She is a queen of the break-up song, thanks to classic hits such as Since U Been Gone and Miss Independent.

But Kelly Clarkson has confessed that she is having a tricky time picking her next big tune, considering the public will no doubt be connecting it to her very public and bitter divorce from ex Brandon Blackstock.

In a new interview on The Chart Show With Brooke Reese, which was released on Wednesday, the American Idol champ said she’s ‘got to get [her] c**p together’ and release something after putting her plans on hold to get through the marriage split. 

The 40-year-old singer and chat show host filed for divorce from her 43-year-old now-ex-husband in 2020, and the split was finalized last year.

Clarkson began by illustrating the difficulty that had been placed on her by the end of her marriage. 

‘Everybody knows the huge divorce I went through and it’s been, like two years and not easy with kids,’ she said.

The Stronger singer then remarked that she was currently figuring out what she would be making available to the public. 

‘I’m just navigating what I’m comfortable with releasing. So, it’s just a hard thing to navigate,’ she stated.

Clarkson also expressed that working on music after her divorce had been a particularly arduous process. 

The performer made a point of stating that ‘I’ve never had this difficult of a project.’

She then noted that having her divorce play out ‘in the public eye’ coupled with her motherhood created ‘a whole different dynamic’ in her life.

The television personality did express that, although her fans would be able to enjoy new music in the future, she would have to get her personal life in order before anything premiered.

‘It’s coming. I just got to get my c**p together. I just got to figure out what I’m going to release,’ she said. 

Clarkson began seeing Blackstock in 2012, and they went on to tie the knot the following year.

The former couple went on to welcome daughter River Rose and son Remington Alexander, aged eight and six, over the course of her marriage.

The performer’s former husband also served as her manager during their time together.

Clarkson released three albums, entitled Wrapped In Red, Piece By Piece and Meaning Of Life, during her time with Blackstock.

However, it was revealed that the singer had filed for divorce in June of 2020.

The pair then began a legal battle over their children, and the singer received primary custody that November.

The singer was declared to be legally divorced in July of last year, and her split was formalized the following month.

D.L. Hughley no longer acknowledging Mo’Nique after feud over billing on Detroit comedy show

D.L. Hughley is no longer acknowledging Mo’Nique following a monthlong feud between the comics that stemmed from him getting top billing over her at a May 28 concert in Detroit.

Hughley, 59, was asked by TMZ in Los Angeles on Wednesday about Mo’Nique, 54, and said he no longer will address the rift with her.

‘You only get so many breaths in your life and I refuse to use one more on somebody like that,’ Hughley said.

Mo’Nique earlier this month apologized for remarks she made in reference to an alleged sexual assault on Hughley’s daughter; she was subsequently publicly criticized via social media by his eldest daughter, Ryan Nicole Shepard.

While performing at the Duke Energy Center of Performing Arts in Raleigh, North Carolina June 19, she said, ‘I like to consider myself a woman of honor, so, I have to do something right now publicly that I did publicly and when I f*** it up, I’ve got to fix it up. So, I’m going to take care of that right now – to D.L. Hughley’s family, to I want to publicly apologize if I hurt anyone’s feelings.

‘I want to publicly apologize to his wife, his babies, if I hurt their feelings because that was never my … intention. I never meant to hurt their feelings.’

After he was asked about the apology Wednesday, Hughley said, ‘I haven’t heard anything, I don’t listen to that – not at all.

‘I can tell you this: I work, my family’s intact, I just came from doing a benefit for the people that are affected by the tragedy in Buffalo. I go home and see my granddaughter.’

Hughley said he has ‘no words or breath for somebody like that,’ and he draws the line at attacks on his family.

The rift between the two initially began when Mo’Nique ripped Hughley onstage during The Comedy Explosion show, an event they both performed in, at the Fox Theater in Detroit on May 28.

In her set at, Mo’Nique said that she specifically signed onto the show as the headline act, and accused Hughley of threatening not to perform if he had to go on before her.

‘The contract – the motherf***ing contract says that a b**** is the headliner – the headliner – let me say it again, the headliner,’ Mo’Nique said. ‘That’s what the motherf***ing contract says, Mo’Nique is to be the last motherf***ing person on the … stage, she is the headliner. That’s what I signed the f*** up for, I’m 30-plus years in this and motherf***ing I don’t open for’ nobody.

She continued: ‘The contract said the headliner, the contract said the headliner, the contract said the headliner, but … D.L. Hughley turned into a b**** and said, “I won’t perform if she does that … I won’t go out if she does that”‘ … so when I leave this motherf***er, the headliner has left.’

Mo’Nique noted that she has a ‘history’ with Hughley, saying he has past publicly criticized her professionally with no provocation.

In response, Hughley cited Mo’Nique’s past show business feuds, naming a litany of people and companies who Mo’Nique has past expressed issues with in illustrating her history of professional grievances.

‘Oprah was the problem, Tyler Perry was the problem, Charlamagne was the problem, Steve Harvey was the problem, Lee Daniels was the problem, Netflix was the problem… Now it’s MY turn,’ Hughley said. ‘At some point it can’t be everyone else, IT’S YOU!! Lesson learned … I wonder who’s next …’

Hughley noted Mo’Nique’s Oscar-winning performance in the 2009 movie Precious, in which she played the mercurial, abusive and manipulative mother of the titular character.

‘Apparently, the role you played in PRECIOUS turned out to be an autobiography,’ he said.

Family, friends and colleagues of late actress Mary Mara mourned her in the wake of her drowning death at the age of 61 in upstate New York.

Mara, known for her roles on ER, Criminal Minds, Dexter and Ray Donovan, was hailed by her relatives as ‘a gifted character actor’ who excelled in ‘complex portrayals of often-troubled characters’ in an obituary shared with People. 

The obituary stated that Mara’s ’32-year career in film and television resembled that of a veteran utility infielder who just missed stardom but always played for winning teams.’

Authorities with the New York State Police on Monday said that Mara was found after 8 a.m. Sunday in the St. Lawrence River near Cape Vincent, and that early results of a probe suggest she drowned while swimming.

‘The victim’s body showed no signs of foul play and was transported to the Jefferson County Medical Examiner’s Office pending an autopsy to determine an official cause of death,’ police said.

Mara is survived by stepdaughter Katie Mersola, sisters Martha Mara and Susan Mara, brother-in-law Scott Dailey and nephew Christopher Dailey.

Wendy Williams to launch her own podcast with Kardashians and Trumps as guests after talk show axe

Wendy Williams is already planning her next career move after her long-running talk show came to an end earlier this month after 13 seasons. 

TMZ reported on Tuesday that the 57-year-old television host is preparing for a foray into the world of podcasting.

During a brief interview with the outlet last night, Wendy confirmed her plans to launch her own podcast, adding that it ‘will make more money for me than doing the TV show.’

Wendy’s representative Will Selby further elaborated on the project, telling the outlet that the former radio DJ has no interest in returning to television full-time. 

He said that she is already busy at work lining up guests for her podcast. 

Selby will be serving as executive producer for Wendy’s new venture and confirmed that she has had conversations with some of her favorite music stars including Snoop Dogg, 50, and Fat Joe, 51, about making guest appearances.

According to Selby, Wendy has not decided if she will release her podcast independently or in partnership with a single platform such as Apple or Spotify.

While the podcast is currently in the works, Selby told TMZ that there is no timetable set for its release.  

He also noted that Wendy remains open to making appearances on talk shows and reality series including The View and The Real Housewives franchise.

Wendy did not appear in a single episode of her talk show’s last season after taking a hiatus due to health reasons. 

Sherri Shepherd, who is taking over her time slot, paid tribute to the host during the show’s finale episode but Wendy did not make an appearance.

During a recent interview with The Wrap, Selena, Martin, and Steve revealed that they didn’t receive scripts too far in advance, keeping the identity of the second season’s killer a mystery even from them.

‘I was pleasantly shocked,’ Gomez told the publication.

The trio also talked about balancing the comedic elements of the show while still staying true to its overall crime narrative.

‘It’s always difficult to balance because you’re in a serious crime story, and then you wonder how big the comedy can get,’ Martin, 76, said. ‘And hopefully the editors and director guide you to the right degree of performance.’

The group also talked about some fun behind the scenes facts in the interview including that, despite his character’s obsession with dip, the 72-year-old Short doesn’t care for it much at all.

Hailey Bieber gushes over massive billboard for her new Rhode skincare line in Hollywood

Hailey Bieber got a thrill when she drove past the huge billboard advertising her new skincare line Rhode on Hollywood’s world-famous Sunset Blvd earlier this week.

Plastered on the side of a tall building, the massive promo poster features a closeup of Hailey’s face with Rhode’s Barrier Restore Cream dotted on her cheeks, forehead and chin.

‘hello LA wave if you drive by @rhode on sunset,’ Bieber, 25, wrote to her 45.5 million Instagram fans and followers in a post shared Thursday.

The billboard photo only shows the in-demand model from the neck up. Her long tresses are pulled back off of her face with a white head band, giving admirers a full view of her products in action.

Wanting to show off some of Rhode’s standout products, Bieber took to her Instagram to share how she incorporates them into her current beauty routine.

‘For the past week my skin has been a little angry and irritated for I think a few factors: stress, travel, lack of sleep, PMS (premenstrual syndrome), and testing out a new product,’ she wrote alongside a closeup photo of herself highlighting small blemishes on her face.

‘Usually when my skin gets like this I only reach for products that will help calm and heal the skin while keeping bacteria away,’ she continued in a follow-up Story post.

Staying in promo mode, Bieber proceeded to list off Rhode’s Barrier Restore Cream and the sold-out Peptide Glazing Fluid as her go-to products when her skin is flaring up.

She also cite the brand Tower 28’s facial spray and Avene’s Cicalfate Restorative Cream as must-haves.

Bieber also included a five-step Rhode treatment that users of the brand can follow if they’re dealing with skin issues similar to her.

Less than two weeks after the launch of Rhode, Bieber and the company were slapped with a trademark infringement lawsuit from a fashion company using the same name that was formed back in 2013.

According to Good Morning America, the plaintiffs claim Bieber offered to purchase the RHODE trademark for clothing four years ago.

Rhode is also advertised as ‘a new philosophy on skincare’, while the products are described as ‘ vegan, cruelty free, gluten-free and dermatologist developed’ 

‘Today, we were forced to file a lawsuit against Hailey Bieber and her new skin-care line that launched last week and that is using the brand rhode,’ the co-owners of the nine-year-old, minority-owned Rhode clothing company wrote in a statement.

The co-owners stated that they ‘didn’t want to file this lawsuit,’ but they had to in order to protect against brand confusion.

Co-founders Purna Khatau and Phoebe Vickers, who filed the lawsuit on June 21 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, made a point of praising Bieber for creating her own skin-care line.

‘We don’t want to sue Hailey; we want to celebrate her. As fellow women entrepreneurs, we wish her every success,’ they said in a statement.

Bieber has not yet responded to the lawsuit or commented publicly on it, but a source associated with the model claims Hailey and the clothing company both have trademarks for different kinds of business, meaning the clothing company might not have a basis to sue her.

Lily Anne Harrison revealed she is expecting her first child with Peter Facinelli at a panel, titled Behind-The-Scenes of Creating a Hallmark Movie, on Saturday. 

The Christmas Camp actress, 33, announced the exciting news by gushing she is ‘very pregnant’ at the convention in West Palm Beach, according to Us Weekly, just three weeks after stepping out with a visible baby bump this month Los Angeles.

While the couple’s nuptials have been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the star also gushed about knowing ‘immediately’ that she would marry the Twilight alum, 48, after their first date.

‘I sat down with him, and I knew immediately that he was my husband,’ she gushed, before admitting to calling her parents to let them know. 

In 2020, the duo got engaged during a holiday getaway to Mazatlan, Mexico.

‘Both are beyond elated,’ a rep for the New York City native told the outlet, ‘and are very much looking forward to all that the New Year will bring.’

Harrison wrote: ‘Bye 2019 thanks for kicking my butt, making me stronger than ever, protecting my family and hurtling me toward my dreams also, not a bad way to ring in the new year with my sweetheart.’

The Nurse Jackie actor’s three daughters with ex-wife Jennie Garth – Luca, 24, Lola, 19, and Fiona, 15 – were there for the occasion, as were Harrison’s parents, the outlet reported.

Romantic: In 2020, the duo got engaged during a holiday getaway to Mazatlan, Mexico 

The magazine featured a shot of Harrison donning the diamond ring her fiance proposed with.

Facinelli was previously married to the 90210 star Garth from 2001 until their 2012 split. The pair have remained amicable in the wake of their split, going on vacation to Cancun, Mexico with their kids and partners in 2017.

Facinelli was also formerly engaged to actress Jamie Alexander for a year until their split in February of 2016; the actor was seen publicly with Harrison in September of that year.

Harrison in recent years has been seen in films including Good Deed and Breaking & Exiting, as well as the TV shows Two Guys One Truck and One Tree Hill.

Kim Kardashian and her ex-husband Kanye West put their co-parenting differences aside to come together and watch their daughter North play basketball on Friday. 

The reality TV vixen, 41, and the Donda rapper, 45, reunited at a gym facility near Thousand Oaks, California, and sat nearby each other as they watched their eldest show off her hoop skills in a league basketball game for kids.

Eyewitnesses stated that the pair ‘spoke from time to time throughout the evening and appeared cordial’ as per TMZ.

They also stated that the parents kept a low profile and did not engage in too much cheering, appearing not to want to draw any attention to themselves.

The entertainer wore her long platinum tresses parted in the middle and cascading down her shoulders.

Seated next to Kim was her publicist and friend Tracy Romulus, whom Kanye has previously blasted online for ‘manipulating’ Kim in February, amid their child custody and divorce battle.

However, things appear to be copacetic between Ye and Kim at the moment, as she took to Instagram on Sunday to wish him a Happy Father’s Day.

Kim shared a snap of her estranged third husband and their four children – North, son Saint, six, daughter Chicago, 4, and son Psalm, 3, to her Instagram Stories. 

She wrote: ‘Thank you for being the best dad to our babies and loving them the way you do! Happy Father’s Day Ye!’ 

Just a row away: The couple – who were declared legally single on March 2, 2022 – were seated just a row back from one another 

Kardashian also posted a picture of the designer with seven-year-old nephew Reign Disick on his shoulders while embracing North and Saint.

After six years of wedded bliss, the half-Armenian socialite and Ye were declared legally single on March 2, and their next status conference divorce hearing is scheduled for August 5.

Kim opened up about her failed marriage while speaking to sister Khloe Kardashian in the finale of their reality series, The Kardashians, on Wednesday night.

West has past expressed anger toward Davidson since he’s been dating Kardashian, and drew him into the drama surrounding their custody arrangement earlier this year, giving him the derisive nickname ‘SKETE.’

In February, the Grammy-winning singer shared a text message he claimed Davidson sent him in regards to his relationship with Kardashian’s kids.

The text read: ‘I’d never get in the way of your children. It’s a promise. How you guys go about raising your children is your business not mine. I do hope one I day I can meet them and we can all be friends.’

West said in a caption he subsequently deleted, ‘No, you will never meet my children.’
