Tristan Thompson seemingly threatens Khloe Kardashian’s ex-husband Lamar Odom

Tristan Thompson seemingly threatened Khloe Kardashian’s ex-husband in the comments section of the reality star’s sultry new picture.

The drama began Friday when Kardashian, 37, took to Instagram to share a sexy snap of herself cooling off in an outdoor shower. She is seen running her hands through her hair while wearing a black bikini.

Her ex-husband Lamar Odom, 41, reacted to Kardashian’s photo in the comments section, writing “Hottie” with several flame and heart eye emojis. It appears Odom has since deleted the comment.

Thompson, 30, appeared to be bothered by Odom’s reaction and wrote a comment of his own underneath the pic that reads, “@lamarodom God brought you back the first time. Play if you want, different results.”

KHLOÉ KARDASHIAN AND TRISTAN THOMPSON BREAK UP AGAIN

Thompson, who plays for the Boston Celtics, also added a complimentary comment about Kardashian with red heart and drooling emojis.

It’s unclear if Thompson’s comment to Odom was a joke but many online were dismayed at the professional basketball player’s comment.

“He had her 1st…the nerve of you.. You have no room to talk nor threaten anyone,” one user wrote.

“Maybe if you cherished her in the first place you wouldn’t be in the comments and you’d be the one taking the pic, let that woman be happy,” added another.

“That was so uncalled for. Grow up!” another wrote.

Thompson’s jab at Odom seemingly refers to the former Los Angeles Lakers star’s near-fatal overdose in October 2015.

Kardashian was previously married to Odom from 2009 to 2016. The former couple’s marriage was documented on E!’s “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” and later in a spinoff called “Khloe and Lamar.”

Thompson is the father of Kardashian’s daughter, True, 3. The athlete has come under fire several times before for his past infidelities, notably when Kardashian was pregnant. He also was at the center of a cheating scandal involving Kylie Jenner’s best friend, Jordyn Woods.

Reports in June claimed the two had broken up after Thompson was accused of cheating again.

Reps for Thompson, Kardashian and Odom did not immediately return Fox News’ requests for comment.

Tristan Thompson spars with Lamar Odom on Khloé Kardashian’s Instagram

Gentlemen, please.

Tristan Thompson seemingly threatened Lamar Odom in the comments section of their mutual ex Khloé Kardashian’s Instagram.

The trouble in paradise started when Odom, 41, commented “Hottie” and a string of emoji under a snap of Kardashian, 37, performing her ablutions in an outdoor shower.

Thompson, 30, took issue with that, writing, “God brought you back the first time. Play if you want, different results.” He followed it up with a more restrained “❤️❤️🤤🤤” in a separate comment.

Now, far be it from Page Six — for legal reasons — to suggest that Thompson was threatening Odom, per se, but the jibe seems a likely reference to Odom’s near-fatal overdose at the Las Vegas-area Love Ranch brothel in October 2015.

Odom later appeared to delete his comment on the post, which Khloé’s sister Kim and a number of other celebs — including Shanina Shaik, whose sister Irina was recently linked to Kim’s ex, Kanye West — commented on.

Page Six exclusively reported in June that Khloé and Boston Celtics baller Thompson, who are parents to 3-year-old daughter True, broke up after their on-and-off relationship was persistently dogged by rumors of his infidelity. Since then, Thompson has been all over Kardashian’s social media accounts, to the delight of the internet commentariat.

Kardashian and Odom were married from 2009 to 2016 and starred in a “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” spin-off named after themselves. They finalized their divorce after he recovered from his overdose.

While Thompson is the younger man, Odom did recently defeat no less an illustrious opponent than — *checks notes* — Aaron Carter in a celebrity boxing match, so lay your bets, folks.

Khloé Kardashian Is ‘Focused on a Healthy Family’ for True After Tristan Thompson Split: Source

In the wake of her split from Tristan Thompson, Khloé Kardashian is focusing on the positive as the exes continue to co-parent.

“Khloé is doing okay. True will always be her first priority and ultimately she’s focused on a healthy family for her daughter, so Tristan will always be a part of Khloé’s life,” a source tells PEOPLE about the Keeping Up with the Kardashians alum, who shares 3-year-old daughter True with Thompson.

“She’s not one to dwell on the past — she has an incredible capacity to find the positive in every situation. And she and Tristan are still very much in touch and are great co-parents to True,” says the source.

Last month, PEOPLE confirmed that the Good American co-founder, 37, and Boston Celtics player, 30, had called it quits once again.

According to TMZ and the New York Post‘s Page Six, which first reported the split, the pair parted ways a few weeks prior, after Instagram model Sydney Chase claimed in April that she slept with Thompson in the fall while he was with Kardashian. (Thompson’s lawyer denied the allegations at the time, according to TMZ.)

The news of the breakup also came on the heels of a Daily Mail report that Thompson was seen partying with multiple women in Los Angeles in June.

Though the exes are no longer together, Thompson is continuing to pursue Kardashian with the hopes that they will reconcile.

“Tristan’s still trying to get Khloé back. He hasn’t given up and he doesn’t think the door is closed,” a second source tells PEOPLE about the NBA player.

“She’s unfortunately someone who wants to always try and see the best in him,” adds the second source.

Kardashian and Thompson’s relationship was first revealed to the public in September 2016, and Thompson made his debut on KUWTK when season 13 premiered in March 2017. Six months later, PEOPLE confirmed the two were expecting a child together, daughter True, who was born in April 2018. (Thompson is also dad to 4-year-old son Prince, whom he shares with ex Jordan Craig.)

They’ve weathered their fair share of drama in the public eye, starting in 2018, just days before Kardashian gave birth, when news broke that Thompson had been unfaithful during her pregnancy. They spent the summer rebuilding their relationship, but in February 2019, they split again after reports surfaced that he had hooked up with Kylie Jenner’s longtime best friend, Jordyn Woods. (Woods adamantly denied that they had sex but said they kissed after a long night of drinking.)

In June 2020, sources confirmed to PEOPLE that the two were back on, and they spent most of the COVID-19 pandemic together in L.A. with their daughter.

During part two of the KUWTK reunion, which was filmed in April and aired in June, Kardashian spoke at length about their reconciled relationship and Thompson’s cheating scandals.

“I just have to trust … I just need to focus on today and go day by day. I can’t worry too much about everything else,” she said. “I know the growth and all the work that he’s done, I know all of the help that he’s gotten and the constant efforts that he makes every single day and how hard he fought to get back with me currently. I mean, you can ask everyone, it really wasn’t an easy thing for him. I don’t understand why someone would go through all that if they weren’t serious.”

Khloe Kardashian once again sparked speculation she’s engaged as she posted a snap of her massive diamond ring on her wedding finger on Instagram on Thursday.

The KUWTK star, 30, flashed her hands in the air, with her on-off partner Tristan Thompson, 30, adding more fuel to the fire.

The Boston Celtics player left a flirty comment under the mother-of-one’s image as he inserted a selection of heart-themed emojis.

She shared a snap of her newly colorful manicured nails prominently featuring the much-talked-about piece of jewelry.

Without missing a beat Tristan commented the image with a series of emojis that are sure to send tongues wagging including two eyes, two heart eyes, and one large diamond emojis.

Khloe certainly has been showing the ring off a lot lately as just days ago she had it heavily featured in her latest Good American advert campaign.

Family first: Khloe and Tristan seen with their daughter True

Her curves and that massive ring on her left finger were shown despite the reality star previously trying   to fend off rumors she and on-off beau Tristan Thompson were romantic when she was first spotted with the sparkler around December.

On Saturday she took to the GA Instagram to share another snap from her sizzling bikini shoot, after revealing that she and Thompson are in the process of planning for more children together.

She chose to caption the image ‘Sparkle and SHINE’ — a nod to the shimmery cover up that hugged her peachy backside and the pear shaped diamond on her left finger.

Sparkling: Khloe certainly has been showing the ring off a lot lately as just days ago she had it heavily featured in her latest Good American advert campaign.

Underneath she had taken to Instagram to show off a silver bikini from her size-inclusive line as the brand gears up for the summer months.

This final season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians has focused much on her relationship with the Boston Celtics player thus far.

In the first two episodes she gets candid about making embryos with the 30-year-old NBA player, after revealing her eggs were too delicate to survive the egg-freezing process.

Doctors had tried another approach to give Khloe the large family she’s always dreamt of, opting to retrieve eggs from IVF and mixing them with Tristan’s sperm immediately.

From the procedure she revealed she had three embryos — one girl and two boys — Khloe sharing with her siblings that she wanted to give daughter True, two, a sister first. She also spoke about the possibility of using a surrogate.

On the second episode of KUWTK she put Scott Disick, 37, on blast for igniting rumors she and Thompson were back when he commented: ‘Tristan is a lucky man’ on one of her posts.

Their fractured relationship had been a source of contention for the reality star after he was found to have cheated on her throughout the course of their partnership, most recently with Kylie Jenner’s former BFF Jordyn Woods who said they shared a kiss.

Igniting rumors: This week’s episode revealed Khloe’s anger with Disick for igniting rumors via Instagram that she and Tristan were back on

Stirring the pot: The prankster revealed he loves to stir things up, commenting that Tristan was a ‘lucky man’ on one of her posts over the summer

Thompson was understandably hurt by Khloe’s resistance to the cheeky comment left by Scott as he spoke about feeling like he was some ‘big secret.’

Throughout quarantine they had been working on their relationship and co-parenting True under one roof.

She seemed to confirm that things were moving forward in a good direction in mid-March when she penned a gushing tribute to him on his 30th birthday.

‘The ones that are meant to be are the ones who go through everything that is designed to tear them apart and they come out even stronger than they were before.

THAT ring: In a flashback post Khloe shared on Friday she flashed the giant sparkler on her left finger but mom Kris chalked it up to her ‘loving’ a good ring

‘Thank you for showing me everything you said you would…I’m thankful that I can do absolutely nothing with you and it feels like everything,’ she wrote adding that he was loved by her.

The pair have now sold their former Cleveland pad which he purchased in 2015 when he was playing for the Cavaliers.

As he now resides in Boston per his new NBA contract, it has been said that Khloe is looking at houses to be close to him.

With regards to the prominent sparkler on her left finger, mom Kris Jenner tried to be mum on the matter in conversation with Ellen DeGeneres this week as she said:  ‘I think she just loves jewelry. She loves a good ring. You should ask Khloe that.’

James Wiseman, Dubs’ young talent is secret sauce to winning without Klay Thompson

The Golden State Warriors snapped a four-game losing streak with a massive win against the Utah Jazz, the team with the NBA’s best record this 2020-21. Although Draymond Green registered his 26th triple-double and Stephen Curry poured in 32 points, it was rookie James Wiseman and young prospects Jordan Poole and Nico Mannion who kept the Dubs in position to finish the game.

The youngsters recorded 39 of the Warriors’ bench points in the win.

After the game, Green spoke highly about the improvement of Poole.

“You have to give him a lot of credit. He is in this gym every day with (Player Development Coach) Luke (Loucks), (Assistant Coach/Director of Player Development), CD (Chris DeMarco), and those guys getting his work in. He went down to G League, and (Head Coach) Kris Weems held him accountable. I think that he took a few steps forward, not just offensively but overall as a player down there under Kris Weems’ tutelage,” Green said of the Warriors youngster.

“It is showing as he has come back up here. I think that it has been three or four games now. It is showing in his play. You have to give that kid a lot of credit. I’m not sure if anyone on our team is in the gym more than him. It feels good when you see guys like that get rewarded.”

For his part, Wiseman has shown flashes of how great he can be, but just like Golden State as a whole, the rookie has been inconsistent throughout his first year in the pros. In a matchup where he was guarded by one of the NBA’s best centers, he had maybe his best game of the season. Coach Steve Kerr was pleased with Wiseman and the other young players who had productive games.

“The idea is that James is a scorer. He scores the ball pretty easily if he gets it in the right positions, and Jordan and Nico are both capable of getting him the ball in those spots, so we think the three of them make a good group together. If Jordan or Nico are able to knock down shots and James is that threat on the pick-and-roll, then we can develop an offensive identity with that group, and that’s the idea,” Kerr explained.

“I like their competitiveness, too. All three guys really want to be out there. They want to compete and win. This is all part of what we are trying to do this year. I’ve said it many times, we are trying to win games, and we are trying to develop young guys, and we are trying to do it all at once. Tonight, we were able to thread that needle, so let’s hope we can continue to do this.”

Nico Mannion, Jordan Poole making the most of their Warriors’ opportunity

Mannion and Poole spent most of the season down in the NBA G-League. Since being called up, both players have been key pieces in the second unit. They make mistakes, but neither player is shying away from the competition.

On Sunday inChase Center, they put together their best performance together as a member of the Warriors. Kerr recognized the productivity with the two combined with Wiseman.

“I thought all three guys were great. We’re kind of throwing them into the deep end a little bit, but we love their talent and their potential, and we also really like the way they play together. They fit well together because of James’ threat as a dive-man, and both Jordan and Nico are good pick-and-roll players, and Jordan and Nico really have developed a good synergy over the course of the season. They are good friends, and they went to Orlando and played really well together. I realize putting all three of them out there with that second group is putting a lot on their shoulders, but there is a reason why we are doing it. We believe in those guys.”

Golden State came into the game struggling to find a productive second unit, and so the Jazz–led by All-Stars Donavan Mitchell, Rudy Gobert, and Mile Conley–were expected to dominate from the get-go. Instead, however, the Dubs saw a glimpse of their bright future with the trio of youngsters leading the way.

“I think we have a lot of potential. We’re extremely gifted and talented, and as soon as we’re able to gain chemistry, all five guys, and catch a little bit of rhythm like we did later in the second quarter and in the fourth quarter today, I think we’re dangerous” Poole said postgame.

The Dubs recorded 33 assists in the win against the Jazz, and the bench scored 51 points led by Poole (18) and Wiseman (16). They face LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers next as they look to go 2-0 in back-to-back home games.

Mississippi Rep. Bennie Thompson explains why he was only Dem to vote against massive HR 1 election bill

Democratic Rep. Bennie Thompsom’s lone “no” vote against H.R. 1, the massive voting rights and election reform legislation, was no accident.

Thompson, of Mississippi, joined with all Republicans late Wednesday to vote against the House Democrats’ top legislative priority, known as the For the People Act of 2021.

Thompson’s vote was surprising since he was a co-sponsor of the legislation along with the rest of the Democratic caucus. But Thompson said Thursday his constituents weren’t supportive of the election overhaul, so he stood with them rather than his colleagues.

HOUSE DEMOCRATS PASS EXTENSIVE VOTING AND CAMPAIGN FINANCE REFORM BILL, H.R. 1

“My constituents opposed the redistricting portion of the bill as well as the section on public finances,” Thompson said in a statement to Fox News. “I always listen and vote in the interest of my constituents.”

The legislation requires states to establish independent redistricting commissions to carry out the once-a-decade redrawing of congressional districts in an effort to avoid partisan gerrymandering. The bill also establishes a new public financing system for congressional and presidential elections to incentivize small-dollar donations.

HOUSE DEMOCRATS’ H.R. 1 WOULD CREATE NEW PUBLIC FINANCING OF CONGRESSIONAL CAMPAIGNS

The legislation would create a 6:1 match for each grassroots contribution to a candidate up to $200. For example, a $200 donation to a House candidate would garner a $1,200 match in public funds for a total contribution of $1,400.

The public match program would be funded by a new 4.75% surcharge on criminal and civil penalties and settlements that corporations pay to the U.S. government. The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office estimated this week the new revenue stream would generate about $3.2 billion over 10 years.

Rep. Bennie Thompson, D-Miss.

The election legislation passed by a vote of 220 to 210. No Republicans joined with Democrats in approving the sweeping voter rights reform that now heads to the Senate.

Numbered H.R. 1 to signify it is the top priority of House Democrats, the legislation would also enact automatic voter registration, restore voting rights to felons after they have completed their sentences and expand early voting access and absentee voting.

REP. BENNIE THOMPSON FILES CIVIL LAWSUIT AGAINST TRUMP FOR JAN. 6 RIOT: ‘WE MUST HOLD HIM ACCOUNTABLE’

It also prohibits voter roll purges and partisan gerrymandering of congressional districts, imposes new campaign finance rules, and requires presidential nominees to release 10 years of tax returns.

H.R. 1 would also take aim at big-dollar donors and dark money in politics by requiring additional disclosure of campaign donors and disclaimers on political advertising.

The legislation now heads to the Senate where it has a tough road for passage as the chamber is split 50-50 between Democrats and Republicans. The legislation would require 60 votes to advance and needs GOP support.

Tristan Thompson Had Message For Celtics After Blown Lead

The Boston Celtics held a 25-point lead heading into the fourth quarter against the Atlanta Hawks on Friday at TD Garden.

And while the Celtics didn’t blow the game, earning a 121-109 win, that lead was cut to merely nine points with 3:40 left. It certainly wasn’t a resounding ending to a contest the Celtics dominated during the first half, and maintained in the third quarter.

Celtics big man Tristan Thompson, for one, wasn’t all too thrilled with how it played out. And Thompson had a message for the team after the game.

“So, for me, like I said to the guys tonight — it’s a good win, but we’re up 20, 22 points we got to close it out,” Thompson told reporters after the game. “Those minutes, the last six minutes, those minutes are supposed to be dedicated to Tremont Waters, Aaron (Nesmith), Tacko Fall, Carsen Edwards. Those last six minutes are supposed to be for those young guys.

“It’s our bad and it’s selfish on our part with the first and second unit that we didn’t stomp on their (Hawks) necks and let them bleed out to death because those guys deserve to go out there and get some minutes,” Thompson continued. “They come in every day and they work hard and they watch us and support us from the bench. It’s only right that when we’re up like that we take care of business so they go out there and play and we cheer them on.”

Thompson played a valuable role in Friday’s win over the Hawks as he and Daniel Theis controlled the paint with their high-low connection.

Thompson, who is playing his first year in Boston, finished with 17 points on 8-for-9 from the field. He added five rebounds, three assists and one block, as well.

Tessa Thompson says at Sundance ‘Passing’ role terrified her

CLOSE

USA TODAY’s Brian Truitt, Kelly Lawler and Patrick Ryan break down their lists of the best music, movies and TV shows to come out in 2020.

USA TODAY

“We’re all of us passing for something or other. Aren’t we?”

This question – something Irene (Tessa Thompson) asks on the side of a dance floor – will haunt you during and well after Rebecca Hall’s directorial debut, “Passing,” which premiered Saturday night at Sundance Film Festival.

The black-and-white film (more on that choice later) stars the aforementioned Thompson and Ruth Negga as Clare, two childhood friends who run into each other as adults in 1920s New York. The pair quickly realize they’ve come to live very different lives. While both are Black women, Clare has opted to “pass” as white; Clare’s husband John (Alexander Skarsgård) doesn’t even know the truth and thinks Irene is white as well when they meet.

This chance encounter forces each to confront the choices they’ve made and the lives they lead or could lead. Clare’s sudden reemergence in Irene’s life, in particular, begins to unravel her seemingly happy life with husband Brian (Andre Holland).

“She’s in denial about so many aspects of herself, that it’s causing her to implode,” Hall said during a live Q&A after the film’s premiere.

Must-read: All the best movies we saw at Sundance Film Festival, ranked (including Edgar Wright’s ‘Sparks Brothers’)

For Thompson, the role “eluded me every day and terrified me every day.” there were moments on set she felt “unsettled by the fact that people would see it.”

“That has a great deal to do with the environment of intimacy that (Hall) provided us because I know in my headiest moments, if anyone were to see me, spiraling in my thoughts, I would feel really exposed,” Thompson added. “And I think the beauty of getting to make these things, the beauty that you capture, it is you get to go to those places.”

“Passing” is based on a novel of the same name by Nella Larsen – one that someone gave to Hall years ago just when she needed it.

“Someone happened to hand it to me at a very precise moment in my life when I was asking more questions, thinking more deeply about some of the unresolved mysterious aspects of my mother’s family’s history,” Hall said. Her mother’s father was almost certainly African-American but white-passing, she says. His parents could have been white-passing, too.

The book “gave me some historical context for the choices that my grandfather made, and possibly those before him,” she said.

She had a strong sense of how she wanted it to be made more than a decade ago and wrote a screenplay, then let it incubate for a long time before eventually showing to people in her life.

“I had a strong feeling that it needed to be black and white, pretty much from the first adaptation that was 13 years ago,” Hall said.

She added: “It wasn’t just a stylistic choice. I felt that it was a conceptual choice to make a film in part about colorism that drains the color out of it, and asks you to look at it as an obstruction, as something that is symbolic.”

We immediately put people into categorizations, she says, which become important but in some sense are absurd. Case in point: This black-and-white film isn’t actually black and white, but gray.

More from Sundance: Halle Berry says Zendaya is ‘proof positive’ that things are changing in Hollywood

“This is a story of nuance and gray areas and ambiguity, and it asks you to hold one thing and its opposite at the same time, all the time,” she said.

Negga read the book several years ago. “I just was so drawn to the relationship between these two women, and what compelled them towards each other, and why they were drawn to one another,” she said. “And it’s a really fascinating analysis really, of friendship.”

“It’s quite rare that you see all those complexities and nuances in female friendship, and, of course, I was crushed by the psychological cost of feeling you have to make a decision to sever yourself from your community, and essentially from oneself in order in order to survive,” she added.

Hall implied – and audiences will surely pick up on – a relationship beyond friendship in the film.

“They’re sort of defining the terms all the time,” Hall said. “I think of it as a love story. Yes, it is a very complex friendship, and it is deeply, but there’s also this sort of undercurrent of something very potent and erotic frankly, but it’s quiet, and it’s not realized. And it’s suppressed and oppressed by the grander scheme of the world that they’re living in.”
