The Hills’ Lo Bosworth Recalls “Traumatic Brain Injury”

Laguna Beach and The Hills alum Lo Bosworth has kept out of the spotlight since the latter show ended its run more than 10 years ago. But on Saturday, March 13, the former reality star shared details of a secret health battle.

The 34-year-old, who often appeared onscreen with friend and main cast member Lauren Conrad, made her comments on her Instagram page.

“2 years ago in March I suffered a traumatic brain injury I didn’t tell you guys about. I was at a restaurant in lower Manhattan (which shall remain nameless bc accidents happen) and while sitting in a banquet had one of the swinging kitchen doors fall off it’s hinges and on to my head,” Lo wrote. “I was in the hospital and suffered a moderate to severe concussion for months. I took weeks off work and the road to recovery was long. I remember visiting a friend a few weeks later and feeling totally lost on 3rd avenue and 21st street, not knowing which direction to walk in.”

She went on to explain the injury had lasting effects. “I still struggle to recall words from time to time and get my thoughts out coherently 2 years later,” Lo continued. “THEN, I found out I had mononucleosis on top of it all. Also didn’t tell you guys that. One day I had to put my head down on my desk at work because of sheer exhaustion and fell asleep. I laid in bed for months and months whenever I could while continuing to work full-time at @lovewellness.”

Man robbed of $500K watch in Beverly Hills recalls ordeal

The target of a brazen daylight robbery outside a Beverly Hills eatery that netted a $500,000 watch — and left an innocent bystander shot — recounted the terrifying ambush to The Post on Friday.

Shay Belhassen says that during the ambush he “grabbed the gun and wrestled” the thieves to the ground.

Jewelry dealer Shay Belhassen said he was sitting with a client at celebrity hot spot Il Pastaio on Thursday afternoon when three armed thieves came up behind him and made their move to swipe his $500,000 Richard Mille timepiece.

“One of them was choking me from the back with a gun to my head, while the other one was grabbing my arm, and the third one was yanking the watch off my hand,” Belhassen told The Post in a phone interview — referring to his RM 11-03 rose gold Flyback Chronograph, a favorite of celebs such as Kanye West and Kevin Hart and tennis ace Rafael Nadal.

“I took a chance and grabbed the gun and wrestled them to the ground. They were trying to pull the trigger,” Belhassen said.

Four shots rang out during the struggle, the jewelry dealer said, and one of the slugs struck a woman in the leg who was sitting at the restaurant with her boyfriend.

“I believe one of [the robbers] got shot while they were struggling with me on the ground,” he said. “The eyewitnesses were saying he ran while holding his stomach. I know while we were fighting on the ground, a couple of bullets shot. I believe one of them hit him.”

He added that he was happy to escape the robbery with his life.

“They were coming to shoot. They didn’t come to play around. There was zero fear in their eyes,” he said.

Salma Hayek recalls sobbing while filming ‘Desperado’ sex scene

Salma Hayek is opening up about how her earliest movie role caused her a great deal of sadness.

The 54-year-old star appeared on Dax Shepard’s “Armchair Expert” podcast on Monday where she reflected on her breakout role in 1995’s “Desperado” opposite Antonio Banderas.

The award-winning actress remembered being grateful for landing the part of Carolina, but admits she wasn’t aware she’d have to film a sex scene until after production started.

“So, when we were going to start shooting, I started to sob, ‘I don’t know that I can do it. I’m afraid,'” Hayek recalled to Shepard and his co-host Monica Padman.

SALMA HAYEK ADDRESSES CLAIMS SHE MARRIED HER HUSBAND FRANÇOIS-HENRI PINAULT FOR ‘MONEY’: ‘THINK WHAT YOU WANT’

Hayek said she and Banderas filmed the scene on a closed set with director Robert Rodriguez and his then-wife, producer Elizabeth Avellán, with who she said she had close bonds.

“One of the things I was afraid of was Antonio — he was an absolute gentleman and so nice, and we’re still super close friends — but he was very free. It scared me that for him, it was like nothing. I started crying, and he was like, ‘Oh my God. You’re making me feel terrible.’ And I was so embarrassed that I was crying,” she continued.

The “Frida” star stressed that Banderas and Rodriguez “never put pressure” on her, but she still remembers vivid details of the experience.

“I was not letting go of the towel,” she remembered. “They would try to make me laugh. I would take it off for two seconds and start crying again. But we got through it. We did the best with what we could do at the time.”

“When you’re not you, then you can do it. But I keep thinking of my father and my brother,” she added. “And are they going to see it? And are they going to get teased? Guys don’t have that. Your father will be, ‘Yeah! That’s my son!'”

“Desperado” helped launch the Mexican-American star’s career, and she’s now been in the biz for three decades.

Elsewhere in the interview, Hayek dished on her 2009 marriage to wealthy French businessman François-Henri Pinault. She has faced claims and rumors that she only ended up with the Kering CEO for his cash, which she denied.

“You know the thing is that in pictures you cannot begin to guess the magic in him,” said the Oscar nominee. “He’s made me become a much better person, and grow in such a good, healthy way.”

She continued: “And you know when I married him, everybody said, ‘Oh, it’s an arranged marriage, she married him for the money. I’m like, ‘yeah, whatever, b—h.’ Think what you want: 15 years together, and we are strong in love.”

Billie Eilish recalls ‘horrible body relationship’ that led to her signature baggy clothes style

Hitmaker Billie Eilish is opening up about her signature baggy clothes style, which has been both celebrated and critiqued by fans in her ascent to superstardom.

The 19-year-old “Therefore I Am” singer has long battled body shamers and has even stopped to defend herself on social media more than once. Last year, Eilish went viral after photographers snapped paparazzi shots of her wearing a tank top outdoors which sent her fans into a frenzy because it was a form-fitting article of clothing her fans know she’d never be caught in onstage or in a music video.

In a new cover story for Vanity Fair which she conducted ahead of the release of the Apple TV Plus documentary about her life, “The World’s a Little Blurry,” Eilish said she approached the now-viral moment rather calmy.

“I think that the people around me were more worried about it than I was, because the reason I used to cut myself was because of my body. To be quite honest with you, I only started wearing baggy clothes because of my body,” Eilish said.

Eilish said the trending photos actually resulted in her being proud of herself for how far she’s come today in terms of her dealing with body insecurities.

“I was really, really glad though, mainly, that I’m in this place in my life, because if that had happened three years ago, when I was in the midst of my horrible body relationship—or dancing a ton, five years ago, I wasn’t really eating,” she said.

Eilish revealed that she used to take diet pills as a pre-teen. Prior to her chart-topping career in music, she was a dancer.

“I was, like, starving myself. I remember taking a pill that told me that it would make me lose weight and it only made me pee the bed—when I was 12. It’s just crazy. I can’t even believe, like I—wow. Yeah. I thought that I would be the only one dealing with my hatred for my body, but I guess the internet also hates my body. So that’s great,” she said.

BILLIE EILISH SAYS SHE HAS A TATTOO THAT FANS ‘WON’T EVER SEE’

Eilish went on to declare, “The internet hates women.”

Of course, when those viral photos of her in a tank top became a topic online, the Grammy winner defended herself. She uploaded a screenshot from a video she had filmed months prior that discussed why she prefers to hide the shape of her body.

“Do you really wanna go back in time?” she captioned the pic, referencing the video titled “NOT MY RESPONSIBILITY.” In the video, the hitmaker states that other people’s opinions of her are not in her control.

Fans rallied around Eilish and defended the musician.

The platinum-selling artist has previously addressed body confidence issues and explained why she wears oversized clothes on red carpets and during performances.

She told Forbes, “It kind of gives nobody the opportunity to judge what your body looks like. I want layers and layers and layers and I want to be mysterious.”

Eilish echoed her statements in British GQ for its July/August 2020 cover story, saying that she’s learning to love her body as she gets older and her decision to not show it off is her realization of her power.

While the world weighing in on her looks continues to be something she discusses — she recently admitted she has a tattoo fans “won’t ever see” — the 19-year-old said being in front of the camera is something she’s always enjoyed.

“I just have always loved cameras,” she continued to Vanity Fair, adding she’s particularly fond of “watching videos of myself, since I was a little kid.”

“I remember being 10 and being like, ‘Mom, can I watch home movies?’” she recalled.

She’s also appreciative of her ability to make her own decisions, she acknowledged. Eilish recalled growing up with peers who “would all be drinking and smoking and doing drugs and whatever.”

“I think because of the way that my personality is—I’m a very strong-willed person, and I think at the time I was very alpha—I’m coming to realize that I may have felt a feeling of superiority,” she said.

“The World’s a Little Blurry” is set to be released on Apple TV Plus on Feb. 26.
