Sylvie Paula Paula and Najd announced for King of Fighters 15 Season 2, Shingo gameplay and release date revealed

SNK unveiled a brand new King of Fighters 15 trailer featuring new content reveals for Season 2. Sylvia Paula Paula and Najd have been officially announced to join the game’s roster as DLC.

On top of new fighters, the first in line for Season 2 has been fully unveiled now. Shingo Yabuki gameplay and his release date have been revealed, and SNK has shared an updated content road map for the upcoming season.

SNK noted that Shingo will be the first Season 2 character to join King of Fighters 15 when it kicks off on January 17. He will launch alongside a massive character balance update.

In his official gameplay trailer, Shingo can be seen encountering his idol Kyo and having a back and forth with him. His moveset in KOF15 features several flying kicks, large haymakers, and even a spinning uppercut that resembles Kyo’s.

For the first time, SNK has also revealed how King of Fighters 15’s Season 2 DLC release will work. Instead of seeing three characters released at the same time as a team, the company will launch six additional fighters all individually.

Shingo will start the season off on January 17, Kim Kaphwan will join in Spring 2023, and both Sylvie Paula Paula and Najd will follow in Summer 2023, though it seems as though they might release separately.

To round things out, another mystery character will see a release in Autumn 2023, and the final fighter of Season 2 will launch in Winter 2023.

New King of Fighters 15 Season 2 trailer reveals new details and release windows for characters, crossplay beta and balance update

Samurai Shodown rollback beta test also coming to Steam

Back at Evo 2022, SNK gave fans a small taste of what they’re cooking up for their latest fighting games, and now there’s more details about what’s coming when.

The developers released a new trailer for The King of Fighters 15 Season 2, which reveals the launch window of their next characters, crossplay beta and balance update as well as a rollback beta dropping for Samurai shodown

As noted by the trailer, it appears we have confirmation that DLC characters in Season 2 will be releasing as individuals instead of a full team like Season 1, and the first to kick off the new year will be Shingo Yabuki in January 2023.

Along with Shingo will come a new balance update to take another swing at adjusting the game’s full roster, but that’s not all fans have to look forward to in the coming months.

Kim Kaphwan is unsurprisingly second in line for the DLC, and he’ll be presumably dropping at the same time as KOF15’s planned cross-platform beta test between PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, Windows and Epic Games Store sometime next Spring.

Samurai Shodown players are also getting a piece of the pie, as a rollback beta test is coming only to the Steam version of the game in January too although the full update will launch on PlayStation, Xbox, Steam and Epic at some point in 2023.

There’s even more characters planned for the second year of KOF15, but it sounds like we’ll probably be waiting quite a while to see who they are at this current rate.

There could be trouble brewing in David Beckham’s marriage.

Beckham’s wife, Victoria, appears to have removed a tattoo that says her husband’s initials.

She was doing a lipstick tutorial on her Instagram when fans noticed that the tattoo appeared to be gone.

Here’s the video:

Beckham had the tattoo in 2008 before she appeared to start getting it removed.

That said, she still looks like she’s wearing her wedding ring and according to TMZ, she was seen holding hands with her husband last week.

David and Victoria just recently celebrated their 23rd wedding anniversary after they got married in 1999.

TMZ, meanwhile, has updated their report, saying there’s nothing to worry about.

“A source close to the couple tells TMZ there are no marital issues between the two, Victoria’s recently had several tattoos removed from her body,” they report.

Hopefully, this is much ado about nothing, and they can continue their marriage for years down the line.

Ken, Dhalsim, Blanka, and E. Honda revealed for Street Fighter 6

During Capcom’s Tokyo Game Show 2022 live stream, Capcom announced several new playable characters for Street Fighter 6.

Ken, E. Honda, Blanka, and Dhalsim are all joining the playable roster. A new trailer featuring gameplay for all four was shown.

Capcom’s Street Fighter 6 segment kicked off with a quick teaser for Ken. In a cinematic portion of the trailer, a construction site was shown in which beams being carried by a crane hit a storage container and started to fall.

Ken appeared and kicked a falling sandbag away to save one of the workers. Following that, full-on segments revealing and showcasing Ken, Dhalsim, E. Honda, and Blanka were shown.

New stages for Dhalsim and Blanka were also revealed. Both backdrops appear to take heavy inspiration from their original Street Fighter 2 stages.

Each fighter has an updated design for Street Fighter 6. Dhalsim’s outfit and accessory on his chest have been changed, and Ken now wears a coat.

Blanka has a new hairdo in Street Fighter 6 and is now wearing overalls, while E. Honda also has a new sumo getup.

These legacy fighters appears to have several of their classic attacks back in Street Fighter 6. We see Blanka firing off Beast Balls, Dhalsim spitting Yoga Flame, Ken hitting Hurricane Kicks, and E. Honda slamming foes with his Ochio Throw.

New maneuvers were also showcased during the trailer. Blanka has the ability to bring out a small Blanka-Chan doll that he can electrocute and make move forward, allowing him to create interesting mix ups and traps.

Blanka also has a new move in his Aerial Rolling Attack, which sees him perform a Beast Ball diagonally down from the air. Here in Street Fighter 6, Blanka is now working as a tour guide in the Amazon, which explains his new outfit.

Ken has a new attack called “Jinrai Kick” that has several variations to it. He also comes equipped with a new jumping “Dragonslash Kick” that unleashes sharp kicks, and when the EX version is performed bounces the opponent off the ground and allows Ken to juggle afterward.

In Street Fighter 6, the game’s director Takayuki Nakayama describes Dhalsim as “a tricky fighter with extremely long reach” who is also a master of controlling fire. His classic headbutt dive kick makes a return here, as well as his bouncing EX Yoga Fire from Street Fighter 5.

E. Honda now fights with “incredible strength and powerful charges.” In Street Fighter 6, Honda has opened the Chanko House Edomon in Metro City where folks can watch sumo battles and eat chanko hot pot.

Everyone Has The Same Theory With Tom Brady, Gisele

TAMPA, FLORIDA – FEBRUARY 07: Tom Brady #12 of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers celebrates with Gisele Bundchen after winning Super Bowl LV at Raymond James Stadium on February 07, 2021 in Tampa, Florida. (Photo by Mike Ehrmann/Getty Images)

Tom Brady officially returned to the Buccaneers on Monday, following an extended absence away from the team.

The 45-year-old seven-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback was away from the Bucs for 11 days for “personal reasons.” Brady has yet to address why he was away, outside of shooting down the wild “Masked Singer” rumor.

Still, one popular theory is emerging with Brady and his wife, Gisele Bundchen.

Fans and reporters seem to think that when Brady was retired earlier this year, he and his wife made plans to visit the Bahamas in mid-August.

Gisele made Brady follow through with those vacation plans, fans think.

“League sources indicated that his time away from the team included a trip to the Bahamas at an exclusive resort and primarily for family time with his wife, Gisele Bündchen. His commitment to family and having a personal life was at the heart of this hiatus from football, and there was no medical emergency, as speculated, or other reasons…

A league source said that he was definitely not expected to retire again and would fulfill his commitments to his coaches and teammates,” Aaron Wilson reported.

Brady is back with his teammates now, though, just in time for the start of the regular season.

Tampa Bay opens the year against Dallas on Sunday, Sept. 11.

NASCAR World Reacts To Unfortunate William Byron News

MARTINSVILLE, VIRGINIA – APRIL 09: William Byron, driver of the #24 RaptorTough.com Chevrolet, celebrates in the Ruoff Mortgage victory lane after winning the NASCAR Cup Series Blue-Emu Maximum Pain Relief 400 at Martinsville Speedway on April 09, 2022 in Martinsville, Virginia. (Photo by Jared C. Tilton/Getty Images)

William Byron won’t have the starting position he expected in Sunday’s Go Bowling at The Glen race.

Per Bob Pockrass of FOX Sports, officials found an electrical issue in Byron’s No. 24 vehicle during a pre-race inspection. He’ll move to the rear for unapproved adjustments.

Byron was originally slated to start fourth at Watkins Glen International.

Fans were disappointed to learn the news.

The Chevrolet driver ranks 10th in the Cup Series standings ahead of the regular season’s penultimate race. Though he’s 12th in total points, wins at Atlanta and Martinsville earlier this year should secure his playoff spot.

However, Byron hasn’t finished higher than ninth — his only top-10 placement — in his last 17 races since an April 9 victory. The fourth starting position led to an 11th-place finish at Richmond Raceway last Sunday.

The race has a 3:19 p.m. ET scheduled green flag, but lightning at Watkins Glen is currently putting the start on hold.

Bridget revealed as Guilty Gear Strive Season 2’s first DLC character, launches tomorrow

Arc System Works just took to the stage at Evo 2022 to make a major announcement. The company has officially unveiled the first DLC character set to join the roster in Season 2.

Bridget will be kicking off the season, and fans will be able to get their hands on this new warrior much sooner than expected. Arc System Works surprised viewers by announcing that Bridget will become available tomorrow, August 8.

Bridget comes equipped with his classic yo-yo and utilizes it as his main tool in battle. With this toy / weapon in hand, Bridget fights using long-ranged normal attacks and rapid hitting multi-strike maneuvers.

Arc System Works shared a full gameplay trailer for the new combatant, and in it we see Bridget also fight using the aid of a large teddy bear. The companion can be seen giving opponents a large bear hug and also hopping on a motorcycle with a circle of fire around it that runs swiftly into the foe.

The official Guilty Gear Twitter account notes that Bridget is an easy-to-use, standard character that excels in long-reaching attacks and mobility. He is able to perform tricky moves using his yo-yo, and the trailer shows some of the unique walk animations that manifest as yo-yo tricks that this legacy character has in Strive.

Bridget made his playable debut on May 23, 2002 in Guilty Gear X2. This bounty hunter is often mistaken for a girl due to his appearance and how he was raised, and his look in Guilty Gear Strive looks fairly similar to past versions — albeit wearing a new outfit.

Guilty Gear Strive’s Season 2 DLC content begins with Bridget’s launch tomorrow. A newly released roadmap shows that three more characters will follow, with one more expected to release here in 2022.

The other two will drop sometime in 2023, and with each one will come a new stage. The identities of the other three DLC contenders have not yet been unveiled.

Boss character Marie is Skullgirls 2nd Encore’s next DLC fighter

The next character joining Skullgirls 2nd Encore is none other than the series’ main antagonist, Marie. This new playable fighter was revealed during the Evo 2022 Skullgirls competition.

A teaser trailer was shown after the special exhibition that features a silhouette shot of Peacock helping Marie off the ground. At the end of the quick trailer, we see “Marie Coming Soon” strewn across the screen in big letters.

Also known as “Bloody Marie,” this contender is destructive, yet shows a deep caring for the innocent. She wears a maid uniform and carries a demonic looking vacuum with skulls floating all around her.

While her boss battle sees her dishing out attacks using projectile skulls, summoned minions, and a large shadowy figure that performs melee attacks, we don’t get the chance to see any of what the playable version of Marie can do from the brief teaser.

The trailer also remains tight lipped on when we’ll be seeing Marie released, simply noting that she is “coming soon.” A release window was provided by the official Skullgirls Twitter account, though, stating that Marie is coming to Skullgirls 2nd Encore and Skullgirls mobile in 2023.

Marie acts as DLC character #4 and the final fighter for Skullgirls’ Season Pass 1. She joins Annie of the Stars, Umbrella, and Black Dahlia as the game’s latest additional fighters.

You can purchase Skullgirls Season Pass 1 on Steam right now for the discounted price of $17.49 USD.

Tasty Steve and James Chen revealed as in-game commentators for Street Fighter 6

Capcom just revealed two new in-game commentators who will be featured in Street Fighter 6: Steve “Tasty Steve” Scott and James Chen.

These two will join fellow English speaking commentator Jeremy “Vicious” Lopez as well as the game’s Japanese commentator, Aru. Check out the reveal trailer below.

This was revealed at the Evo 2022 Street Fighter 6 commentator panel Friday evening. After just a few minutes of introductions, the panel addressed the fact that there were a few empty chairs up on stage. They proceeded to roll the trailer to reveal both Chen and Scott before welcoming them both to join them.

Chen noted that this is very much in step with his long time dream of becoming a cartoon voice actor, but went on to express that this particular venture might be even better.

Here in the trailer you can hear a few of the clips we’ll be hearing while playing Street Fighter 6 (there is an option to turn off in-game commentary if you wish). And yes, you know James Chen’s trademark “Will it kill?” is most definitely included.

Time will tell if Capcom plans to add any additional commentators to Street Fighter 6 before it launches some time next year for PlayStation 4/5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S. One does have to wonder if additional languages or more Japanese commentators will be featured.

Let us know what you think of this reveal. Whose voice are you looking forward to hearing most while playing SF6?

Team Awakened Orochi trailer released for the new versions of Chris, Shermie and Yashiro in The King of Fighters 15

It’s been a minute since the next DLC team for The King of Fighters 15 was first unveiled, but now we can finally see the powered up Orochi trio in action.

SNK has released the official gameplay trailer for Orochi Chris, Orochi Shermie and Orochi Yashiro in Team Awakened Orochi.

Although they are based on already existing characters in KOF15, the new Orochi variants come packing their own unique move sets based on their boss appearances in The King of Fighters ’97.

Orochi Yashiro is the first one to come out and play in his new Heavenly Kings attire, and he trades out most of his big punches to become a grappler.

Many of his previous specials like the Museibu Daichi throw and Unaru Daichi slam are brought back along with some new tricks up his sleeve.

Orochi Shermie gains the ability to control electricity which she can emit from her strikes and kicks, and her new Climax Super sees her zap herself with purple lightning before shooting it through her foot at the opponent.

Finally, Orochi Chris can manipulate purple flame similarly to Iori, but we unfortunately don’t get to see the big god himself make an appearance using the boy as a host like some fans were hoping.

Like the previously released Team South Town, the Awakened Orochi gang will also come packing additional costumes to pick from their classic designs.

Interestingly, SNK did not provide a specific date for their release, but the next batch of DLC is apparently still on track for an August launch.

There is currently no word either on whether the new KOF update next month will include a fix for the game’s broken matchmaking system, which has been making it difficult for many players to find opponents online for months now.

You can check out the full trailer for Team Awakened Orochi below.
