After Gonzaga closed the first half on an 8-3 run and held a one-point lead at halftime, it appeared the Bulldogs might have flipped the momentum enough to go on a run to begin the second half of Saturday night’s Final Four showdown with UCLA.
But midway through the second half, the Bruins were still hanging around and trailing just 66-62
Joel Ayayi and Drew Timme have been leading the Bulldogs in scoring, while Johnny Juzang and Jaime Jaquez Jr. have been pacing the Bruins.
Whoever wins will face No. 1 seed Baylor in Monday’s national title game. The Bears easily handled No. 2 seed Houston 78-59 in Saturday’s first Final Four game.
