College football scores, schedule, NCAA top 25 rankings, games today: Iowa-Indiana, Texas-Louisiana in action

The appetizers have been delicious, but the main course that is Week 1 of the 2021 college football season goes down Saturday with 18 ranked teams in action and five games featuring top 25 teams going head-to-head. The featured showdowns of the day are No. 1 Alabama vs. No. 14 Miami in Atlanta and No. 3 Clemson vs. No. 5 Georgia, but there’s plenty of goodness sprawled over the rest of the day.

No. 2 Oklahoma opened the day with a hard-fought win over Tulane, while No. 19 Penn State upset No. 12 Wisconsin in Camp Randall Stadium. Those games, plus Michigan’s 47-14 win over Western Michigan, set the tone for what should be a tremendous slate. No. 17 Indiana is visiting No. 18 Iowa in another top 25 Big Ten showdown, while No. 21 Texas opens by hosting a No. 23 Louisville team that proved to be a menace last season.

CBS Sports will be here every step of the way to update you with the latest scores, highlights and storylines throughout the night. All times Eastern
