Relive NASA’s Artemis 1 moon mission with new highlight reel
Relive NASA’s epic Artemis 1 moon mission in a highlight reel showing launch to landing.
The video opens with the previously-unflown Space Launch System flawlessly launching the Orion spacecraft and sending it on to the moon on Nov. 16, demonstrating the first major goal of bringing a human-rated spacecraft to space.
Following launch, the highlight reel then follows Orion on its 25.5-day journey for Artemis 1, demonstrating it could fly in a distant retrograde orbit around the moon and safely come back to Earth again. The video then ends with the final test of re-entry and splashdown on Sunday (Dec. 11), which saw Orion’s 11 parachutes open in sequence for soft descent to the Pacific Ocean.

The gate-opener mission for the larger Artemis program produced stunning footage throughout its mission, showcasing the Earth and the moon in stunning views. Moonsets, Earthrises and a photobombing spacecraft all featured in live footage that NASA streamed from deep space, making us all feel like astronauts for a month.
While viewers also got to ride along with the Apollo program, the footage of the 1960s and 1970s was largely delivered after the fact. And even for those missions that beamed back footage in color, it certainly wasn’t in 4K. Nor were we able to have a “Star Wars” moment with the launch abort system ripping away within view of a video positioned in the cockpit.
Months of analysis on Artemis 1 will follow after NASA secures the spacecraft, which will make its way to Florida by road from San Diego after the U.S. Navy brings it ashore from its Pacific Ocean splashdown site. The lessons learned from this mission will inform Artemis 2, which will bring a crew of astronauts around the moon no earlier than 2024.
The next mission will be a key test of life support systems ahead of Artemis 3, which will bring astronauts down to the moon’s surface in 2025 or so. As NASA continues to build out Artemis missions, it will also be creating the Gateway space station to support surface operations from lunar orbit.

Kendall Jenner and Devin Booker Split: Relive Their Love Story
Kendall Jenner and Devin Booker have parted ways.
The couple of two years “hit a rough patch” and split about a week and a half ago, a source close to Kendall told E! News on June 22. Although the supermodel and the Phoenix Suns player had a “really nice time” in Italy last month for Kourtney Kardashian‘s wedding, the insider shared that “once they got back, they started to feel like they weren’t aligned and realized they have very different lifestyles.”
And while Kendall was the one who told Devin that she “wanted space and time apart,” it may not be necessarily game over for their relationship, according to the source.
“They have been in touch since and do care about one another,” the insider noted. “They both hope to make it work, but as of now, they are split.”
Erika Jayne Not Watching ‘RHOBH’ Reunion, Doesn’t Want to Relive Drama
While millions are tuning in to see the ‘RHOBH’ reunion, one pair of eyes won’t be — those belonging to Erika Jayne, who is not looking to re-experience all that tension and drama.
Sources tell TMZ … Erika has no plans to watch the 4-part special because what she went through while shooting it was grueling enough. If she were to watch, she knows that would mean going through the roller coaster of emotions again … and she’s just not up for it.
Instead, we’re told she’ll keep busy by working on a couple of business ventures and, overall, staying in a good headspace.
Erika, of course, spent an entire day filming the reunion on September 10. She was in the hot seat amid allegations her estranged husband, Tom Girardi, stole money intended for families of those who died in the 2018 Lion Air Flight 610 crash in Indonesia.
During Part 1 of Wednesday’s reunion … around 1.5 million viewers tuned in to watch host Andy Cohen grill Erika about the legal woes. She took the opportunity to address people accusing Girardi of siphoning millions, saying the biggest misconception is “that I’m cold and have no sympathy.”

Erika added that she wants anyone who was wronged to be whole again, and that it’s important that the alleged victims hear that from her.
As for what’s keeping her busy … we’re told some of the new business ventures include a beauty-related project and a big social media project. But, while she’s trying to move on … ‘RHOBH’ might not make it easy to do so.
As we reported, producers are looking to capitalize on Erika’s personal tumult. Remember, besides Girardi being accused of stealing … Erika’s also being sued for allegedly hiding their assets in a “sham divorce.”
