Many people remain unvaccinated as the shot becomes more widely available by choice, but a new study shows that unvaccinated people could catch it every 16 months.
Natural immunity was found to not last as long as vaccine immunity, and the study focused on those who were infected with or vaccinated against COVID-19.
The amount of time is an average for those with natural immunity, because results vary on length of time and rely on many different factors.
Though studies appear to show natural immunity isn’t a reliable form of immunity, politicians and athletes continue to push for it to be considered as effective as the vaccine when considering immunity.
