Robert Griffin III’s wife Grete ‘still pregnant’ after labor ordeal
Robert Griffin III and his wife, Grete Griffin, will have to wait a bit longer until they meet their new bundle of joy.
Hours after the former NFL quarterback bolted from ESPN’s broadcast of the College Football Playoff semifinals between TCU and Michigan, believing his wife was about to give birth, Grete took to her Instagram Stories on Sunday morning to share she’s still pregnant with the couple’s third child.
“Hi guys, still pregnant,” Grete began in a video as she sat beside Griffin, 32, in a car.
“Take number two: Dropping Robert off at the airport to go to another bowl game. Hopefully this time, baby will stay in… She wanted to make a dramatic entrance to 2023 but decided not to, so, we’ll see how it goes this time around.”
Griffin, who confirmed in August 2022 that he and Grete are expecting a baby girl, made a surprise exit Saturday night before TCU knocked off Michigan, 51-45, to advance to the national championship game. Griffin took a phone call and then darted off the sidelines.
“I gotta go,” he said. “My wife is going into labor! I’ll see you guys later!”
Griffin later posted a video of the ordeal on his Instagram page, writing, “What a time!!!!!!”
Grete, a fitness enthusiast and businesswoman, remarked on her own page Sunday, “False alarm people,” and also expressed her gratitude toward Griffin.
“I gave him a call in the middle of him being on live TV fully expecting to not get a hold of him but I guess when your wife is 9 months pregnant and calls you you answer the phone no matter what you’re doing huh?” Grete wrote. “All I had to say was the word ‘labor’ and this man STOPPED CALLING A BOWL GAME and took off sprinting to the car to get to the airport and get on a 4 hour flight to make it home. I love you more than life baby and I am so beyond grateful for how you love me, care for me, and what you sacrifice for me.”
Griffin and Grete have been married since 2018 and share two daughters together: Gloria, 5, and Gameya, 3. Griffin is also a dad to a daughter named Reese from a previous relationship.
Tom Brady, Gisele Bündchen hire divorce lawyers, sources say
Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen seem to be heading for the end zone: Both have retained divorce lawyers, multiple sources tell Page Six exclusively.
As previously revealed, the couple have been living separately for the past couple months following an epic fight — and they’re now apparently looking at dividing up their multimillion-dollar empire.
“I never actually thought this argument would be the end of them, but it looks like it is,” one source in the know tells Page Six.
“I don’t think there will be any coming back now. They both have lawyers and are looking at what a split will entail, who gets what and what the finances will be.”
Reps for Brady and Bündchen did not respond to requests for comment.
Insiders close to the seven-time Super Bowl champ, 45, and the supermodel, 42 — who have been married since 2009 — say both are very involved in their children’s lives and would share joint custody in any separation.
They share son Benjamin, 12, and daughter Vivian, 9, and Brady is also the father of son Jack, 15, with ex Bridget Moynahan.
The couple would likely file for divorce in Florida, as that’s where they are primarily based, legal experts say. Another source who knows the couple confirm they are looking at dividing their assets, which includes a $26 million property portfolio.
From 2021 to 2022, Brady’s estimated overall net worth swelled from $180 million to $250 million. In May, Forbes reported he is now the ninth-highest-paid athlete in the world, with endorsement deals including Under Armour, Sam Adams, Foot Locker and Tag Heuer.
As Page Six first reported in December 2020, their most recent property purchase was a $17 million home on Indian Creek Island in Miami, nicknamed “Billionaires Bunker.” They planned to knock down the 5,172-square-foot, five-bedroom mansion on the two-acre lot and build a new one.
But work has recently stalled on the property amid the marital fallout.
The couple also own a condo at 70 Vestry St. in Tribeca, valued at $3.6 million, as well as a $5.7 million property at developer Mike Meldman’s Yellowstone Club in Montana.
Bündchen’s favorite property is believed to be their remote home on the Nicoya Peninsula in Costa Rica, where the family often vacations.
Ahead of Hurricane Ian, the pair both fled Tampa, where Brady is playing for the Buccaneers, and went to Miami, where they have been staying apart. Bündchen has been spotted there over the past few days.
A source told us that Bündchen has been staying in the Miami home that she and Brady rented in 2020; it’s not clear where the quarterback was holed up.
Although sources close to Bündchen have stressed that it is “sexist” to say the split is over the model’s issues with Brady reneging on his NFL retirement, the source in the know says, “As with many marriages, it’s not just one thing. Gisele has made it clear that she worried about Tom playing football and that they had had many talks about it.
“But they have had a series of blowups over the past few years, and this time it looks like there’s no going back.”
Tom Brady’s task ‘if he wants to stay married’ to Gisele Bündchen
Tom Brady is “doing what he can do to smooth things over” with wife Gisele Bündchen amid tension in their 13-year union over his decision to un-retire from the NFL, according to a new report.
The Buccaneers quarterback, who recently kicked off his 23rd year in the league with a win against the Cowboys on Sunday, knows “that this is his last season if he wants to stay married,” a source told People on Wednesday.
“She doesn’t hate that he’s playing football, but she sure hates the way he handled the retirement and coming back,” the insider said of Bündchen, 42, and Brady, 45.
“He knows that, and he’s doing what he can do to smooth things over. He does know that this is his last season if he wants to stay married.”
The source also told the publication that the couple’s marriage isn’t “over by any means.” Meanwhile, CNN reported Thursday that Brady and Bündchen are “living separately” amid the marital woes.
Brady first announced in February that he was stepping away from the game after 22 seasons. A month later, however, he changed course and rejoined the Buccaneers.
“These past two months I have realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands. That time will come. But it’s not now,” Brady posted on Instagram in March, to which Bündchen replied, “Here we go again! Let’s go lovvvey!”
Leading up to the start of the regular season, Brady stepped away from training camp for 11 days in August due to personal reasons. In the days following his return, Page Six exclusively reported that Brady and Bündchen were in the midst of a big fight.
“There’s been trouble in the marriage over his decision to un-retire. Gisele has always been the one with the kids,” a source told Page Six in early September.
“They had agreed he would retire to focus on the family, then he changed his mind.”
For Brady’s first game of the regular season, though, Bündchen — who shares son Benjamin, 12, and daughter Vivian, 9, with the seven-time Super Bowl champ — tweeted a message of support.
“Let’s go @TomBrady ! Let’s go Bucs!” she wrote Sunday, the same day Brady’s Buccaneers topped the Cowboys, 19-3.
With Brady gearing up for a Week 2 showdown against the Saints in New Orleans, Bündchen is said to be in New York as part of Fashion Week, Page Six reported Tuesday, the same day her Elle cover story dropped.
In the feature, which is part of the publication’s October 2022 issue, Bündchen spoke about her future plans.
“I’ve done my part, which is [to] be there for [Tom]. I moved to Boston, and I focused on creating a cocoon and a loving environment for my children to grow up in and to be there supporting him and his dreams. Seeing my children succeed and become the beautiful little humans that they are, seeing him succeed, and being fulfilled in his career— it makes me happy. At this point in my life, I feel like I’ve done a good job on that,” the supermodel told Elle, later adding, “I have a huge list of things that I have to do, that I want to do.”
When Brady does hang up his cleats for good, the quarterback — who is also a dad to 15-year-old son Jack with ex Bridget Moynahan — will slide into the broadcast booth as Fox Sports’ lead NFL analyst. He agreed to a monster 10-year, $375 million deal with the network, The Post’s Andrew Marchand reported in May.
Reps for Brady and Bündchen did not immediately return The Post’s request for comment.
Nick Kyrgios’ girlfriend advised to ‘walk out’ over US Open drama
A former tennis pro has suggested that Nick Kyrgios’ inner circle, including girlfriend Costeen Hatzi, “should probably be standing up and walking out” of his events following Wednesday’s theatrics at the 2022 U.S. Open.
Todd Woodbridge, a former Australian athlete turned broadcaster, issued that sentiment in regard to Kyrgios’ behavior during his second-round victory against France’s Benjamin Bonzi, in which the fiery 27-year-old appeared to take aim at those in his player’s box — where Hatzi, 22, among others, was seated — and demanded they be more vocal in their support.
Warning: Explicit language
“The behavior is just not helpful and it’s just not healthy,” Woodbridge said on Australia’s Channel 9 broadcast, according to News.com.au.
“The people that are sitting in his player’s box have to take some action. That action should probably be standing up and walking out. They’ve got nothing to do with what goes on the court. It’s up to Nick to make the shots and hit the plays.”
During the third set Wednesday, Kyrgios — currently ranked No. 25 in the world — can be heard yelling, “Go home if you’re not going to f–king support me, bro,” as he sat on the sideline. The Wimbledon finalist was issued a warning for the outburst, in which he also spit on the court, seemingly in the box’s direction.
In a post-match press conference, Kyrgios said it’s been a “stressful time” and that he and his team are hopeful “to go deep” into the tournament.
“I’m just really happy to get through,” Kyrgios said after defeating Bonzi, 7-6 (7-3), 6-4, 4-6, 6-4.
“It’s been a very stressful time. Me and my team have high expectations to go deep this week and I’m just glad I got through.”
Kyrgios is set to face American J.J. Wolf in the third round Friday.
Leading up to the tournament, Kyrgios enjoyed some downtime in New York with Hatzi by his side. A social media influencer, Hatzi has traveled the globe with Kyrgios over the past several months, supporting him at different tournaments.
The couple made their relationship public late last year following Kyrgios’ breakup with Chiara Passari. In July, News.com.au reported that Kyrgios had been accused of assaulting his former partner stemming from a Dec. 2021 incident. He is due in court in October.
Sophie Scott marks Mac Jones’ second year with Patriots
Sophie Scott is ready to see boyfriend Mac Jones back in action.
Taking to Instagram on Sunday, the girlfriend of the Patriots’ second-year quarterback posted a sweet couple’s shot from training camp, as New England prepares for its first preseason game Thursday against the Giants.
“Year 2,” Scott gushed.
Jones, 23, who has been dating Scott for nearly three years, helped lead New England to a playoff appearance as a rookie in 2021. And while the Patriots are hoping to replicate last season’s magic, alarm bells have since started ringing in regard to the offense.
Tom E. Curran, the Patriots’ insider for NBC Sports Boston remarked on Twitter that the team’s No. 1 offense “has been distressingly bad” in training camp.
“Run stuffs. Aborted plays. Would-be sacks. Distress lobs into traffic just to get ball out,” Curran continued Monday, later adding, “They are perpetually overwhelmed.”
New England is without longtime offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels this season following his January departure to become head coach of the Raiders. Jones and the offense are now working with Matt Patricia, who rejoined the Patriots in 2021 after a brief stint coaching the Lions.
Patricia has been calling the offensive plays during training camp while holding the title of senior football advisor and offensive line coach. He previously served as the Patriots’ defensive coordinator from 2012-17.
Despite a challenging start, Jones is preaching patience as the offense learns its new scheme.
“I’m going to figure it out. I always have. I always will,” Jones told reporters on Tuesday. “At the end of the day, you’re going to have your ups and downs with anything new … I think we’re close on a lot of things. It’s just that 2% we need to fix.”
Jones threw for 3,801 yards through 17 regular-season games last year, along with 22 touchdowns and 13 interceptions.
Kristin Cavallari reconnected with Stephen Colletti after Jay Cutler split
Kristin Cavallari opened up Tuesday about reconnecting with friend and fellow “Laguna Beach,” alum Stephen Colletti, after splitting from husband Jay Cutler.
During Tuesday’s debut installment of Dear Media’s “Back to the Beach” podcast, where Cavallari, 35, and Colletti, 36, recount past episodes of the MTV reality series, the Uncommon James founder shared that she and her one-time ex Colletti “lost touch a little bit” during her marriage to Cutler, 39.
“We lost touch a little bit when I was married. I was with my ex for 10 years,” said Cavallari, who announced her divorce from the former Bears quarterback in April 2020.
Colletti, who appeared on “Laguna Beach” with Cavallari beginning in 2004, reunited with his former flame in the summer of 2020, collectively breaking the internet after she posted a photo of the two of them together.
“And so, you and I went to dinner and it was the first time we had seen each other in probably [10 years] at least,” Cavallari said. “So anyways, we went to dinner, we had a lot of fun… We may or may not have kissed.”
Since her “Laguna Beach” days, Cavallari has appeared on other reality shows, including MTV’s “The Hills,” and E!’s “Very Cavallari,” which ended in May 2020 in the wake of her breakup with Cutler, whom she shares three young children: sons Camden, 9, Jaxon, 8, and 6-year-old daughter Saylor.
Cutler, who played in the NFL for 12 seasons, has since segued into the podcasting space with his own show, “Uncut with Jay Cutler.” He touched upon the pair’s divorce on his podcast last month.
“I don’t recommend divorce for anybody, let me go ahead and say that,” Cutler said at the time. “But, it worked out. It worked out for Kristin, it worked out for me. It is what it is.”
Though Cutler added on the episode that he “threw a party” once the settlement arrived, Us Weekly reported in June that the divorce is not yet finalized.
Cutler has also tossed his name into the ring for a possible broadcasting gig following sports media’s game of musical chairs earlier this year.
Cutler, a former first-round pick, was poised to take a Fox gig in 2017 but opted to play one more season with the Dolphins for $10 million instead.
He and Cavallari initially tied the knot in 2013.
Paulina Gretzky marries Dustin Johnson in Tennessee wedding
Dustin Johnson and Paulina Gretzky are officially husband and wife.
The longtime couple, who announced their engagement in 2013, tied the knot on Saturday at Blackberry Farm, a five-star hotel and resort in Tennessee, a source told People on Sunday.
Gretzky, 33, and Johnson, 37, were joined by friends and family for their wedding weekend, including sons Tatum, 7, and River, 4. The bride also reportedly wore a Vera Wang dress for the big day.
Gretzky and Johnson’s wedding festivities kicked off Thursday, with the couple and loved ones enjoying an intimate dinner party. Guests later took snaps in a photo booth, with all the photos marked with the newlyweds’ names and their wedding date.
On Friday afternoon, bride-to-be Gretzky took in the venue’s gorgeous scenery as she stepped out in a white mini dress with silver pumps.
Leading up to the big day, Gretzky — who is the daughter of hockey legend Wayne Gretzky — had a lavish bachelorette party in St. Barths. Gretzky’s group checked out a collection of celeb hot spots, including Bagatelle and Nikki Beach, during the epic bash.
Gretzky dubbed the event, “P’s Last D,” with the theme, “No Regretzkys.”
The month of April has certainly been eventful for Gretzky and Johnson. In the weeks leading up to their nuptials, Gretzky supported Johnson at Augusta National, where he competed in the 2022 Masters. Johnson, the 2020 champion, finished this year’s tournament tied for 12th place.
Johnson, who is currently the ninth-ranked golfer in the world with a reported net worth of $50 million, most recently competed in last week’s RBC Heritage event.
Matt Ryan’s wife Sarah says goodbye to Falcons after Colts trade
Matty Ice is moving on.
The Falcons traded longtime quarterback Matt Ryan to the Colts on Monday after 14 seasons in Atlanta. Following the news of yet another blockbuster spin on the NFL’s quarterback carousel, Ryan’s wife Sarah, expressed her gratitude for the organization and the city they’ve called home for his entire NFL career.
“I’m not crying, you’re crying,” Sarah tweeted alongside a Ryan tribute video from the Falcons. “Forever thankful to this team, fan base and city!”
Sarah, who has been married to Ryan since 2011 and shares twin sons with the quarterback, also celebrated her husband’s new team by sharing a gif of the Colts’ mascot, Blue.
Throughout the day Monday, Sarah also posted sincere messages on her Instagram Story from loved ones, who congratulated the Ryans on their next move. Kelly Stafford, the wife of Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford and a close friend, celebrated the Colts’ gain.
“Let’s f–king goooooo!! Although damnit they are gonna be so damn good now!” Stafford posted on her Instagram Story, adding, “Prayers to the falcons.”
The Falcons selected Ryan No. 3 overall in 2008. He is a four-time Pro Bowler and was named the league’s MVP in 2016. In 17 games last season, he threw for 3,968 yards with 20 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.
Atlanta had been the mix for Deshaun Watson’s services up until last week, when the Browns stunned the league by trading for the estranged Texans quarterback. Cleveland offered Watson a five-year, $230 million deal, fully guaranteed.
The Colts, meanwhile, had been in the market for a quarterback after sending Carson Wentz to the Commanders earlier this month. The former Eagles quarterback had spent one season in Indianapolis.
