Out of the top 50 prospects in the state of Texas, only one was uncommitted coming into Wednesday’s National Signing Day. The lone player to have yet to make a decision is Houston Cy-Fair running back LJ Johnson.
The 5-foot-10, 205-pounder is ranked as the No. 45 overall prospect in the country, according to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite. He is the No. 4 running back recruit in the country according to the composite rankings as well.
Johnson is an in-state battle with a final two of Texas and Texas A&M. He has been high on both teams throughout the recruiting process and has been a priority target for each going on two years now.
The standout back will announce his decision at 1 p.m. Central on Wednesday and then sign with his school of choice. GigEm247 will be in attendance and will livestream the announcement above.
