Is it COVID-19 or allergies? Utah doctor offers tips to know

SALT LAKE CITY — As spring is upon us so is the increasing pollen count.

WATCH: Doctors warn against waiting to get COVID-19 vaccine

Sneezing and watery eyes for many Utahns are on the horizon, but the question many might think is whether their symptoms are allergies or COVID-19?

“Thats an important question,” Dr. Todd Vento, infectious diseases specialist, Intermountain Healthcare said when addressing it Thursday.

Vento told FOX 13 a few symptoms you shouldn’t see with Allergies include:

  • Muscle Aches
  • Fever
  • Sometimes sore throat and shortness of breath

As for an allergy-specific symptom, sneezing isn’t heavily associated with COVID-19

But something to consider is an asymptomatic COVID-positive person who also has allergies might be prone to spreading the virus because of excessive sneezing.

“I personally don’t want to go walking around where people are sneezing with no mask on,” Vento said “With itchy, watery eyes and then they tell you it’s just allergies don’t worry; I’m not gonna feel so good.”

WATCH: U of U Health studying antidepressant as treatment for COVID-19

The best thing to do is keep wearing a mask and cover your face while sneezing because while other illnesses, such as the flu, are at record-low levels right now, allergies will still be just as bad.

Doctors say, when in doubt it’s always good just to get tested to be 100% sure.

“We don’t have the level of COVID that we did six months ago, which is great, but it’s still not gone,” said Vento. “In that situation, I would tell folks that I would consider getting tested if you’ve had an exposure with or without symptoms.”

8 of the best OxygenOS tips and tricks for OnePlus power users

OxygenOS won plaudits for remaining mostly true to stock Android but has since developed more of its own personality. That isn’t necessarily a bad thing, even if it bears a strong resemblance to Samsung’s One UI. Despite the visual transformation, OnePlus’ skin has not only retained many of its neat little features, but some of its recent iterations have also introduced new tricks to make your life a tiny bit easier.

We’ve put together a list of our favorite features that are hidden in the various nooks and crannies of OxygenOS.

Swipe up to search apps

With hundreds of apps installed on your phone, using the search bar is by far the fastest way to open the one you want, but it’s still a multiple-step process. OnePlus takes things a step further by including a quick gesture that takes you straight to the app drawer search bar. Neat!

While swiping up to open the app drawer, hold midway for a split second, and that’s it. The keyboard automatically pops up, waiting for you to start typing in the search bar at the top. It’s enabled by default and works on older OnePlus phones as well. I cannot emphasize enough how useful and time-saving this feature is.

Screen off gestures

Gestures seem to be taking over our smartphones completely now, but OnePlus has had a thing for them long before Google did. Besides its own version of full-screen navigation gestures, OxygenOS has its much-loved Screen off gestures. The basic idea is to draw single-stroke letters on your phone screen when it’s off to take a quick action, like turning on the flashlight or directly jumping to the video recording.

You can even program it to open the app of your choice, though doing that would require you to unlock the phone before the app screen pops up. Besides these, you can also assign each of the letters to open the rear or front camera straightaway. Outside these alphabetical gestures, you get the usual double tap to wake along with some unique music controls. Drawing the pause (||), forward (>), and backward (<) icons on the shut screen will let you play/pause, skip to the next track, and back to the previous one, in that order. It’s a neat way to control music playback, and it works just as well on streaming apps like Spotify as it does local players.

Head to the Buttons & gestures section of the Settings app, and then click on Quick gestures. That’s where you’ll find the entire list of these convenient and intuitive lock screen gestures.

Parallel Apps

Having two simultaneous instances of a single app isn’t something you can enable on just any phone, or at least the process to get there isn’t particularly easy. Technically, you can use the same app on different device profiles, but that’s often too much hassle for just one or two apps. OnePlus’ OxygenOS is among the handful of mobile skins that natively support the feature, and OnePlus calls its version parallel apps. People using two SIM cards could use it to have WhatsApp accounts with both their phone numbers or run two instances of an app like Uber.

Among the apps I’ve installed on my phone, several social media and communication apps are supported, including Twitter, Telegram, Skype, WhatsApp, and others. Cab hailing services like Uber and India’s Ola are also on the list, along with a local mobile wallet Paytm. The usefulness of parallel apps could vary depending on what all apps you have on your phone, but it looks like the more popular ones are supported out of the box.

To access your custom list of supported apps, you need to hit the Utilities heading inside Settings. Once there, click on Parallel Apps. Now toggle on the app you wish to duplicate, but be cautious when you turn any of them back off: it will wipe the parallel instance’s data for good.

Live Caption

Live Caption has been immensely helpful for those with hearing impediments or just about anybody on occasions when turning up the volume isn’t an option. Pixel phones pioneered the feature, but Google has since opened it up to other OEMs. OnePlus is one of the very few to have implemented it so far.

In your phone’s volume controls, you’ll find an additional button to turn on Live Caption whenever you need it. A live — and accurate — transcription of whatever is playing on your screen will appear in the center. It works across the device and even when the phone is muted. It’s one of those handy features that will make you wonder how you ever lived without it.

In landscape mode.

Quick Launch

We’ve all developed muscle memory for that one app we instinctively head for the moment we unlock our phone. You can cut down that two-step process to a single tap using Quick Launch. This feature lets you pick a small list of apps (or even app shortcuts) which you frequently use and shows them on the lock screen when you keep pressing the fingerprint reader. You can slide through the list and highlight an app, which will then open instantly.

Left & Center: Quick Launch settings, Right: Quick Launch in action

This may sound very close to Screen off gestures we discussed earlier, but Quick Launch differs in some fundamental ways. For one, the latter gets much more intricate with all your device apps and their shortcuts, letting you jump straight to an in-app function like adding a calendar entry or opening a new incognito tab in Chrome. Moreover, Quick Launch actually feels quicker than Screen off gestures, which require two presses for the same job (since the phone has to be unlocked to launch the app).

As you might’ve guessed, the feature only works on OnePlus phones with an in-display fingerprint reader, so those using older devices are out of luck. To access the option, head to Utilities in Settings and click on Quick Launch. There you can enable it and choose from a really long list of apps and shortcuts on your phone.

Quick reply in landscape

Messaging apps, in particular, have a hard time adjusting to landscape mode, with the keyboard often taking most of the vertical space. They’re basically unusable (and kind of frustrating) that way. However, OxygenOS has a tool that you can use to have a better chatting experience when someone interrupts your YouTube video.

When you hit reply on a notification banner while in landscape mode, your OnePlus phone will open the chat thread in a mini overlay on the left. A more manageable floating keyboard appears on the right, and it gets even better if you have swipe typing enabled. This feature works as expected and is something I’d like to see on other phones as well.

OnePlus users can enable it from the Utilities section of the Settings app.

Dark mode scheduling

Dark mode on older OnePlus phones followed a cumbersome process, requiring you to manually dig deep into the Settings app to get it working. Even worse, this convoluted process would even mess up your customized theme.

Thankfully, the latest version of OxygenOS has added a much-needed and far more convenient scheduling feature. You can now either set dark mode to automatically turn on after sunset or punch in your own custom schedule. If you still want some manual control, you can easily add a toggle in the quick settings menu.

This new scheduling option is available under your phone’s display settings.

Power button for Assistant and camera

Many recent phones are adopting a dedicated Assistant key — an idea first widely peddled by Samsung for its Bixby voice assistant. But within days of using the button, you’ll find that it’s more annoying than helpful with all the accidental presses. If you’re one of those oddballs who would like to have a physical key to summon the Google Assistant, you can do so on your OnePlus phone using a built-in OxygenOS feature (of note: the Assistant launches by default with the power key on the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro).

Under Buttons & gestures, you’ll find a toggle that lets you hold the power key for half a second to open the voice bot. If you turn this on, the power menu will appear on a longer three-second press (again, except on OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro devices, which just let you have one or the other). Right above this option, there’s another toggle that allows you to click the lock key twice to jump straight into the camera app. It’s possible to use both these features simultaneously.

OxygenOS is one jam-packed software skin that doesn’t fail to impress with all its fun little features. Beyond this short list of cherry-picked utilities, OxygenOS has a lot else going for it. If you think we’ve missed something that you strongly feel should’ve been on the list, let us know in the comments.

Even more goodies

Updated to include the swipe up gesture for searching apps, Live Caption, quick reply in landscape mode, and dark mode scheduling.

Tips For Playing Loop Hero

Screenshot: Devolver Digital

A lot of people have started playing Loop Hero. How do I know this? It hit 50,000 concurrent users on Steam over the weekend. I was one of them. I’ve now put over 25 hours into the deck-building roguelite, and I have some tips for everyone else who’s just getting started with it.

At its most basic level, Loop Hero plays itself. Your warrior walks around a circle fighting hordes of slimes and vampires automatically. Over time they get stronger, and if they get strong enough they’ll survive to summon the boss, beat them, and progress to the next chapter. Of course, the devil is in the details of everything you can do on top of this simple conceit, including upgrading gear, building up settlements, and choosing how to play the cards you collect over the course of each expedition. Here’s some useful advice I’ve put together based on my own experience navigating this complex gauntlet.

Prioritize certain stats for each class.

The Knight is tanky and hits slow. The Rogue is more vulnerable but carries two weapons. The Necromancer summons skeletons to fight by their side. Each requires a different strategy. I’ve found that focusing on these particular stats for each class has led more toward greater success and longer lives:

  • Knight: Regen/Vampirism
  • Rogue: Evasion/Crit Chance
  • Necromancer: Magic HP/Extra Skeletons

Survival is the name of the game, which means balancing how quickly you can kill enemies with how quickly you heal. Regen is nice because it works even when you’re not in battle, while Magic HP is how much damage the Necromancer can absorb each battle before getting hurt.

Screenshot: Devolver Digital / Kotaku

High level gear isn’t always better.

All gear in Loop Hero has a level and one of four rarities: common, blue, yellow, and orange. The higher the rarity, the more bonus stats it comes with. Simply making the numbers go up isn’t enough, though. You might get a piece of armor that’s two levels above your current one, but is the lowest rarity and so doesn’t come with any bonuses. In this case, something like 10% vampirism is better than an additional 100 HP.

The reverse can also be true, depending on the situation. In one expedition I got a higher level common ring with a 4.5 regeneration stat. I quickly traded it for the single digit buffs in my existing orange rarity ring. Plus, all armor you don’t use eventually breaks down into resources, so consider waiting instead of constantly swapping up to new gear with only marginally better stats.

Don’t just place lands down willy nilly.

Mountain cards give you more HP, and a total of 120 HP extra when arranged in a 3X3 grid. Meadows net you an extra resource when placed next to a mountain or set of rocks, making it more advantageous to mix them in rather than place them somewhere separate on the map. The bonus effects of rivers are doubled when they touch another land in two places, so be sure to arrange them in a zigzagging pattern rather than straight lines.

Screenshot: Devolver Digital / Kotaku

It’s okay not to play every card.

Like extra gear, cards you don’t use will break down into extra resources that can be used to expand and upgrade your settlement. So don’t feel like you have to play everything that gets rotated into your hand, especially if you are on an expedition to purely grind for resources. In addition, the key to success in Loop Hero is balancing the need to farm enemies for better resources and gear with being able to actually survive until the late game. A couple vampire mansions is good. Littering the map with them is not.

Know when to fold’em.

If you don’t think you’ll survive another loop, retreat to your village when you pass by. You’ll get to save everything you’ve collected that expedition. There’s a significant amount of grinding in Loop Hero, which means you’ll probably do some expeditions to farm for certain resources to get key upgrades and unlock important cards without ever intending to take on the chapter boss. Better to restart an expedition early than lose a big chunk of your haul in an untimely death. If push comes to shove you can also retreat for a smaller penalty from any other square on the map when you’re not in battle.

Telltale signs that you should retreat are when the loop has multiple squares with large groups or enemies on them, and if you haven’t gotten good gear upgrades in a while. Enemies get harder every completed loop, and if the RNG, which Loop Hero has a lot of, simply isn’t going your way, it’s better to quit while you’re ahead.

Screenshot: Devolver Digital / Kotaku

Upgrade the Smelter.

Your settlement in Loop Hero is basically your skill tree. The upgrades will carry over between expeditions and often be the determining factor in whether you survive or not. Aim to unlock the Smelter as early as possible and then upgrade it to get the arsenal. When placed, it lets you equip an additional piece of gear in a new slot that will give you another chance to boost your class’ most important stats.

Unlock watch towers.

Watch towers take a bit longer to get but are also super helpful for farming resources. They provide archers in your settlement who can attack enemies in the surrounding squares depending on how much they’re upgraded. This incentivizes playing as many monster cards as close to your settlement as possible to essentially take on the majority of your loop’s toughest fights with backup.

Screenshot: Devolver Digital / Kotaku

Get the Blade of Dawn trait.

Every time your character level’s up in a loop they get to select one of three new traits to help them for the duration of the expedition. The Knight has plenty of good ones to choose from, but Blade of Dawn has never let me down. It makes your first attack of each new day super-charged, dealing double damage to all enemies in an encounter. The days pass quickly outside of battle, and if you’ve placed enemy buildings sparingly and smartly, you can start off almost every big fight this way.

For the Rogue I always go with the Child of the Forest pet trait that has a 75% chance of spawning a companion dire wolf each fight, and for the Necromancer I really like Unseen Care which gives you permeant bonus Magic HP for each skeleton summoned. Normally I try to go with whichever trait will trigger often or provide some lasting benefit that scales nicely as the loop gets harder.

Screenshot: Devolver Digital / Kotaku

Use a Storm Temple to burn a forest.

Loop Hero is full of mysterious synergies between different buildings and land types. One of those is the Burned Forest, which you get when you place a Storm Temple and it strikes a Forest or Thicket with lightning. The burned forest grants extra magic damage, which ignores enemies’ defenses. Another good combination is the Hungry Grove, created when you place two Blood Groves next to a regular grove. It occasionally will attack you when fighting enemies next to it, but will also instantly kill any enemy that falls below 20% health, helping you take down large groups much more quickly.

Experiment with different combinations.

Different cards produce different effects and let you harvest different resources. If you’re always playing the same class doing similar loop setups you won’t get the full range of resources necessary to quickly expand your settlement, which is the real point of 90% of the expeditions you go on. Play around with different land types, enemy buildings, and placements on the map to see what happens.

Similarly, different classes are better suited to different sorts of loops. The Necromancer will do better against larger mobs, while the Rogue can deal massive critical blows that take down quest enemies (the ones that spawn by visiting villages) a lot more quickly.

Screenshot: Devolver Digital / Kotaku

Use Oblivion to nuke enemy camps.

I’ve died to goblins more times than I can count. They hit hard and fast, and often appear in groups of three or four. The Oblivion card lets you nuke any square on the map, not just the stuff you’ve built. You can use it to erase a mob of goblins, or better yet to destroy the camp that’s spawning them. The same goes for bandit camps and other enemy spawn sites that spring up automatically as you progress.

Extra Credit: You can also use an Oblivion card to destroy the last mountain or rock formation in a 3X3 mountain range. You can then replace the mountain or rock to re-trigger the formation and get additional bonus resources. You can rinse and repeat as many times as you like. (Hat tip user Jolly2Joy from the Loop Hero subreddit).

10 Tips and Tricks for Getting Started in Outbreak Mode – Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Wiki Guide

Last Edited:

From understanding the map, earning bonus points, using vehicles to your advantage to run down hordes, and even completing side activities such as the Dragon Relic, we have you covered in our complete guide to succeeding in the latest Zombies mode, Outbreak.

Quick Tips and Tricks

  • Look for the Star icon on your map as this indicates your main objective – which can be one of five possible objectives. Without completing the main objective, you will not be able to move onto the next region.
  • It’s easy to get caught off guard in Outbreak, so make full use of your available Field Upgrades. While there are a bunch of these special abilities available on offer, we found the Healing Aura Tier III – especially as you upgrade its different tiers – will be an essential ability to your team. Not only will it revive any downed teammates, but it’ll also heal you up as well.

  • Low on ammunition? Look for the bullet icons that appear on your mini-map to find ammo crates around the map.
  • Don’t be afraid to spice things up! Teams with varying loadouts have been proven to be much more successful than others that use the same weapons, loadouts, and field upgrades.

  • Don’t underestimate any straggler zombies, as more often than not, that one zombie that you chose to leave alive while you continue to explore nearby buildings or while using the likes of the Pack-a-Punch or Arsenal Machine will end up being the death of you. As these singular zombies manage to link back up with a herd, you’ll be surprised at just how easy it is to get caught off guard and quickly swarmed.

Melee Zombies During Early Difficulty Levels for Bonus Points

advertisement

Much like the standard Zombies mode, Outbreak offers additional points for meleeing Zombies; while it isn’t a massive bonus, any additional points when you’re first starting out will help you unlock upgrades faster.

Do keep in mind that knifing Zombies isn’t necessarily an effective strategy past difficulty two unless you have managed to earn enough points to justify pack-a-punching a green rarity combat knife or higher. While you will manage to one-shot most enemies with the upgrade, you’ll struggle against the Elite and Special Zombies, which become much more frequent.

Alternatively, if you have to use a weapon, try aiming for headshots as these will earn you additional points as well.

Teamwork Makes the Dream Work

Success in Outbreak all comes down to teamwork. Without communication, your team will quickly become overrun, and completing objectives will become significantly more difficult than they need to be.So, if you’re playing with a random team or even a group of friends, be sure to speak up and start making coordinated calls that include asking for help, calling loot chests, side activities, and more.

If you’re struggling to succeed with random teams when your friends aren’t online, we recommend sticking with the dedicated Outbreak solo playlist. Not only will this allow you to get some much-needed practice, but it will make your overall Outbreak experience much easier.

Loot Everything Possible

Don’t go rushing throughout the different worlds, as you’ll be heavily benefitted sticking around and looting the different areas that each map has to offer. This will become abundantly clear as you start to explore each map, as you will begin finding hidden loot chests within buildings and other random locations that contain everything from rare weapons, salvage, ammo, armor, and even consumables. While these loot chests aren’t marked on your mini-map, they can be found by listening for a jingle-like noise, followed by a childish laugh. If you’re able to hear this noise, it will indicate that a loot chest can be found somewhere nearby.

These chests come in different rarity tiers, though, so don’t be surprised if you need to a little bit of searching before you come across the rarer tier chests.

Purchase Armor As Soon As Possible

As you start opening more and more loot boxes, you’ll quickly start racking up a rather impressive collection of salvage. You will want to make full use of this scrap by purchasing armor from the Arsenal machines that can be found throughout the map.

These machines are red and grey in color and feature a standing mannequin that’s wearing armor. As you progress throughout the waves and different regions, the game will start noticeably increasing in difficulty, and armor will be a must if you plan on surviving.

Armor isn’t the only upgrade that you can purchase, as you can also purchase weapon damage, which we have found to be more powerful than Pack-a-Punching your weapons. While armor should always be your top priority, we would definitely recommend upgrading your weapon damage once you’ve got enough points to spare.

Vehicles Aren’t Just For Traveling From Point A to Point B

While vehicles such as the Sedan and Light Truck will make exploring the large maps of Outbreak just that much easier, they are also extremely useful for running down hordes of Zombies. Although they will eventually become damaged over time, finding a new vehicle for you and your team shouldn’t be too big of a hassle as we’ve found that they quite frequently spawn throughout the different maps.Additionally, if you’re to take down at least 100 Zombies with your vehicle, you’ll complete a Dark Ops challenge. If you complete all nine challenges, you’ll unlock a unique “Grey Matter” Epic Sniper Rifle Blueprint.

For more details on how to unlock each of the 9 Dark Ops Challenges in Outbreak, check out our complete guide below:

20 Essential Tips and Tricks for Getting Started in Valheim – Valheim Wiki Guide

Last Edited:

Listed below are over 20 tips and tricks that will help get you started in the latest hit survival game, Valheim. Got a tip you think we should include? Let us know in the comments below!

Quick Tips and Tricks to Get You Started in Valheim

  • It’s very much possible to die from falling trees, so once you’ve chopped it down be sure to watch as the tree falls to ensure you’re not in the line of danger.
  • Don’t be like us, as we spent many of our early hours not even knowing that splitting item stacks was a thing. To split your stack of items, simply press Shift click an item to bring up a custom menu that will allow you to split your item stacks.
  • As tempting as it may be to swim across large bodies of water, it’s important to note that swimming uses up your stamina and should you run out, you’ll begin to take damage and will eventually die from drowning.
  • There’s no easy way to train your skills, as the level will simply increase as you perform the ability.
  • Looking to take pretty screenshots? Remove the HUD by pressing Ctrl+F3.
  • Flint is one of the most important items that you’ll need during your early game experience, but where can you find it? You can find Flint by searching the edges of the various bodies of water that you’ll find throughout Valheim’s biomes. Flint is white/grey in color and takes on a rectangular shape.
  • Consider crafting a shield as they’ll play a large part in your survival as it’s easy to get swarmed by enemies.
  • If you’re looking to be successful in Valheim, you’ll need to learn how to parry your enemies correctly.
  • That being said though, don’t be afraid to retreat! As some situations can be much tougher than you initially think as more enemies arrive as backup.
  • While there’s no exact benefit to sheathing your weapon, you can carry it on your back by pressing R on your keyboard.

Start Gathering Supplies Straight Away

Gathering supplies when first starting can be a little daunting, especially when you don’t any tools, but don’t fear, you will be able to gather both wood and stone fairly easily.

To gather wood, simply punch small trees or look for fallen branches to obtain wood. To gather stone, look for small black colored rocks that can be found all across the ground.

Take Full Advantage of the Map Markers

advertisement

Never get lost again or lose track of a dungeon that you weren’t quite ready to explore!

To place map markers, simply open the world map by pressing M on your keyboard. Once you’ve opened your map, simply click one of the five different icons that can be found in the lower right corner. With the icon selected, double click the area on the map that you would like to mark to create a marker that can you then name anything that you like.

To clear a marker, simply right click in order to delete it from the map.

Tips for Building a Shelter

Coming soon!

Build a Bed and Campfire to Create a Spawn Point

Now that you’ve build the foundations to your new base, it’s time to officially call this place home by setting the base as your spawn point for when you reload the world or unfortunately meet your demise.

Thankfully, creating a a spawn point is easy as all you will need to do is simply craft a bed and a campfire. Once you’ve built and placed both of these items within your base, sleep in the bed to create a brand new spawn point.Unfortunately you can only have one spawn point at this current time, so if you’ve got multiple bases set up, be sure to pick wisely. Furthermore, the bed will also act a great way to skip the rather grueling and dark nights.

There’s No Repair Cost, So Keep Your Gear Up to Scratch

That’s right, throughout Valheim’s early access stage you will be able to repair your gear completely free of charge! Now you’ve got no excuses for ever letting your weapons sit unrepaired in fear of using up your supplies.

Take Full Advantage of the Old Buildings That You Find Across the Map

Don’t bypass those old destroyed buildings that you find throughout Valheim’s different biomes as once you’ve crafted a Hammer, simply place a Workbench nearby. Now equip your Hammer and use the middle mouse button to destroy the building, piece by piece. This is a great way to obtain resources for little to no effort at all.

Fishing Rods Exist! But They’ll Set You Back a Hefty Fee

Unlike other survival games, fishing rods can not be crafted in Valheim. Instead, you will need to visit a Merchant, who can only be found within the Black Forest biomes. For a complete guide on finding Haldor the Merchant, click here.

Increase Your Carry Weight With This Item

Need more inventory space? Well unfortunately we have some bad news, as there is currently no way to increase your inventory space. However, you can purchase the Megingjord item from Haldor the Merchant for a whooping 950 Gold Coins. This item will allow you to increase your carry weight from 300 to 450 – which is quite the increase!

Defeat the First Boss to Craft a Pickaxe

To craft a Pickaxe in Valheim, you will firstly need to acquire a series of materials that can only be obtained by defeating the very first boss in the game, Eikthyr.

Need some help summoning and defeating Eikthyr? Click the link below to find our complete boss guide for defeating Eikthyr in Valheim.

Defeating Eikthyr should be a fairly easy task, but as you can expect, taking on your first boss is pretty nerve wrecking and will require a few hours of preparation before you dive straight in. Before you tackle Eikthyr, you’ll want to ensure that you’ve crafted some leather armor, a shield, and a flint axe/knife. All of these items require the following materials: deer pelts, leather scraps, flint, stone, and wood.

Killing deer is also crucial, as you’ll require two deer heads in order to summon the powerful Stag Boss, Eikthyr.

Upon defeating Eikthyr, you will receive several pairs of Hard Antlers. These Antlers can be used to unlock the Antler Pickaxe, which can now be crafted at a Workbench of level 2 or higher.

For more details on crafting your very first Pickaxe, click the link below to visit our complete guide to obtaining a Pickaxe.

Playing Singleplayer? Consider Using These Cheats

That’s right, if you’re playing singleplayer you’ll have access to a number of neat cheats that can make your Valheim experience much easier.

To start using cheats and other general console commands in Valheim, you will need to press F5 in order to bring up the console command box.

Before you can continue delving into the world of cheats, you will need to ensure that cheats are activated by typing “imacheater“. However, it is worth noting that cheats can only be used in singleplayer and will not work on multiplayer servers.

From enabling god mode, killing all nearby enemies, teleporting, and even starting random events, we have a complete list all cheats that you can use in Valheim in our complete guide below.
