Cowboys vs. Cardinals NFL preseason score: Live updates, game stats, highlights, TV channel, live stream

You won’t see Dak Prescott in the game tonight, but you’ll see him on the sideline — something that wasn’t the case when the Dallas Cowboys took on the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Hall of Fame Game last week. It’s a sign the “dramatic” improvement on Prescott’s shoulder is continuing on the upswing, but don’t go looking away simply because the Cowboys’ two-time Pro Bowler won’t play. Fact is, the Cowboys and Arizona Cardinals have a lot to sort out on their respective rosters as the regular-season opener speeds toward them, and some headline-worthy rookies in linebackers Micah Parsons and Zaven Collins, both looking to steal shine from the other in the desert.

It’s paramount the Cowboys fix their much-maligned defense if they’re to avoid wasting another year of primo Prescott and, speaking of defense, the Cardinals are now without future Hall of Fame cornerback Patrick Peterson and no one knows what will transpire with three-time Pro Bowl pass rusher Chandler Jones. Arizona is on the lookout for another potential star in that role who can complement the newly added J.J. Watt — seeing as linebacker Haason Reddick is no longer in town.

The preseason is all about evaluation, and many of these players won’t get many more chances to prove themselves, so tune in as they leave it all on the field on Friday the 13th.
