Ashton Kutcher publicly apologises to Harry Styles after awkward encounter at a karaoke party
Ashton Kutcher has publicly apologised to hitmaker Harry Styles for an extremely awkward encounter at a mutual friend’s karaoke party.
The actor, 44, admitted he had no idea who the former One Direction singer was when they first met which led to him making some embarrassing remarks.
Ashton revealed in an interview with Esquire that he and actress wife Mila Kunis attended their neighbour’s lavish party when the awkward run-in happened.
He explained that he had been left in awe after seeing a partygoer perform ABBA and felt compelled to go and compliment the performance.
As it turned out the performer was Harry, 29, with Ashton being none the wiser.

Ashton recalled: ‘I said “Man, I gotta tell you something. You’re like a karaoke ringer. You’re really good, like, really good.”‘
To which the singer humbly replied his thanks, saying he ‘appreciated’ the compliment.
To Ashton’s horror, his friend then informed him that it was a famous singer, with his wife Mila having to explain that Harry was in fact a big name in the music world and part of One Direction.
Ashton recalled: ‘I was like, “Oh my God, now I feel like a jerk,” . He’s a professional singer, and we’re trying to tell him he’s a good singer!’
He went on to issue a public apology via the magazine, saying: ‘I just really want to say I’m sorry, Harry Styles. But you’re really good at karaoke, man. Seriously, like really good.’
It comes after Harry was officially added to the growing roster of performers at the 2023 Grammy Awards, due to be held on February 5.
The As It Was hitmaker is nominated for an incredible six awards for his record-breaking album Harry’s House, which was released in May 2022.
Harry’s House is the former One Direction member’s third solo studio album since the boyband went on a ‘permanent hiatus’ in August 2015.

The Don’t Worry Darling actor had the second-largest opening week for an album in 2022, behind Taylor Swift’s Midnights.
He also had four songs from the album on the US Billboard Hot 100 Chart, which makes him the first British solo artist to achieve this, and among all British acts, he joined The Beatles, who achieved the feat in 1964.
As It Was sat at number one on the Billboard charts for 15 consecutive weeks, becoming the longest-running US number one by a UK act and the fourth longest-running number-one in the chart’s history.

Harry previously performed at the 2021 Grammys, where he donned a jaw-dropping all-leather outfit, complete with no shirt.
At the 2021 Grammy Awards, the Watermelon Sugar crooner was nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album – Fine Line, Best Music Video – Adore You, and Best Pop Solo Performance – Watermelon Sugar, which he took home the award for.
For the 2023 Grammys, he is nominated for the three most coveted awards Album Of The Year, Record Of The Year, and Song Of The Year.
He’s also nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Pop Solo Performance, and Best Music Video.

A few months prior in December 2017, a source had told In Touch Weekly that Bowen and Phillips had been trying to ‘keep it together for their sons’, but their relationship was ‘holding on by a thread’.

Match stopped after AJ Styles suffers apparent injury at WWE house show
Well, this doesn’t look good at all.
During WWE’s house show tonight (Dec. 29) in Hershey, Pennsylvania, AJ Styles teamed up with Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson to take on The Judgment Day in a six man tag team match. Based on fan accounts on site, Styles appears to have injured his left leg or ankle after doing a spot over the top rope to the floor outside.
The match was stopped and Styles remained sitting down while WWE officials checked him out. He was eventually helped up and walked to the back with assistance from multiple people.
It looked like WWE was moving Styles and his stablemates in The O.C. in a new direction following an extended TV feud with The Judgment Day. Whatever plans WWE had for the group heading into Royal Rumble 2023 will likely be put on hold if Styles is forced to miss an extended period of time due to injury.

Harry Styles and Gucci called out for ‘sick’ ad campaign after Balenciaga controversy
Harry Styles, and luxury fashion brand Gucci, are taking heat for an ad campaign featuring Styles wearing a t-shirt with a teddy bear on it in front of what some are alleging is a toddler bed.
Critics of the campaign are drawing similarities to a recent controversial Balenciagia ad, which featured toddlers with teddy bears in bondage. Both Gucci and Balenciagia are owned by the same parent company, Kering Group.
“A performance piece starring #HarryStyles and the #GucciHAHAHA collection,” the brand tweeted.
Harry Styles often gets conversational during his concerts with fans, and was met with sheer excitement when he addressed “spit-gate.”

Critics immediately drew a connection between the Gucci ad, and the controversial Balenciaga campaign.
“@gucci Why would you create a ‘performance piece’ with a toddler’s mattress and an adult man?” Alexandra Gucci Zarini, activist and heiress of the Gucci family, posted on Instagram. “My concerns are that there seems to be a common ideology across Kering’s Fashion Houses.”
“Gucci are having Harry Styles pose alongside a child’s mattress with a pink teddy bear shirt. Why are all fashion brand ad makers sick creeps?” tweeted political commentator Sophie Cochran.
“Why does #gucci have Harry Styles, a grown man posing with a child’s mattress and a pink teddy bear t shirt? Im not loving this,” tweeted Scottish TV personality and author Gillian McKeith.
“Are you kidding me? A grown man with a toddler mattress?!” Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Katrina Scott commented on Gucci’s Instagram post of the ad. “What is going on with these brands?!”

Balenciagia came under fire earlier this month for two separate ad campaigns. One depicted children alongside teddy bears in bondage, and another included legal documents referencing a Supreme Court case about child pornography.
While Balenciaga apologized for the ad campaigns at the time, both Gucci and parent company Kering remained silent.
