AMD Ryzen 7900/7700/7600 CPU pricing and specifications have been confirmed

AMD Ryzen 7000 non-X starts at $229

Pricing for Ryzen 7000 non-X CPUs has now been confirmed.

The rumors about potential Ryzen 7000 pricing were indeed correct. Slides from the embargoed presentation shows the pricing and specs for the upcoming Ryzen 7000 series which are set to launch next year. Those CPUs are the so-called 7000 non-X series operating with a base TDP of 65W.

AMD Ryzen 7000 non-X Specifications and Pricing, Source: VideoCardz

AMD is preparing three SKUs: Ryzen 9 7900, Ryzen 7 7 7700 and Ryzen 5 7600. Starting with Ryzen 9 7900, this is a new 12-core CPU featuring boost clock up to 5.4 GHz. The base clock is reportedly 3.7 GHz, which means exactly 1.0 GHz lower than 7900X. According to the slide, this CPU would cost $429, and it would compete with Intel Core i9-13900 and i9-12900 CPUs. What is important to note is that the former is not released yet.

The 8-core Ryzen 7 7700 non-X has a base clock of 3.8 GHz and boost of 5.3 GHz. That’s 700 MHz lower base and just 100 MHz lower maximum frequency compared to the 7700X model. This processor would compete with Core i7-13700 and i7-12700K from Intel with a price tag of $329.

Finally, the 6-core Ryzen 5 7600 non-X gets a boost clock up to 5.1 GHz and 3.8 GHz base (0.9 GHz slower than 7600X). This CPU would sell at $229, and it would compete with Core i5-13600 and i5-12600 processors.

Since AM4 coolers are officially compatible with the new AM5 socket, existing coolers designed and sold by AMD are compatible with the new Ryzen 7000 series as well. The 65W CPUs will be bundled with the said coolers, which are called Wraith Prism and Wraith Stealth. The former will be added to Ryzen 9 7900 and Ryzen 7 7700 CPUs, while the latter will be bundled with Ryzen 5 7600.

Given the recent price cut for Ryzen 7000 series, it may be very hard for AMD to sell these non-X SKUs at those suggested prices. It looks like for just $20-30 more gamers can choose 170/105W models instead.

The full embargo on Ryzen 7000 non-X series lifts on January 9th, which should be either the review date or actual launch date. However, AMD will announce these CPUs at CES 2023 conference a few days sooner.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra specifications are now completely confirmed

We are still a couple of months away from the launch of the Galaxy S23 series. However, the specifications of Samsung’s upcoming flagship smartphone have been revealed as the device recently received the necessary TENAA certification. This certification reveals details about the phone’s display, processor, cameras, and battery capacity.

As per TENAA’s certification documents, the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s (SM-G9180) display measures 6.8 inches diagonally and has a QHD+ resolution (3,088×1,440 pixels). The device has 4G LTE and 5G connectivity. Its octa-core processor has three CPU clusters, with one cluster running at 3.36GHz, and the other two running at 2.8GHz and 2GHz, respectively. It is like the faster Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (AC version) with a higher clock speed than the vanilla Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (AB version). The smartphone has 8GB/12GB RAM and 256GB/512GB/1TB storage.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra has four rear cameras: a 200MP primary, a 12MP ultrawide, a 10MP 3x telephoto, and a 10MP telephoto with 10x optical zoom. However, the certification documents claim that it has 12MP telephoto cameras, likely because Samsung upscales images from its 10MP sensors to 12MP resolution for consistency.

The document also reveals that Samsung’s upcoming high-end phone has Bluetooth, USB, gyrosensor, proximity sensor, light sensor, under-display fingerprint reader, and face recognition. It measures 163.4×78.1×8.9mm and weighs 233g. It also features a 4,855mAh battery, which will be marketed as a 5,000mAh battery.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti “Alleged” Specifications Leaked

Alleged specifications of NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 4070 Ti graphics card have been revealed and it may just match the RTX 3090 Ti in performance.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Allegedly Features 7680 Cores, 12 GB GDDR6X Memory & RTX 3090 Ti Performance

According to leaker Kopite7kimi, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti might end up being a beast of a card, offering performance that matches the GeForce RTX 4090 Ti, the existing flagship. The leaker reported on some new specifications and it looks like the 4070 series will be benefiting from much higher power limits than their predecessors.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 ‘Expected’ Specifications

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti is expected to utilize the full-fat AD104 GPU core with 7680 cores or 60 SM units. From previous leaks, we also know that the AD104 GPU will come packed with 48 MB of L2 cache and up to 160 ROPs which is simply insane. That’s a 25% increase in core count and a 12x increase in cache versus the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti which rocks the GA104 GPU core.

The clock speeds are not confirmed yet but considering that the TSMC 4N process is being used, we are expecting clocks between the 2.0-3.0 GHz range. The higher than usual clock speed bump comes from the fact that NVIDIA is making a two-node jump considering the Ampere GPUs with Samsung 8nm node was in reality a 10nm process node with some optimizations. NVIDIA is skipping 7nm and going straight for a 5nm node and not even the vanilla variant but an optimized version of it. With Pascal on the TSMC 16nm node, NVIDIA delivered a huge frequency leap and we can expect a similar jump this time around too.

As for memory specs, the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti is expected to rock 12 GB GDDR6X capacities that are said to be clocked at 21 Gbps speeds across a 192-bit bus interface for 504 GB/s bandwidth. While the RTX 4070 is expected to rock a TBP of 300W the RTX 4070 Ti can end up with a power limit as high as 400W. Now, this could be the power limit for custom designs with the Founders Edition roaming around the 325-350W power limit. The graphics card is expected to be based on the PG141-SKU331 PCB design.

As for its feature set, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti graphics cards would rock all the modern NV feature sets such as the latest 4th Gen Tensor Cores, 3rd gen RT cores, and the latest NVENC Encoder, and NVCDEC Decoder, and support for the latest APIs. They will pack all the modern RTX features such as DLSS, Reflex, Broadcast, Resizable-BAR, Freestyle, Ansel, Highlights, Shadowplay, and G-SYNC support too. Performance is said to easily match an RTX 3090 Ti which is a $1999 US card (MSRP). So we may be looking at that kind of performance on a $599-$649 US graphics card.

God of War PC system specifications will require an RTX 3080 for ultra

The PlayStation 4 classic God of War (2018) is finally making its way to Windows PC early next year, and a new trailer reveals some of the improvements players can expect from the new version of the game. Along with the upgrades, Sony announced the system requirements for the game as well as support for both Nvidia DLSS and Nvidia Reflex.

God of War is designed for smooth 60-frames-per-second play at 4K resolution, according to the trailer. It will also feature higher-resolution shadows and more detailed screen-space reflections. But the biggest boosts in performance will likely come from Nvidia’s AI-driven DLSS technology, which helps boost visual fidelity while minimizing impact on the game’s performance, helping make God of War PC a smoother and better-feeling version of the game.

Nvidia DLSS is available on any of the company’s Geforce RTX graphics cards, but you won’t need one to play the game in general. The minimum recommended specifications for the game only call for a GTX 960, but with a GPU like that, you’d be limited to 720p and be playing at around 30 fps. Meanwhile, to reach ultra settings at 4K and 60 fps, you’ll need to invest in a RTX 3080. Sony also recommends installing the game to a solid-state drive, which is true of almost all modern PC games.

God of War will be available on PC via the Epic Games Store and Steam starting on Jan. 14, 2022. Players who purchase the PC version of the game will get this extra content as well:

  • Death’s Vow Armor Sets for Kratos and Atreus
  • Exile’s Guardian Shield Skin
  • Buckler of the Forge Shield Skin
  • Shining Elven Soul Shield Skin
  • Dökkenshieldr Shield Skin

Samsung S Pen Pro specifications leak ahead of launch

The Galaxy S21 Ultra’s S Pen accessory lacks Bluetooth LE connectivity, which means that it lacks some features compared to the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra’s S Pen. During the Galaxy S21 Ultra’s launch, Samsung had also revealed that it is working on the S Pen Pro, which is bigger and features Bluetooth connectivity. However, the company had not revealed its full feature set. Now, some of its specifications have been revealed.

According to tipster Chun (@chunvn8888 on Twitter), the S Pen Pro features a 0.7mm tip, and it can sense 4,096 levels of pressure. Apparently, it can also be used with the Galaxy Z Fold 3 without damaging its foldable display. The special stylus is said to feature a USB Type-C port for charging. It can also be magnetically attached to some cases on the back of compatible Galaxy smartphones (similar to the Galaxy Tab S7’s S Pen). It is being rumored that the S Pen Pro will be priced around £70 (most probably without the case) in the UK.

Samsung has already revealed that it has created a special S Pen for the Galaxy Z Fold 3. However, it is not clear as to how it would be different than the S Pen Pro. We should get more information about both upcoming styli on August 11, 2021, when the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and the Galaxy Z Fold 3 would be officially unveiled.

Since the South Korean firm has confirmed that it won’t launch a new Galaxy Note device this year, if someone wants a brand new smartphone with S Pen compatibility, their best bet would be getting the Galaxy S21 Ultra or the Galaxy Z Fold 3 along with the option S Pen/S Pen Pro accessory.
