THIS AT THE LOWE’S HOME IMPROVEMENT ON LAKE WASHINGTON AND JEFFERSON BOULEVARD. LISA: WE HAVE A LIVE SHOT. YOU CAN SEE A HUGE POLICE PRESENCE. POLICE TELL US A SUSPECT HAS LOCKED HIMSELF INSIDE A MANAGER’S OFFICE, AND REFUSED TO COME OUT. THEY BELIEVE THE SUSPECT DOES HAVE A KNIFE, BUT SO FAR HAS NOT THREATENED ANYONE, BUT THEY DID EVACUATE THE STORE AS A PRECAUTION. THERE IS A BIG GROUP OF EMPLOYEES STANDING OUTSIDE THE STORE. THERE ARE NO CUSTOMERS INSIDE, BUT WE DID SEE A GROUP OF EMPLOYEES. BRIAN: THEY HAVE A MENTAL HEALTH SPECIALIST THERE RIGHT NOW TRYING TO TALK TO HIM.

The Lowe’s in West Sacramento was evacuated because of a standoff Friday night, police said.West Sacramento Police Department officials responded to a call at 7:45 p.m. reporting that a possibly intoxicated person had locked himself inside one of the manager’s offices at the store along Lake Washington Boulevard.Initial reports said the person might be armed with a knife but police didn’t believe he was threatening anyone.
