Are Selena Gomez and Tyga Dating? Sources Close to Sel Weigh In

So, yesterday while everyone was minding their own business, TMZ casually dropped photos of Selena Gomez and Tyga seemingly hanging out together circa 2:30 AM at L.A. ~hot spot~ The Nice Guy. The outlet reports that they left the restaurant at the same time—with Sel departing from the back door and Tyga from the front, and naturally the internet immediately assumed they were dating / lost all chill. Especially since Tyga was also seen at Selena’s celeb-packed birthday party last month:

But before you jump to conclusions, a source “close to Selena” has since reached out to TMZ to clarify that she and Tyga are not a thing. As the outlet put it “the two aren’t dating, they were there separately to see different people, and their groups ended up hanging out together inside.”

Meanwhile, Selena was recently linked to filmmaker Andrea Iervolino (they were spotted together in Italy), but a source recently told Us Weekly that they are “just friends.” This source also revealed that Selena is “dating and is keeping her options open with a few guys” and said “She’s really happy and is perfectly OK with being single. She’s surrounded by best friends who are her biggest support system.” Apparently, Selena’s also keeping busy with work, and “now that she’s in her 30s, she sees this as a new and exciting chapter of her life.”

Selena Gomez and Tyga are ‘not dating’, met with different people during Los Angeles outing: Report

Selena Gomez and Tyga recently sparked romance rumours after the duo was spotted visiting the same restaurant in Los Angeles. According to TMZ, the duo were also spotted leaving separately around the same time from the popular Hollywood joint, The Nice Guy. While fans were quick enough to wonder whether something was going on between the two, an insider revealed details about their meet. 

According to Just Jared, a source close to Selena shut down the dating rumours and said Selena and Tyga both were there separately to see different people although their groups ended up hanging out together inside. The insider also cleared up that the two aren’t dating. Before her recent LA outing, Selena was last week spotted hanging out with producer Andrea Iervolino during her Italy vacation. 

As for the singer’s rumours about dating Kylie Jenner’s ex Tyga, netizens seemed to believe that something was brewing because the rapper was also spotted at Gomez’s 30th birthday bash. Selena celebrated her birthday last month and the singer was joined by several and close friends from the music industry including the likes of Olivia Rodrigo, Taylor Swift, Camila Cabello and more. 

The singer later also headed for an Italian vacation where Gomez was spotted spending time with Iervolino who accompanied her on a boat ride. The duo were also spotted looking cozy and intimate under the summer sun in Italy. Although Selena has not made any confirmation about her relationship yet. On the work front, the singer is all set to return with a new season of her cooking show, Selena + Chef soon.

Tyga Won’t Be Charged With Felony in Domestic Violence Case

Tyga just got a little bit of good news in his domestic violence case … we’ve learned he will NOT be hit with a felony.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … the police passed the rapper’s DV case to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office so they could decide if they wanted to file charges against Tyga.

But, according to the L.A. County D.A. … the case has now been kicked over to the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office … and that means he won’t be charged with a felony because only the D.A.’s Office can charge folks with a felony.

TMZ broke the story … Tyga was arrested for felony domestic violence last month, turning himself in to authorities after his ex-girlfriend, Camaryn Swanson, claimed he got physical with her.

Camaryn filed a police report, claiming Tyga hit her … and she later posted video showing her alleged injuries. Tyga’s camp claims her allegations are “false and will be disproven.”

The exes reportedly started dating early this year, and in March they went Instagram official. It’s unclear when they split, but we’re told it happened before the alleged incident.

We’re told, Camaryn’s injuries and the evidence did not rise to a felony charge and that’s the reason it was kicked to the City Attorney.

Tyga is not completely off the hook yet … he could still be hit with a misdemeanor by the City Attorney … but he doesn’t have to worry about a felony anymore.

Tyga Still Playing Rolling Loud CA After Domestic Violence Arrest

Tyga‘s dodging cancel culture — at least to this point, because TMZ’s learned he has NOT been yanked off the Rolling Loud CA lineup on the heels of his domestic violence arrest.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ … Rolling Loud is not pulling the “Rack City” rapper from his scheduled performance in December. The festival’s position is noteworthy when you consider several music festivals were quick to remove DaBaby earlier this year, following his homophobic rant at Rolling Loud Miami.

In fact, Tyga was on a stage Thursday night at a club in Orange County … just 2 days after LAPD booked him for felony domestic violence.

Our sources say Tyga felt he had an obligation to perform the club gig, and had a bunch of friends and family members on hand to support him. We’re also told Tyga will continue to show up where he’s slated to perform and hold his head high.

As we reported … he voluntarily turned himself in to the LAPD following allegations his ex-GF, Camaryn Swanson, made against the rapper. Swanson claimed he roughed her up during a dispute at his house earlier this week.

Sources close to Tyga say Camaryn showed up at his house around 3 AM Monday and acted belligerent at the door — but after Tyga let her inside, things allegedly turned physical.

Camaryn filed a police report, claiming Tyga struck her, and she later posted video showing her alleged injuries. A rep for Tyga tells us, “The allegations you have been reading about our client the past few days are false and will be disproven.”

We reached out to officials at Rolling Loud, and they had no comment.

Rapper Tyga arrested for felony domestic violence in Los Angeles

Tyga was arrested Tuesday morning on suspicion of felony domestic violence in Hollywood, authorities said. The 31-year-old rapper, whose real name is Michael Stevenson, turned himself in at the LAPD’s Hollywood station, and his bail was set at $50,000, they said.

The Los Angeles Police Department said the alleged incident occurred Monday but they did not release any other details. The arrest comes one day after Tyga’s ex-girlfriend, Camaryn Swanson, shared a series of photos of herself with a black eye on her Instagram account. 

In one post, Swanson wrote: “I’ve been emotionally, mentally and physically abused and I’m not hiding it anymore.” In subsequent posts, she disputed TMZ reports that said she showed up at the rapper’s house at 3 a.m., acting belligerent and yelling.

“@tmz_tv I didn’t show up ‘screaming’ or uninvited. When I tried to leave, he physically assaulted and refused to let me leave for hours,” she added. “I’m so embarrassed and ashamed it had to get to this but I have to stand up for myself.”

Tyga Cooperating with Authorities After Ex-GF Claims He Got Physical

Tyga and his girlfriend got into it after she showed up at his home screaming in the middle of the night, and now she’s accusing him of domestic violence … TMZ has learned.

According to a source very close to the rapper … his ex-GF, Camaryn Swanson, came over to his home around 3 AM after he told her not to, and she was at his front door, shouting at the top of her lungs.

We’re told Tyga, and other family members in his home felt Camaryn appeared to be under the influence. Still, he still let her inside to talk, and the yelling continued.

Our law enforcement sources say Camaryn claims Tyga put his hands on her during the argument. Afterward, her mother came to pick her up, and then Camaryn called cops to report the alleged incident.

We’re told responding officers saw “visible marks” on her, and they took a report for felony domestic violence. Tyga has not been arrested. Police went to his home Monday morning, but he refused to speak with them. Instead, we’re told he will go to LAPD Tuesday morning to tell his side of the story.

Tyga and Camaryn reportedly began dating in early 2021, and went Instagram official in March. It’s unclear when they broke up, but we’re told it happened prior to her showing up Monday morning at his home.

We’ve reached out to Tyga’s camp, but no word back.
