Omaha Public Power District to provide updates on storm outages

OPPD scheduled a press conference for 4 p.m. Saturday to discuss storm outages. OPPD says 85,000 customers have had power restored and at the time of the press conference 97,000 customers are still without power.Officials say areas with a lot of trees are the most difficult to restore. People without power should be prepared for possibly multiple days without power.OPPD say they believe two-thirds of people should have power back by midnight however more storms tonight could slow progress down.
