ANTI-AGING can be confusing and complicated when choosing between promoted skincare regimens and Botox recommendations.
So, what truly is the most effective anti-aging technique? One neuroscientist offered his science-backed research that supported the use of three things every morning.
Robert Love is a neuroscientist who specializes in helping people with Alzheimer’s and Dementia.
On TikTok, Robert shares educational videos packed with advice on how you can improve and sustain your brain health.
He posted a recent video discussing “three-morning supplements to reverse aging.”
These three supplements have been scientifically proven beneficial for “optimal brain health” and slowing down aging.
Robert starts by introducing the first supplement, NMN, which stands for Nicotinamide Mononucleotide, and cites his research from the work of Dr. David Sinclair, a biologist from Harvard University.
“Basically, it’s a precursor to NAD. NAD is an energy source used in basically every cell in your body, similar to ATP,” he says.
“If you don’t have NAD, you basically die within 30 seconds. So, having more NAD not only increases your energy but helps slow down aging.”
NMN is a great source of that energy and Robert admits he takes it every morning too.
Next, Robert introduces resveratrol which Dr. Sinclair is notoriously known for discovering the supplement’s connection to anti-aging efforts.
Resveratrol is found in a lot of red wines and can slow down aging.
Dr. Sinclair found that the most effective way to take resveratrol is to do so every other day.
The final supplement that Robert recommends is quercetin.
“It’s anti-inflammatory, an anti-oxidant, and is believed to protect or enhance CERT1. What it does is it basically helps our DNA be effective and repair our DNA,” he explains.
Robert tells viewers that resveratrol needs to be taken with fat in the morning, and it should always taste similar to burnt popcorn.
For NMN and quercetin, Robert suggests getting them from the brand Thorne or Garden of Life.
One viewer commented: “I take NMN and Resveratrol and turmeric for anti-inflammation. I did not know about the fat or every other day! Thank you!”
“No way he’s 40! I thought he was 28,” a shocked viewer added.
Another person inquired about the dosage they should be taking for each supplement.
“Great question. NMN 1,000 mg, Resverstrol 1,000 mg, Quercetin 500-1,000 mg,” Robert replied.
