Palestinian terrorist shoots 7 dead in ‘murderous rampage’ at Jerusalem synagogue

Seven people were shot and killed and at least three others were wounded in a terror shooting attack at a synagogue in Jerusalem’s Neve Yaakov neighborhood, police and medics said Friday night.

According to police, the terrorist arrived by car at 8:13 p.m. at the synagogue in the East Jerusalem neighborhood and opened fire at people outside the synagogue and other passersby.

He then fled the scene by car toward the Palestinian neighborhood of Beit Hanina — several hundred meters away — where, about five minutes later, he encountered officers who were called to the scene.

Police said the terrorist — a resident of East Jerusalem — was shot dead after he exited the car and opened fire on the officers while trying to escape on foot.

A handgun used in the attack was seized.

According to Channel 12 news, the terrorist first shot an elderly woman in the street, then encountered a motorcycle rider and shot him, before reaching the Ateret Avraham synagogue and opening fire at people outside.

The first Magen David Adom medic to arrive at the scene, Fadi Dekidek, said: “It was a very serious incident. We saw a woman and four men lying on the street. All had gunshot wounds and no signs of life.”

Magen David Adom said its medics declared five victims dead at the scene, and another two victims were declared dead at hospitals in Jerusalem.

Speaking to reporters from the scene, police commissioner Kobi Shabtai said the attack was one of the worst Israel had seen in years.

“The terrorist shot at everyone he encountered. He got out of the car and began a murderous rampage with a handgun,” Shabtai said.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, speaking after visiting the scene, called the attack “one of the most severe we have known in years.”

“Our hearts are with the families. I commend the police officers who took action so quickly,” Netanyahu said. “We must act with determination and composure. I call on people not to take the law into their own hands.”

He said the cabinet would convene on Saturday, adding, “We have decided on several immediate steps that will begin tonight.”

The police officer who shot the terrorist met with Netanyahu at the scene.

“The vehicle stopped, the terrorist pulled out his weapon,” the officer said. “I kept moving fast in his direction and closed in on him while he was firing at us.”

“We stopped the patrol car, pulled out our weapons, the terrorist crossed to the other side. We fired on him and he fell. We moved in and saw that he was still moving and trying to turn around his weapon. We neutralized him,” the officer said.

Bystander video published by Channel 12 was said to show the shootout between the police and the terrorist.

With seven killed, the shooting in Jerusalem was the deadliest terror attack since 2011, when terrorists crossed into Israel from Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula, killing eight Israelis. It was the deadliest Palestinian terror attack since 2008, when a gunman from East Jerusalem killed eight Israeli students at the Mercaz Harav yeshiva in the capital.

MDA said the dead were five men, aged 20, 25, 30, 50, and 60, and two women, aged 60 and 70.

The victims were not immediately named.

The wounded victims included a 15-year-old boy in moderate-to-serious condition, a 24-year-old man in moderate condition, and a 60-year-woman, also in moderate condition.

The victims had been taken to the Hadassah Mount Scopus and Shaare Zedek hospitals.

Jerusalem District Police Commander Doron Turgeman, speaking to reporters at the scene, said the terrorist had acted alone.

Dozens of officers were dispatched to the scene, police said.

National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, who is in charge of police, arrived at the scene of the attack, was briefed by police officers, and later accompanied Netanyahu when the prime minister arrived. Citizens at the scene shouted various comments at the minister; some called out “Death to terrorists.”

“It’s on your watch!” one man cried. “Let’s see what you do now.”

Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, who was in the United States for a personal trip, was to head back to Israel on Friday night following the attack, his office said.

Netanyahu held an assessment with top security officials, before heading to the scene of the attack.

Following the assessment, IDF chief Herzi Halevi issued instructions to bolster forces in the West Bank and along its security barrier, and to prepare for a potential escalation in the region.

Local residents told Channel 12 news that it took 20 minutes for the police to arrive. “It’s a disgrace,” one anguished man said.

Police responded to the accusation by saying their records showed officers had arrived at the scene and killed the terrorist within five minutes of the first reports of gunfire.

Shalom Borohov, a barber who lives near the synagogue, told AFP that after hearing gunshots he “went down to help people.”

“I saw the terrorist arriving with his car. He stopped in the middle of the junction, and shot from his car,” continuing to shoot as people came to the scene, he said.

The terrorist was named by the Shin Bet security agency as Alqam Khayri, 21, a resident of East Jerusalem with no prior terror-related offenses.

Police were reported to have been operating in the neighborhood of at-Tur, where Khayri reportedly lived. Palestinian media said the gunman’s father was summoned by police for questioning.

Palestinian media reported that celebrations were held in the Gaza Strip and in several Palestinian cities in the West Bank following the deadly attack.

Friday’s deadly attack came following days of violence in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. Tensions have increased dramatically since Thursday morning, when an Israel Defense Forces raid in the West Bank against a terrorist cell left nine Palestinians dead — most of them gunmen and members of the cell, though at least one civilian was also killed.

The IDF said Thursday’s operation in the Jenin refugee camp was necessary to foil imminent attack plans by a local Islamic Jihad terror cell. The group had primed explosives and firearms, according to the IDF.

Hamas praised Friday’s attack as a response to Thursday’s IDF operation, but no terror group took responsibility for it.

Thursday overnight saw rocket fire from Palestinian terror groups in Gaza and Israeli retaliatory air strikes, though both sides appeared intent on avoiding an escalation into a full-scale war.

Tensions were also high in Jerusalem and the Temple Mount on Friday, though Muslim prayers proceeded without issue.

AFP contributed to this report.

Polar bear kills mother, 1-year-old son after rampage through remote Alaska village

A young woman and her baby son were killed by a polar bear when the animal entered their remote village in Alaska and chased several people, according to authorities.

The incident occurred at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday in the Wales, Alaska — the westernmost point of the American mainland with an estimated population of about 170 people — when a polar bear reportedly entered the remote community, police said.

Investigators revealed Wednesday that the victims were Summer Myomick, 24, of St. Michael, and her son Clyde Ongtowasruk. The attack on the mother and child took place near a school, according to the Alaska Department of Public Safety.

“Initial reports indicate that a polar bear had entered the community and had chased multiple residents,” according to a statement released by the agency on Tuesday in the aftermath of the attack. “The bear fatally attacked an adult female and juvenile male.”

The bear was shot and killed by a local resident as it attacked the victims, according to authorities.

A polar bear chased down and killed a woman and a young boy when it entered a remote village community in Alaska before a resident was able to shoot and kill the bear during the attack on Jan. 17, 2023 in Wales, Alaska.

Alaska Department of Fish and Game

An investigation into the attack is ongoing as “troopers and the Alaska Department of Fish and Game are working to travel to Wales as weather conditions allow,” the Alaska Department of Public Safety confirmed.

“Poor weather conditions in the region and the lack of runway lights in Wales prevented Troopers and Alaska Department of Fish and Game personnel from making it to Wales,” the agency said in a statement Wednesday.

Polar bear attacks are very rare but male polar bears can weigh anywhere from 600 to 1,200 pounds with female polar bears ranging between 400 and 700 pounds, according to the Alaska Department for Fish and Game. Their average life span is about 25 years.

“Current and predicted future declines in sea ice led the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to list polar bears as threatened under the ESA (Endangered Species Act) throughout their range,” according to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game. “Thinner ice and longer ice-free periods in summer may reduce the length of time polar bears have to hunt, and result in population declines.”

Walmart Chesapeake shooting – latest: Teenager among six ‘targeted’ by suspect Andre Bing in Virginia rampage

Police spokesperson gives update on Walmart shooting

A 16-year-old has been identified as one of the victims of the Chesapeake Walmart store mass shooting.

Fernando Chavez Jr along with five others was fatally shot and at least four others suffered injuries when gunman Andre Bing opened fire at the department store on Tuesday.

A chilling “manifesto” has been found on the cellphone of the gunman, where he laid out his motive for the mass shooting in Virginia ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday.

Witnesses have described how the horrifying events unfolded in the employee break room, as investigators try to piece together a motive.

A law enforcement source told local media that Bing was “upset” about a recent change in employment status and complained that he was being “harassed” by fellow employees.

A former coworker also said he was paranoid about the government watching him and did not like being recorded. One witness claims she saw him target certain people during the attack.

President Joe Biden yesterday said the shooting, as well as the massacre at an LGBT+ club in Colorado Springs over the weekend, underscored the need to outlaw “sick” assault weapons with no social value.

Were there warning signs in the Walmart shooting?

A Walmart employee has claimed that the coworker who allegedly carried out a horror mass shooting at the store in Chesapeake, Virginia, had “issues” with some of their other colleagues and was “laughing” as he opened fire on his victims.

The gunman, who has since been named as Andre Bing, carried out the attack with a pistol before turning the gun on himself, police said.

A witness, who was not named, told local network 10 On Your Side that the shooting unfolded when 14 employees were sitting in a meeting room about to go on shift.

Rachel Sharp has more details.

Biden rails against ‘sick’ semi-automatic weapons

President Joe Biden denounced the proliferation of semi-automatic weapons and the fact that some areas of the country did not enforce so-called “red flag laws” meant to prevent people who posed a danger to themselves and others.

Mr Biden made the remarks on Thanksgiving in Nantucket after delivering pumpkin pies to firefighters. The president’s remarks came after a mass shooting in Colorado Springs killed five people at Club Q, a gay bar, and a shooting at a Walmart in Chesapeake, Virginia, left six dead.

“The idea we still allow semi-automatic weapons to be purchased is sick,” he told reporters.

“Just sick. It has no, no social redeeming value. Zero. None. Not a single solitary rationale for it except profit for the gun manufacturers.”

Stu Grayson returns on AEW Rampage – WON/F4W

Five months after he couldn’t come to terms with AEW on a new deal, Stu Grayson has returned.

Grayson made a surprise return on Friday’s Rampage in a backstage segment with the Dark Order. After 10 challenged Rush to a match next week, he, Evil Uno, John Silver and Alex Reynolds put their hands together in a sign of unity.

Then, a bandaged hand appeared on top and the camera pulled back to reveal it was Grayson, much to the surprise of the group. He said he wasn’t going to miss AEW’s debut in Canada and the segment ended.

The Canadian native departed AEW in May after he and the company couldn’t come to a financial agreement on a new deal. He had been with the company since Double or Nothing in May 2019 where he and Evil Uno debuted.

It’s unknown what type of contract, if any, the 33-year-old has signed and what changed from either side since May.

After last wrestling in AEW in April, Grayson has competed nine times on the indies, nearly all of them in Canada, with more coming up.

Thailand massacre: ex-cop kills 24 children in knife and gun rampage

  • Total death toll including shooter is 37 – police
  • Attacker kills 24 children, 13 adults in rampage
  • Thai daycare centre was for children aged 2-5
  • Most child victims were stabbed – police
  • Attacker killed his wife, child, and shot himself

NA KLANG, Thailand, Oct 6 (Reuters) – A former policeman killed 34 people, including 23 children, during a knife and gun rampage at a daycare centre in northeast Thailand on Thursday, police said, before later shooting dead his wife and child at home and turning his weapon on himself.

In one of the world’s worst child death tolls in a massacre by a single killer in recent history, most of the children who died at the daycare centre in Uthai Sawan, a town 500 km (310 miles) northeast of Bangkok, were stabbed to death, police said.

The age range of children at the daycare centre was from two to five years, a local official told Reuters.

Police identified the attacker as a former member of the force who was dismissed from his post last year over drug allegations and he was facing trial on a drugs charge.

The man had been in court earlier in the day and had then gone to the daycare centre to collect his child, police spokesperson Paisal Luesomboon told broadcaster ThaiPBS.

When he did not find his child there, he began the killing spree, Paisal said. “He started shooting, slashing, killing children at the Uthai Sawan daycare centre,” Paisal said.

“It’s a scene that nobody wants to see. From the first step when I went in, it felt harrowing,” Piyalak Kingkaew, an experienced emergency worker heading the first responder team, told Reuters.

“We’ve been through it before, but this incident is most harrowing because they are little kids.”

A large van that police said contained bodies of 22 people, mostly children, was seen by Reuters departing from a police station headed towards the city of Udon Thani, 80 km (50 miles) away, where autopsies would be performed.

‘I BEGGED HIM FOR MERCY’

A Reuters photographer also saw late on Thursday the body of the shooter, Panya Khamrapm, being moved in a bodybag from a van to a police station in the province.

Photographs taken at the daycare centre by the rescue team and shared with Reuters showed the tiny bodies of those killed laid out on blankets. Abandoned juice boxes were scattered across the floor.

“He was heading towards me and I begged him for mercy, I didn’t know what to do,” one distraught woman told ThaiPBS, fighting back tears.

“He didn’t say anything, he shot at the door while the kids were sleeping,” another woman said, becoming distraught.

Police said the attacker’s weapon was a 9 mm pistol and it had been obtained legally.

Thailand’s police chief said the perpetrator had tried to break into the premises and had mostly used a knife in the killings.

“Then he got out and started killing anyone he met along the way with a gun or the knife until he got home. We surrounded his house and then found that he committed suicide in his home,” Damrongsak Kittiprapas told reporters.

He said a few children had survived, without giving details.

About 30 children were at the facility – a pink, one-storey building surrounded by a lawn and small palm trees – when the attacker arrived, fewer than usual, as heavy rain had kept many people away, said district official Jidapa Boonsom, who was working in a nearby office at the time.

“The shooter came in around lunch time and shot four or five officials at the childcare centre first,” Jidapa told Reuters.

The attacker forced his way into a locked room where the children were sleeping, Jidapa said. A teacher who was eight months pregnant was also among those stabbed to death, she said.

The massacre is among the worst involving children killed by one person. Anders Breivik killed 69 people, mostly teenagers, at a summer camp in Norway in 2011, while the death toll in other cases include 20 children at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown Connecticut in 2012, 16 at Dunblane in Scotland in 1996 and 19 at a school in Uvalde, Texas, this year.

The Beslan school hostage crisis in Russia in 2004 saw 186 children killed by a group of hostage takers.

DRUGS CHARGE

Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-Ocha was expected to visit the region on Friday. In a statement on Facebook, he called Thursday’s rampage a “shocking incident”.

Prayuth ordered all government departments to fly the national flag at half mast on Friday to mark a tragedy that “had caused grief to the entire nation”, his spokesperson Anusha Burapchaisri said.

King Maha Vajiralongkorn and Queen Suthida will visit families of the victims in Udon Thani on Friday, according to a local announcement.

The government said it would provide financial aid to the families to help cover funeral expenses and medical treatment.

The White House and the United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres both expressed shock at the attack and sent condolences to the victims’ families.

Gun laws are strict in Thailand, where possession of an illegal firearm carries a prison sentence of up to 10 years. But ownership is high compared with some other countries in Southeast Asia. Illegal weapons, many brought in from strife-torn neighbouring countries, are common.

Mass shootings in Thailand remain rare, although in 2020, a soldier angry over a property deal gone sour killed at least 29 people and wounded 57 in a rampage that spanned four locations.

Darby Allin & Sting defeated The House of Black (w/ Julia Hart) in a no-disqualification match (12:57)

All and Sting snuck up behind The House of Black as they made their entrance and attacked. King press-slammed Allin into the ring while Sting brawled with Buddy Matthews while Julia Hart was on his back. After much brawling in and around the ring, Sting took on both members of the House of Black in the ring 2-on-1, Sting hit Matthews with a Stinger Splash, then avoided a charge from King (who charged into Matthews). King set up Sting for a superplex, but Allin broke that up with an avalanche Code Red on King for a near fall.

Allin went for his high speed plancha on Matthews, but Matthews cut him off with a knee. Sting knocked Matthews off of the apron on to a table. King charged into Sting and sent him crashing through a pair of tables. Hart and King handcuffed Sting in the ring.

During the split-screen break, The House of Black brawled with Allin up the ramp way while Sting was handcuffed in the ring. They went for Dante’s Inferno, but Allin countered. Allin climbed up one of the lighting structures on the entrance stage and delivered the Coffin Drop onto Matthews from a good ten or twelve feet up. Allin went for a Coffin splash on King, but King caught him with a choke, and eventually both Allin and King tumbled off the stage and through a table.

Julia Hart led Matthews (holding Sting’s bat) back to the ring, where Sting was still handcuffed and bleeding from his forehead. Matthews set up Sting on a chair to strike him with the bat when the lights went out. When they came up, The Great Muta arrived to save Sting! Muta made his entrance to a huge ovation to the crowd. Muta and Sting had a brief staredown, then Muta turned to Matthews and took him down with a dragon screw leg whip. Muta sprayed Matthews with the green mist, which sent him flying back into Julia Hart on the apron. Hart went flying backwards and “through” a table that she actually completely missed, and she landed backfirst on the floor (she mostly missed the mats at ringside, too). That couldn’t have been fun at all. Judge how bad it was for yourself here, about 1:45 into the video clip.

Sting broke free of the handcuffs and dropped Matthews with the Scorpion Death Drop to get the three count. Seeing Muta and Sting in the ring together was a great moment. They shook hands and embraced.

After the match, a bloodied Darby Allin was briefly shown being tended to by doctors.

Hook & Action Bronson defeated Angelo Parker & Matt Menard (5:10)

Bronson looked winded singing the entrance music for Hook as they walked to the ring, but he still got a pretty big pop from the crowd. Or maybe that was just for Hook. Taz was on commentary for this match.

Hook started with Parker and was on the wrong end of a gutwrench suplex. Menard got the tag and demanded Bronson. Bronson happily obliged, and took Menard down with a tackle, then crushed both Parker and Menard with an avalanche in the corner. Parker ran in and hit Hook from behind with a kick. The heels took control and Parker actually got a two count on Hook. Hook sold more than he ever had before and Menard also got a near fall. Parker went for a suplex, but Hook countered with his own suplex and got the hot tag to Bronson.

Bronson hit an Oklahoma Stampede powerslam and took both Menard and Parker down with shoulder tackles. Hook came in and hit a suplex on Parker then locked on the Redrum. Menard tried to run in and Bronson caught him in the Redrum as well, and both men tapped out.

TNT Champion Wardlow & ROH World TV Champion Samoa Joe defeated Tony Nese & Josh Woods (w/ Mark Sterling) (2:26)

Sterling cut a promo on the house mic and talked about how he definitely wouldn’t be powerbombed tonight.

Warldow and Woods fought in the ring while Nese and Joe battled on the floor. Wardlow clotheslined Woods over the ropes and followed him out, tweaking his knee. Joe and Nese battled into the ring, and Joe avoided a moonsault from Nese. Joe caught Nese with an uranage, then delivered the Muscle Buster to get the pinfall.

Nese and Woods jumped Joe after the match, but Wardlow made the save. Sterling hit Wardlow from behind with one of the title belts, which Wardlow no-sold. Sterling tried to run, but Joe cut him off and Wardlow gave Sterling three movements of the Powerbomb Symphony. Fun squash.

“Jungle Boy” Jack Perry defeated Rey Fenix (16:40 aired)

JR called him “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry enough times that someone finally realized how much better that name is. It only took 3 years!

The first few minutes of the match took place during the split-screen break. After the break, Jungle Boy hit a lariat and a brainbuster for a near fall. Jungle Boy evaded a hook kick, then hit a superkick and a poisoned rana. Fenix came back with a jumping stunner and both men were down.

Fenix won a battle of strikes and went for a tiger driver, but Perry countered with a rana for a near fall. Fenix tried to reverse direction in the ropes, but Perry caught him in the ropes with a dropkick. They fought on the apron, and Perry caught Fenix with a solid forearm. Perry tried to powerbomb Fenix to the floor, but Fenix countered with a kick. Fenix went for a dive onto Perry on the floor, but Perry caught him with a superkick. Both guys were down on the mat.

After another break, Perry wailed away on Fenix with chops in the ring, but Fenix came back with kicks. Fenix hit a cutter out of a Gory Special for a near fall. Fenix set up an escalera by running from the ring ramp and then springboarding into the ring. Perry came back with a powerbomb and a sliding elbow for a near fall. Fenix went for the Three Amigos, but Perry slipped out of the third suplex and caught Fenix with a sitout death valley driver for a near fall. Fenix hit a massive frog splash for a near fall. Fenix set up the Fire Thunder Driver, but Pery rolled though into a small package and Perry got the pinfall. Great match that I’d probably love even more without all the interruptions.

After the match, Perry and Fenix shook hands. As Jungle Boy celebrated, Christian Cage came out with his arm in a sling. While Perry looked at Cage on the stage in a rage, Luchasaurus attacked Perry from behind. Luchasaurus laid out Perry and Cage cut a promo on the New York fans and Perry. Luchasuarus chokeslammed Perry and Cage told not to show up in AEW next week.

– In a pre-taped segment, Alex Marvez interviewed new ROH Champion Chris Jericho and the JAS to celebrate Jericho’s 8th world title. There will be a championship celebration on Dynamite next week. Daniel Garcia had something to say to Jericho, but Jericho told him to save it for the celebration.

Sammy Guevara (w/ Tay Melo) defeated Eddie Kingston on a reverse decision (8:11)

Guevara grabbed the house mic to tell Kingston he was a fat piece of sh!t and Kingston flew off the handle, gouging at Guevara’s eyes. They brawled on the floor where Kingston dominated. Kingston setup Guevara for a piledriver on the apron, but Guevara backdropped him out of it and caught him with a punt.

Guevara hit Kingston with a suplex in the ring. Kingston came back with a series of back elbows and ran the ropes for a clothesline, but Melo tripped him up. Guevara hit the distracted Kingston with a knee strike. Guevara hit the double jump cutter for a near fall. Kingston countered the GTH with elbows and floored Guevara with a lariat. Kingston battered Guevara with machine gun chops in the corner. Guevara tried for the double jump cutter, but Kingston caught him and delivered a back suplex. Guevara hit a superkick, but Kingston came back with a half-and-half suplex. Kingston hit Guevara with three spinning backfists, then locked Guevara in the Stretch Plum for the submission…

… except, Kingston refused to let go of the hold. Jerry Lynn came out to try and reason with Kingston, but he wouldn’t listen. After security and other referees couldn’t get Kingston to break the hold, senior referee Paul Turner came out and reversed the decision, giving Guevara the victory. On commentary, Tony Schiavone informed that Tony Khan challenged Paul Turner to tighten up the officiating after some controversial calls on Dynamite Wednesday.

Jade Cargill (w/ the Baddies) defeated Diamante (w/ Trina) (2:36) to retain the TBS Championship.

Diamante went for a crossbody to the floor on Cargill, but Cargill caught her and gave her an F5 into the ring apron. Back in the ring, the Jaded slam got Cargill the pinfall. After the match, Trina slapped Diamante and celebrated with Cargill.

Adam Page won the AEW Golden Ticket Battle Royal (12:16 aired)

Adam Page was the first man to enter the ring for the Battle Royal, but he was jumped by the Butcher, the Blade, and Rush on his way to the ring. More men entered the fray and the show went to commercial. During the split screen break, they showed several men brawling around the ring.

After the break, the battle royal started with everyone on the floor jumping into the ring. Paul Wight joined the commentary team for the battle royal.

Penta eliminated Ari Daivari of the Trustbusters right off the bat. The Best Friends eliminated Cole Karter. Danhausen tried to curse QT Marshall, then Page and Danhausen cloheslined Marshall to the floor. The Butcher and Blade eliminated Danhausen.

Dante Martin got dumped to the ramp (which counts as an elimination) by Brian Cage. Cage then knocked Dalton Castle off the apron, but the Boys (not in the battle royal) caught him and helped him back into the ring. Castle then dumped Cage to the floor when the Boys distracted him.  Lance Archer clotheslined Trent Beretta to the floor, Daniel Garcia eliminated Castle, and Lee Moriarty eliminated Garcia.

Dark Order #10 was eliminated during the commercial break. (There must have been some other eliminations during the break as well.) Matt Hardy eliminated Blade and celebrated with Private Party, then the Butcher eliminated the three of them.

Evil Uno was eliminated. Page eliminated the Butcher. Rush and John Silver exchanged blows in the ring, and Rush dumped Silver. Penta got Archer over the top rope, then knocked him to the floor with a kick. Penta tried to dump Jay Lethal, but Satnam Singh caught him and tossed him back into the ring. Lethal eliminated Penta, and then Adam Page eliminated Lethal.

This left Adam Page and Rush as the last two men in the ring. Page tried to rana Rush over the ropes and almost hit the floor, but he saved himself. Page and Rush exchanged hard chops on the apron. Rush set up a piledriver on the apron, but Page countered and dropped Rush with the Deadeye. Rush fell to the floor, giving Page the victory.

Adam Page will now face the AEW World Champion on the October 18th episode of Dynamite.

Ricky Starks defeated Powerhouse Hobbs in a Lights Out Match (11:52)

Hobbs caught Starks with a neckbreaker and started throwing furniture into the ring. He threw a table onto Starks in the ring, then hit him with a chair. Hobbs continued throwing furniture into the ring during the split-screen break. Hobbs and Starks whipped each other with Justin Roberts’ belt, and Hobbs got a near fall with a sit-out spinebuster.

Starks sent Hobbs into a chair and caught him with a tornado DDT for a near fall. Starks went for a chair but Hobbs caught him with a low blow. Hobbs set up some chairs, but Starks caught Hobbs with a low blow of his own. Starks then repositioned the chair and went for the Roshambeaux, but Hobbs backdropped Starks onto the chairs (so his back landed on the top of the set up chairs). Hobbs powerslammed Starks onto the pile of steel chairs for a near fall.

Starks and Hobbs brawled up the ramp. Hobbs ripped a light fixture off of the entrance and stalked Starks back down the ramp. Back in the ring, Hobbs took a wild swing with the light fixture, but Starks ducked and speared Hobbs through a table. Starks hit Hobbs with the light fixture, then delivered the Roshambeaux to get the pinfall.

I hope this win is the start of a huge push for Ricky Starks. He is seriously talented.

Final Thoughts:

Jon Moxley v. Juice Robinson in a Championship Eliminator match was announced for Dynamite during the main event, along with interviews from Saraya and MJF.

The first 45 minutes or so of this show just flew by, but then it really dragged in the middle. The show picked up with the end of the battle royal and the main event.

Definitely the best episode of Rampage in a while, with the Jungle Boy v. Rey Fenix match as the definite highlight.
