Jesse Marsch is expected to be in charge for Leeds United’s game against Fulham.
Marsch has overseen a haul of just two points from Leeds’s last seven games — and the away section of Leicester City’s King Power Stadium turned on the American as his side lost 2-0 last night.
The travelling supporters criticised his decisions, the fact he did not applaud the visiting fans and sang his predecessor Marcelo Bielsa’s name.
But The Athletic understands Marsch still has the backing of the club’s board.
A defeat against Fulham on Sunday would leave Leeds at risk of dropping into the relegation zone for the first time this season. They are currently 16th, on level points with Wolves in 18th.
After the game, Marsch said: “I know I’m supported by the club. Right now I’m just trying to figure out how to help our team win games.
“Frustration and disappointment and we make life difficult for ourselves, more difficult than we need to. The focus is on stopping the bleeding on Sunday.”
He continued: “The board, we’re totally unified. That’s not an issue.”
