Tipster leaks new iPhone 14 color
It also appears that the iPhone 14 Pro will sport a darker shade of purple than the regular models.
Another thing that has been revealed is that the iPhone 14 series will feature a new flash design. The new flash has been described as “a small circle in a big circle,” as opposed to the dual circle design seen on recent models. Whether the new flash will improve photography in any way is not known.
iPhone 14 could feature a new flash design
The Pro models are also highly likely to ditch the iconic notch for pill and hole cutouts and might be powered by the faster and more energy-efficient A16 Bionic chip, while the regular variants will continue to feature the same design and may be powered by a comparatively less powerful chipset.

Grab the Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+
Samsung’s first UDC was found in last year’s Galaxy Z Fold 3
Keep in mind that Samsung is not the first to deliver a phone using an under-display camera. Some Chinese manufacturers such as ZTE have already included this feature. For example, the ZTE Axon 20 5G was the first handset to sport a camera under the front screen back in September 2020. And ZTE followed that up by including the under-display camera on the Axon 30 5G.
Add Xiaomi’s Mi Mix 4 to the list of handsets using an UDC and if Samsung decides to employ one on next years’ Galaxy S23, the display will look something like the image shared by Ice Universe. And the tipster points out that while he doesn’t know whether a UDC is coming to the phone, “maybe if the UDC of fold4 is satisfactory, Samsung will use it for S23.”
Tipster reveals what he says is the date when the Google Pixel Watch becomes official
For those of you out there like yours truly, who returned to Android after two years using an iPhone 11 Pro Max, the big question is what device to use to replace the Apple Watch that adorned this writer’s wrist for nearly as long. But this might not be such a problem after all because the long-awaited Google Pixel Watch is expected to be released sometime this year.
Prosser says that the Google Pixel Watch will be unveiled during Google I/O
Renders of the Google Pixel Watch
Just as it does with the Pixel handsets, testing out Android features on the handset, we wouldn’t be surprised to see Google do the same for Wear OS with the Pixel Watch. While not much is known about the specs for the timepiece, the marketing images and the renders both show a round display with 2.5D glass and bezels that are not too big. There is a crown on the right side of the watch.
Google has its faith in Wear OS restored
In November 2019, Google parent Alphabet announced that it would spend $2.1 billion to buy Fitbit and said that it hoped the acquisition would help improve Wear OS. During last year’s Google I/O, Samsung and Google surprised many by teaming up to improve Wear OS to make apps open and perform faster while improving the battery life of Sammy’s smartwatches.
Tipster Jon Prosser tweets out the rumored unveiling date for the Pixel Watch
The partnership between Samsung and Google included taking the best features of Samsung’s Tizen operating system and Google’s Wear OS and combining it. As Google said in a tweet dated last May 18th, “We’re combining the best of @wearosbygoogle and @SamsungMobile Tizen into a unified wearable platform. Apps will start faster, battery life will be longer and you’ll have more choice than ever before, from devices to apps and watch faces. #GoogleIO.”
Samsung tipster reveals the big change coming to the Galaxy S22 5G’s displays
The aspect ratio on the Galaxy S22 series is rumored to drop to 19.5:9 from the previous year’s 20:9
Alleged tempered glass protectors for the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ show a shorter and wider display compared to last year’s models
The Galaxy S22 line, which includes the Galaxy S22, the Galaxy S22+, and the Galaxy S 22 Ultra, is expected to feature hole-punch front-facing selfie snappers on all three models instead of an under-display camera. Speaking about cameras, the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ could sport a 50MP primary camera with both models equipped with Samsung’s ISOCELL GN5 sensor with all-directional autofocus and big 1.0µm pixels.
This year the Exynos 2200 will feature a GPU produced by Advanced Micro Devices (AMD).
Negotiations between Verizon and Samsung are supposedly taking place. Part of the reason why Samsung might be more stingy than usual with its Exynos APs could have something to do with the global chip shortage. In addition, there have been some issues with low yield and other production problems. Samsung Foundry is the world’s second-largest independent foundry behind only TSMC which is the largest contract foundry on the planet.
The reason for Verizon’s demand could have something to do with the Exynos 2200’s use of a GPU made by AMD. The Snapdragon 898 will be using Qualcomm’s latest Adreno GPU. Last year’s Exynos 2100 SoC featured the Mali-G78 MP14 GPU designed by ARM Holdings.
