL Draft are battling Mother Nature as well tonight, as a wind advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service. Winds are expected to be blowing at 20 to 25 mph for the game, but there could be gusts that get up to 30 or even 50 mph. That didn’t stop Jaguars kicker Riley Patterson, who converted two of three field goal attempts in the first half.

The Jaguars have won four out of their past six games while the Jets have lost five out of their past seven. Will Jacksonville put more pressure on the Tennessee Titans in the AFC South with a win, or will the Jets further their case in the wild card race? Follow along in the live blog below, as we break down this prime-time matchup as it happens.
