David Bowie’s widow, Iman, explains why she’ll never remarry: ‘My love lives’

Iman has no plans to ever remarry after losing her husband David Bowie.

The legendary artist passed away in 2016 at age 69 after fighting cancer for 18 months.

“There are days that are harder than others but the memories are not all sad of why the person isn’t here,” the supermodel and entrepreneur told People magazine on Wednesday. “… Sometimes I have to remind myself that I had 26 years. So I have that to sustain me.”

The couple’s daughter, Alexandria “Lexi” Jones, 21, has asked the 66-year-old if she saw herself saying “I do” once more in the future. But for the matriarch, the answer is clear.

“I said, ‘No, I will not,’” said Iman. “I still feel married. Someone a few years ago referred to David as my late husband and I said, ‘No, he’s not my late husband. He’s my husband.”

“I definitely feel his presence, especially when I look out over the glorious sunsets at our home because David loves sunsets,” she continued. “So in that way he is ever-present. Through my memory, my love lives.”

According to the outlet, Bowie and Iman first met on a blind date set up by a mutual friend. The life-changing meeting took place after Iman moved briefly to Los Angeles in 1990.

“I had never intended to move there,” she said. “it’s not one of my favorite places. It’s so vast but I personally believe now that was my destiny. My destiny was calling me to get there so I could meet David.”

“David said it was love at first sight,” she shared. “It took me a few months but I got there.”

Iman revealed that Bowie took his time to court her. But there was one moment that made Iman realize that they were meant for each other.

“Early on, we were walking down the street and my shoelace came undone and he got on his knees to tie it for me and I thought, ‘He’s the one,’” she said.

The couple tied the knot in 1992 and lived a private life in New York City with their daughter.

“I knew him as the man, David Jones, his real name,” said Iman. “And not the rock star.”

And the love they had for each other, she said, will always endure.

“I felt cherished,” she said. “Cherished and safe.”

Prince Andrew wants to remarry Fergie: report

Prince Andrew reportedly wants to say “I do again” and remarry ex-wife Sarah Ferguson – but first he’ll have to survive a royal sex-abuse scandal.

Divorcees Andrew and Ferguson apparently rekindled their old love during the COVID-19 pandemic and have even been living together, sources told Vanity Fair.

“It has rekindled something and I can see a second wedding happening if it all goes Andrew’s way,” one source said, according to the publication.

Andrew has been relieved of his royal duties as he faces a sex-assault lawsuit from Virginia Roberts Giuffre, who claims she was forced to have sex with the prince three times – beginning when she was 17.

Ferguson, often called “Fergie” in UK media reports, has continued to defend Andrew in the face of the accusations, which Andrew denies.

She recently told Polsat News that she still lives by her vows from her 1986 marriage, even though the couple divorced in 1996.

“I keep my commitment, no matter what,” the Dutchess of York said.

Kelly Clarkson tells Gwyneth Paltrow she doesn’t plan to remarry after Brandon Blackstock divorce

Kelly Clarkson revealed that she has no plans to get married again after her difficult divorce from Brandon Blackstock.

Clarkson filed for divorce from Blackstock in June, citing “irreconcilable differences” after roughly seven years of marriage. Since marrying in 2013, the couple has had two children together, daughter River, 6, and son Remington Alexander, 4. The daytime talk show host has been open about the struggle she’s going through amid the split.

Speaking to Gwyneth Paltrow on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” earlier this week, the duo discussed marriage. Specifically, Clarkson asked the actress about her decision to tie the knot with TV producer Brad Falchuck in 2018 after going through a divorce herself from Coldplay singer Chris Martin in 2014.

“You’ve been married for two years,” Kelly says in the interview. “Coming from someone who’s literally amidst a divorce, I can’t even imagine doing it again. So that’s amazing that you found love, and you found the space and the vulnerability—that level to say yes, and do it again. Was that hard for you?”

Paltrow responded by noting that remarrying was “probably the hardest thing I’ve ever done.” However, she said that the divorce and the gap years between marriage allowed her to reflect and learn what she needed in herself and a partner to make a second marriage work.

“You will have it again, Kelly. It just takes time,” she added.

Despite believing that she won’t ever walk down the aisle again, Clarkson leaned into her guest’s advice about learning lessons about one’s self following a divorce.

“I’m actually in that place where I think a lot of people, I’ve heard, that go through divorce, it’s almost like you start dating yourself again, like you actually make time for you again, and I love dating me,” Kelly explained. “I’m actually not looking for it.”

KELLY CLARKSON SAYS SHE’S WRITTEN ’60 SONGS’ AMID SPLIT FROM BRANDON BLACKSTOCK

Clarkson has been vocal and candid in the past on her show about her split. She previously noted that the “hardest” part of the whole situation is trying to maintain their respective relationships with their kids.

However, according to People, the singer and talk show host has been given primary custody over the kids in an effort to provide stability in the children’s lives. Blackstock, a talent manager, plans to live in Montana while Clarkson continues to work and live in Los Angeles.

In court documents obtained by the outlet, the court ruled that “the level of conflict between the parents has increased. The parties have a difficult time co-parenting due to issues of trust between them.”

As a result, Blackstock will be allowed to visit the children in Los Angeles as well as video chat with them every day at a previously agreed-upon time. In addition, the kids will spend their Thanksgiving break with their father and Dec. 19 through Christmas at 2 p.m. as well. Meanwhile, Clarkson get them that afternoon through the end of the New Year’s holiday.

While she will remain the primary physical custody holder, the duo will still share joint legal custody of the children.
