TikTok star Bryce Hall Punches Las Vegas Security Guard

Posted on: January 9, 2023, 07:50h.

Last updated on: January 9, 2023, 08:10h.

Bryce Hall punched a security guard at Wynn Las Vegas in the head over the weekend, and the incident could spell trouble for the social media influencer. Hall, 24,  has 23.7 million TikTok and 3 million YouTube followers.

TMZ published video of the melee, shot outside XS nightclub on Friday night. In the footage, four guards are required to take an out-of-control Hall to the ground.

According to TMZ, Las Vegas police were called to the scene and cited Hall with two counts of battery and one count of trespassing, all misdemeanors. The case will be submitted to the District Attorney’s office, according to TMZ, which will decide whether to prosecute.

The fight allegedly started because Hall and a friend were ejected from the club during a Calvin Harris performance, after being invited up to the DJ booth.

This is not Hall’s first heated confrontation involving police. In fact, it’s his third. On Oct. 9, 2022, he was jailed in LA following a dispute with a Hyde Lounge bartender over upcharging that became violent after a member of Hall’s entourage was punched in the face.

Los Angeles Police Department records obtained by E! News show showed that Hall was detained for a misdemeanor and released on his own accord.

In October 2020, footage obtained by TMZ showed Hall and some friends in an altercation with an employee of LA’s Cinco restaurant. In April 2021, according to People magazine, the restaurant co-owner, Hernan Fernando, sued Hall for battery, assault, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and engaging in acts of violence motivated by race, national origin, citizenship, immigration status, or primary language.

“I feel like, as more people watch me across all my platforms – not just highlight the negatives that I’ve done in my past or in the current – I feel like they would understand that, deep down, I am a pretty nice guy,” Hall told Entertainment Tonight in 2020.

Hall began his social media career at the age of 15, allegedly to make friends after being bullied. He moved from his Maryland home to LA in 2018 to pursue fulltime live-streaming, and became one of the social-media personalities featured in a Hulu documentary called “Jawline.”

Hall gave boxing a try in June 2021, when he took on another social media star, former college basketball player Austin McBroom. Hall was dropped multiple times en route to a third-round stoppage.

At the time, Hall claimed that he “was not a fighter” and that he had “never claimed to be a fighter.”

Bryce recently relocated from LA to Las Vegas, where he purchased a house, according to TMZ. He also attended and posted from the AVN awards over the weekend.

Ex-Employee Punches Holes In Elon Musk’s Latest Twitter Theory

ELon Musk, who acquired Twitter last month, suggested the platform was the biggest source of referrals.

New Delhi:

Elon Musk’s latest claim that Twitter is the massive driver of clicks to other websites on the internet has been widely opposed and mocked by several users, including a former employee of the social media company.

Mr Musk, who acquired Twitter last month, suggested the platform was the biggest source of referrals.

“Twitter drives a massive number of clicks to other websites/apps. Biggest click driver on the Internet by far,” he said in response to an exchange indicating how Twitter “drives so few clicks”.

Claire Diaz-Ortiz, a former Twitter employee, rubbished the billionaire’s claim as “100 per cent false”.

“Lies. I worked at Twitter 5 yrs + wrote 2 books on social media mktg. this is 100% FALSE & Twitter knows it. We never sold it on clicks, bc it is much lower on traffic than FB, LI, etc. Twitter has other key strengths. (& mrkting is way more than clicks;) (sic),” she tweeted.

Another user, Tom Coates -a product developer – dismissed Mr Musk’s statement as “embarrassingly wrong”.

“100% wrong. Embarrassingly wrong. I mean even if you ignore the search engines it’s wrong. I can feel your ad execs and partnerships people (if there are any left) shrivelling up the more you type,” he wrote on Twitter.

He even shared a study which showed that at 74.1 per cent, Facebook was far and away the leading generator of traffic to other websites, much ahead as compared to Twitter’s 7.73 per cent.

Elon Musk, who has been looking for ways to make Twitter profitable, on Thursday raised the possibility of the social media platform going bankrupt, two weeks after buying it for $44 billion.

He also warned that Twitter would not be able to “survive the upcoming economic downturn” if it fails to boost subscription revenue to offset falling advertising income, as per reports/

After taking over on October 27, Mr Musk moved to clean house and has said the company was losing more than $4 million a day, largely because advertisers started fleeing once he took over.

Twitter has $13 billion in debt after the deal and faces interest payments totaling close to $1.2 billion in the next 12 months. The payments exceed Twitter’s most recently disclosed cash flow, which amounted to $1.1 billion as of the end of June.

He also began charging $8 a month for the Twitter Blue service which will include a blue check verification before pausing it on Friday. It will probably “come back end of next week”, he said today.

San Francisco 49ers’ Kyle Shanahan draws line on toughness after players throw punches in practice

SANTA CLARA, Calif. — After halting practice for a second time because of a brawl on Tuesday, coach Kyle Shanahan called for his team to huddle up.

He promptly delivered some choice words about what had just transpired. Underneath the anger was a simple message about how Shanahan wants his team to play.

Physical? Absolutely. Tough? Of course. Irritating? Sure.

But Shanahan wants the Niners to draw the line at throwing punches, which happened twice in that Tuesday practice — namely between star middle linebacker Fred Warner and receiver Brandon Aiyuk.

“I want everyone challenging each other,” Shanahan said on Friday. “I don’t care how much crap each other talks; I don’t care how close they get to fighting. They can do whatever they want to get themselves to be as intense as they want and bring the best out of each other, which happens a lot that way. And it’s the same on the field.

“But once you throw a punch, you get ejected or you get a penalty, and we pride ourselves on, I want people to be irritants, I want people to get as close as they can to all that stuff. I want people to get right on the line where they’re about to black out, but you can’t black out on the football field or you cost your team.”

The problem this week for Shanahan’s team was that it happened on the practice field among teammates. It was the warmest day of this camp and a longer, fully padded session, factors that multiple players said contributed to the situation. And while fights are common at every training camp, this one happened between two players expected to play significant roles this season.

The biggest fight — between Warner and Aiyuk — began when a late hit by Warner landed receiver Marcus Johnson in the concussion protocol.

Something had already been brewing between Warner and Aiyuk, with Aiyuk telling media a few days before, in a semi-joking way, that Warner was “annoying” and his insistence on continuing to rip at the ball and touch guys after plays ended was “irritating.”

Warner countered that he believes Aiyuk is ready to take the next step in his career and he’s doing what he can to help him take his game to another level.

“Specifically with Brandon, I chose him out,” Warner said. “I think he’s ready to make that next step into playing at an elite level. I’ve gotten after him a little bit … because I know how much he has in him. And I know if I nag him a little bit, he’s going to get sick and tired of that and start to hold his own. … He’s started to really gain that mindset of knowing he’s a guy and he’s capable. I’m trying to get the best out of him. That’s it.”

On Friday, Shanahan said he’s fine with his players pushing one another, and he trusts them to do it the right way. But incidents like Tuesday’s have to reach a natural stopping point.

“I love the intensity of it,” Shanahan said. “I don’t think you have to fight to be intense, though. Scuffles are scuffles but then they lead to other stuff. I think that’s why we’ve got a guy in protocol because he took an unnecessary shot on someone which led to the big fight and then we had a bunch of haymakers and stuff thrown in there, which only break hands.”

The Niners made it through the rest of Tuesday’s practice and all of Wednesday’s without further incident. In the interim, Shanahan has hammered home the point that his team can be physical without resorting to fights.

“I think our team is pretty tough,” Shanahan said. “I think we’re pretty physical. I think if most probably voted on who would be the most physical team on tape last year, I think we’d win most of that, and we didn’t get in one fight last year. So, I don’t think that totally pertains to toughness.”

Genshin Impact trailer shows off Shikanoin Heizou’s punches and kicks

Genshin Impact Version 2.8 is just about a week away, dropping live on July 13. The update is bringing us a brand new character named Shikanoin Heizou whose a prodigy detective who knows how to take a punch. When we first got word of Shikanoin Heizou’s detective skills, him being a kickboxer wasn’t exactly on our minds. But indeed, Shikanoin Heizou’s kit is designed around his punches and kicks, which are on full display in the latest Genshin Impact trailer.

The latest Shikanoin Heizou trailer shows his flashy boxing skills, backed by a music track that sounds like it came straight out of The Great Ace Attorney. The violins are on full display as Shikanoin Heizou beats up Treasure Hoarders left and right, showcasing his abilities. As an Anemo character, Shikanoin Heizou can infuse different elements, dishing out Swirl damage by mixing different elements together.

We already know all of Shikanoin Heizou’s abilities, including the Heartstopper Strike that deals a ton of damage, and his Windmuster Kick Elemental Burst that kicks an explosive projectile at his enemies. These abilities do an impressive amount of damage for a 4-star character, but we’ll have to wait and see how he performs in the game’s meta.

Shikanoin Heizou will be available in the first half of Version 2.8, as a featured 4-star rate-up alongside the characters Kazuha and Klee. Kazuha is one of the strongest characters currently in the game, so it’s a good idea to pull on this banner regardless if you want Shikanoin Heizou or not.

Mariners-Angels brawl: Punches thrown, eight ejections made as Jesse Winker plunking leads to heated fight

A brawl — an actual brawl, not one where a bunch of players stand around kind of shoving — erupted between the Seattle Mariners and Los Angeles Angels Sunday in Anaheim. There were a decent number of punches thrown and lots of drama that meant baseball didn’t resume for quite a while. Eventually, there were eight ejections — six players and both managers.

It all started Saturday night, actually. A pitch sailed close to Mike Trout’s head on its way to the backstop in the ninth inning. The Angels star was unhappy and said as much after the game.

“If you can’t pitch inside, don’t pitch inside,” Trout said (via ocregister.com). “If you’re going to hit me, hit me in the ribs. Don’t hit me in the head. I don’t know if that’s the intent, but… anything at the head, you don’t do that.”

It’s a common and reasonable refrain among players. Just stay away from the head when throwing a hard object upwards of 95-plus miles per hour. Mariners pitcher Erik Swanson said the pitch just got away from him.

Regardless, it seems to have carried over into Sunday.

Angels starter Andrew Wantz buzzed the tower of Mariners’ star rookie Julio Rodriguez in the first.

Next inning, Wantz hit Jesse Winker with a pitch. It looked like Winker might take his base but someone from the Angels’ dugout got his attention and then, it was on. Winker appeared to be arguing with Phil Nevin, the interim Angels manager. Winker and Mariners shortstop JP Crawford both threw punches during the benches-clearing brawl. Take a look:

As the umpires were attempting to sort things out, Angels closer Raisel Iglesias then decided to throw a container of sunflower seeds on the field, and it started things back up for a second.

Expect suspensions, as there were several players who could be seen noticeably throwing multiple punches in that fracas. When the dust settled, the umpires ejected: Nevin, Winker, Crawford, Rodriguez, Iglesias, Wantz, Angels reliever Ryan Tepera and Mariners manager Scott Servais.

This is the eighth game in the last 11 days between the two teams. The Angels won four of five last week, but the Mariners have taken the first three games of this series.

EasyJet passenger shoves girlfriend, punches airport worker

Wild video shows a drunken British vacationer shoving his girlfriend to the floor and slugging a security worker at an airport in England after he was banned from a flight, according to reports.

The viral, 19-second clip captures the moment the would-be EasyJet passenger violently pushed his gal pal down and punched an airline employee after the flier wasn’t allowed on a flight from Bristol Airport to Alicante, Spain, because he was intoxicated, reports said.

The girlfriend is first seen lifting her arms while screaming at an airport employee.

Her unidentified boyfriend then runs at the worker, knocking him to the ground, as onlookers gasped.

Police told BristolLive that the 39-year-old man and 37-year-old woman were arrested for assault.

A rep for the Somerset Police said the incident took place at 9:30 p.m. on June 17.

Witness Steve Rich, 33, told the local outlet, “All of a sudden, the passenger just threw a fist over one of the guy’s shoulders and just caught the security guard on the mouth.”

Rich of Wiltshire called the incident “unnecessary” and said it caused those who saw it to become upset.

“The two girls who were working at the [gate] were in floods of tears because it’s scary for them,” he said.

“Before the security arrived, you’ve got these two people saying, ‘How are you going to stop us getting through to get on this flight?’ … There were kids everywhere.”

A representative for Bristol Airport told the news outlet, “Anti-social, violent or threatening behavior will not be accepted by Bristol Airport or airlines.

“Whilst such incidents are rare, we take them very seriously and will fully support any police investigation.”

Man punches Southwest employee at Atlanta airport, police say

Social media video of the incident shows Courtney Drummond shouting as he approaches a counter, and punching an employee. The video also shows several employees intervening.

In a statement, the Atlanta Police Department said Drummond refused to comply with flight attendants as a Southwest flight was being taxied from the gate to the tarmac.

Police said Drummond was asked to leave the flight after the plane was forced to return to the gate due to his “aggressive behavior.”

“After Mr. Drummond was escorted off of the plane, he threatened a Southwest Gate agent several times and ultimately assaulted him,” police said.

Drummond was arrested on charges of simple battery, battery, and obstruction, and was taken to the Clayton County Jail.

“Southwest Airlines has zero tolerance for any type of assault against our Employees or Customers,” the statement said. “As a result of this inexcusable attack, the individual has been banned from flying with Southwest Airlines,” Southwest Airlines said in a statement.

Southwest Airlines also commended the actions of their employees “who responded to protect their colleagues during this unacceptable event,” and thanked law enforcement for their response.

Drummond’s mother, Gwendolyn Foster, confirmed to CNN her son is still in custody in Georgia, and apologized for the incident.

“My heart goes out to everyone, the staff at Southwest — they are in my prayers. I’m sorry this happened and this was caused by him,” Foster said. “He comes from a godly family. My husband is a pastor of a church here.”

Foster said the family is sorry and “very hurt” by the incident.

“I pray in due time that God will heal all wounds and let’s move forward and continue to love each other as God loves us,” Foster said.

According to the Clayton County Jail log, Drummond is being held on three charges, and his bonds equal $10,000 with $1,600 in fees.

Jordanian lawmakers trade punches in Parliament amid heated discussion on women’s rights

Video of the event shows a handful of lawmakers in a physical altercation, fighting and hurling threats and insults at each other. Even the speaker of Parliament resorted to angry outbursts to manage the commotion.

The fight broke out between conservative lawmakers Hassan Riati and Shadi Udwan after insults were exchanged and blasphemous remarks were made, according a source who saw events unfold first-hand. Several other MPs subsequently got caught up in the pushing and shoving.

The fracas unfolded as lawmakers were preparing to debate a change to the constitution to address Jordanian citizens in both the feminine and masculine tense. Jordanian women currently enjoy equal rights with respect to their entitlement to health care, education, political participation and employment, but are not afforded the same rights when it comes to nationality and citizenship as men. For example, women cannot pass on their nationality to children or spouses — but men can.

The proposed amendment, part of a series of changes backed by King Abdullah II aimed at modernizing Jordan, was met with fierce opposition from conservative parliamentarians who view the change with disdain. One of those parliamentarians, Mohammad Al Fayez, said the proposed changes were ultimately “against morality and motherhood.”

Parliamentary proceedings were stopped after several lawmakers began yelling at lawmaker Abdulmunim Oddat, who was trying to defend the amendment by arguing it adds no new provisions to the constitution and was only meant to create “linguistic equality.”

Reem Abu Hassan, an attorney who served on a royal committee tasked with modernizing the constitution, told CNN that the language in the current constitution reflects the norms of written Arabic in the 1950s, when groups of people were referred to by masculine terms.

“We thought that it was time that the constitution of the country should refer to a woman in a very clear manner,” she said.

Abu Hassan explained that while some lawmakers fear the amendment will override the terms of inheritance or citizenship law, the main objective of the amendment is to ensure that women have a more active role in public life. Inheritance laws in the country, which are based on Sharia law, often sees a man’s share double that of a woman’s.

Gender equality is a contentious topic among social conservatives in Jordan, who have long resisted granting equal rights to women.

Salma Nims, secretary-general of the Jordanian National Commission for Women, told CNN that Jordan’s extreme right-wing and Islamic movements equate the fight for women’s equality as a stain on women’s morality and open the door to further freedoms.

“To them, equality of women means women will get to enjoy freedom over their bodies, and that changes the morality of society and the unity of the family,” Nims said.

“Every time the women’s movement gets closer to achieving something, closer to living in dignity in this country there is a fear coming from the patriarchal system that this will mean a change in the power relations within society,” she said.
