Britney Spears was reportedly left “annoyed” that a cop was forced to perform a wellness check on her after worried fans dialed 911.

The “Toxic” singer sparked concern Wednesday after she deactivated her Instagram account without warning — prompting diehard fans to call the police.

Sources told TMZ that the singer was vexed at the unexpected visit, dubbing it an “inconvenience.”

“I can confirm that we did get calls into our dispatch, and essentially, I can confirm that we don’t believe that Britney Spears is in any kind of harm or any kind of danger,” a spokesperson for the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to Page Six on Wednesday.

It’s not known how many calls officers received relating to the singer, 41.

“I was calling because I am worried about the physical safety of a resident in your area,” one of the callers, who identified herself as “Christina,” can be heard saying in the now-deleted video.

When asked for a reason behind the request, the fan can be heard telling the officer that “there’s been suspicious activity online and now her account has been deleted.”

It’s far from the first time Spears has deleted her Instagram in recent years.

A source previously told Page Six exclusively that the mom of two likes to take breaks from social media platforms every so often.

Just days before deleting her Instagram account this week, the “Gimme More” hitmaker shared a lengthy post highlighting some unpleasant challenges.

After some fans speculated that her recent quarrel with husband Sam Asghari was the reason behind her recent posts, he was quick to shut down the speculation.

“Sucks to be me,” she wrote, in part, before adding, “Giving someone I love my everything only gives me the dagger in my heart !!!”

While the reason for the cryptic caption remains unclear, some fans speculated that it could be about her recent quarrel with her husband Sam Asghari after he walked out on the “Piece of Me” singer during a meal as fans were invading their privacy.

However, Asghari was quick to put an end to the rumbles, Writing on his Instagram Story, “Don’t believe what you read online people.”

Britney Spears not in danger, police say after wellness check calls

Britney Spears is not in any kind of danger, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to Page Six on Wednesday after concerned fans asked the department for a wellness check.

“I can confirm that we did get calls into our dispatch, and essentially, I can confirm that we don’t believe that Britney Spears is in any kind of harm or any kind of danger,” a police spokesperson said.

The officer did not disclose just how many calls they received and said they would not reveal whether they made direct contact with Spears, 41, or how they knew she was fine.

The police spokesperson explained their reason for providing minimal details was due to the fact that any more transparency was a “public trust issue.”

“It’s just a privacy thing for the residents in our county,” the officer said. “It’s a public trust issue. We just don’t disclose those kinds of things [such as wellness checks]. It’s not a crime.”

Police would not confirm how they knew Spears was doing OK.

“We don’t really talk about any kind of mental health issues or anything like that,” he added before reiterating, “I can’t confirm or deny that deputies went to her house, but we don’t believe that Britney Spears is in any kind of harm or danger at this point.”

Some of the worried fans who made the calls to police took to TikTok Tuesday to livestream the wellness check requests.

“I was calling because I am worried about the physical safety of a resident in your area,” one of the callers, who identified herself as “Christina,” can be heard saying in the clip.

When the officer asked why the fan wanted a wellness check, “Christina” responded, “There’s been suspicious activity online and now her account has been deleted.”

Fans said they were concerned about Spears due to “suspicious activity online.”

Spears has deleted her Instagram multiple times in recent years, and although the reason for her latest hiatus is unclear, a source previously told Page Six exclusively that the “Stronger” singer just likes to take social media breaks every now and then.

“She’s happy and in a great place,” the source said in September 2021, adding, “and silence can be a powerful thing and a powerful message.”

The insider also affirmed at the time, “This was her decision.”

Spears wrote “sucks to be me” prior to her most recent social media break.

Prior to Spears’ most recent Instagram shutdown, the “Hold Me Closer” singer posted a photo of a car and a lengthy caption, in which she spoke about a variety of things, but most notably wrote, “sucks to be me” and “Giving someone I love my everything only gives me the dagger in my heart !!!”

People speculated that perhaps this message was alluding to marital strife since a recent report claimed Spears’ husband, Sam Asghari, walked out on the “Piece of Me” singer while they were dining at a restaurant and fans were invading their privacy.

However, the “Family Business” actor quickly shut down those allegations, writing on his Instagram Stories, “Don’t believe what you read online people.”

Reps for Spears did not immediately return Page Six’s request for comment on the wellness checks.

Mom of missing Madalina Cojocari believes husband ‘put her family in danger’

The mother of missing North Carolina sixth-grader Madalina Cojocari told cops she “believed her husband put her family in danger” — and that he fled their home after a fight on the night she last saw her daughter, according to court documents.

The starling accusations emerged Wednesday as police descended again to search the family’s home in Cornelius — where officers previously found an area blocked off with plywood, according to WCNC.

It also came as the FBI and local cops released a handwritten statement from the 11-year-old schoolgirl’s family saying they were “devastated and absolutely heartbroken” and “desperate to find her.”

“We love Madalina and are shocked by these circumstances. This is something no child or family should ever have to endure,” the letter said of the “beautiful, smart, kind and loving 11-year-old girl with greatness in her future.”

The family did not identify who was behind the statement. Madalina’s mother Diana Cojocari, 37, and stepfather, Christopher Palmiter, 60, have both been charged with failing to report her missing for at least 22 days.

During police interviews, Cojocari told detectives that on Nov. 23 — the same night she last saw her daughter — she’d argued with her husband, according to an affidavit obtained by Queen City News.

Palmiter then drove off to be with family in Michigan, which is at least 550 miles and a nine-hour trip from their North Carolina home.

The mom said she saw her daughter going to her room at 10 p.m. that night, the report said, without elaborating on whether it was before or after Palmiter had left and the fight ended.

It was more than 12 hours later, on Thanksgiving morning, that she realized her daughter was not home, she reportedly told cops.

She waited three days before telling Palmiter that his stepdaughter was missing — and weeks more before admitting to Madalina’s school that she did not know where the sixth- grader was.

When questioned, Cojocari told a detective that she “believed her husband put her family in danger” — and that she delayed reporting her daughter missing over fears it would damage her marriage.

The affidavit did not elaborate on why she felt endangered, or if it was directly related to Madalina’s disappearance, the outlet noted.

The mom also admitted ignoring pleas from relatives in her native Moldova to call the police, the report said, without stating if it was to report her husband, her missing daughter or both.

Despite her claims, Cojocari insisted in police interviews that she had no idea where her daughter was, stressing that she had no friends or family in the area that she might be staying with, the outlets said.

Boats search the lake near the family’s home.

Police are still looking for the child.

Earlier this week, the FBI released video footage of Madalina getting off a school bus on Nov. 21, stressing that it was the last confirmed sighting of her, two days before her mom claims she last saw her.

The FBI said it hoped the video would spark witnesses “outside of the family” who could “narrow down the exact timeline of when she disappeared.”

Local cops have also asked locals to “flood the area” with photos showing “her precious face.”

Cops warn killer of University of Idaho students may strike again

Much maligned Idaho cops — under pressure to find the killer who murdered four college kids last month — warned locals and visitors to be careful Saturday as winter commencement festivities got underway.

Authorities cautioned those in the area to stay vigilant and travel in groups during the celebration because the killer is still on the loose, the Daily Mail reported.

“With commencement this weekend, there will be an influx of people coming in from out of town. Moscow Police Department and Idaho State Police will provide coverage on campus and in the Moscow area,” police said in a statement.

“As always, we want to remind the public to stay vigilant, travel in groups, and communicate with family and friends as you travel.”

Police Chief James Fry said more officers are being deployed in the streets and at the university for the event — but has not announced any real information that would indicate the cops are closing in on a suspect.

Moscow police said on Saturday morning that they had more than 10 investigators looking into the murders and that nearly 50 FBI agents are working to crack the case, including a number in Moscow itself.

“We’re working steady on the investigation still,” said Fry. “We’re still pushing forward.”

Kaylee Goncalves, 21, Madison Mogen, 21, Xana Kernodle, 20, and Ethan Chapin, 20, were killed in the early morning hours of Nov. 13 in a home not far from the school campus.

After nearly a month, the case remains a mystery with police and the FBI announcing no suspects or profile of the possible killer.

Oklahoma men found dead in river were ‘chopped in half’: victim’s mother

The four Oklahoma men whose dismembered bodies were found in a river were severed in half, a mother of one the victims said.

“My son and his friends were first shot multiple times, chopped in half at their waist and then thrown into the Deep Fork River to rot away,” Teresa Stevens, mother of Alex Stevens, told the Daily Mail.

Alex Stevens, 29, left for a bike ride with Mark Chastain, 32, his brother Billy Chastain, 30 and Mike Sparks, 32 on Oct. 9. The four were then reported missing when they didn’t return home that evening.

The bodies of the men appeared on Deep Fork River’s surface five days after their disappearance.
News on 6

Only two of the men left with cell phones, and both went straight to voicemail following their departure. Their bodies were found on the surface of Deep Fork River five days later.

Okmulgee police told the grieving mother that the killer or killers had “chopped off one of their arms,” Stevens said.

“It’s something you read about on the news, about what they did to my son and his friends,” said Stevens. “To chop a body in half is what the drug cartels do to the dead. Whoever did this clearly wanted to send a message.”

Billy Chastain was one of the four men who never returned from a bike ride.

Mike Sparks was reported missing later the day he disappeared.

The gruesome details of the murder lead Stevens to believe that there was more than one murderer, or least an accomplice to help with the disturbing killings.

“For one person to kill four grown men, chop their bodies up, and dump them in a river…I just can’t see one person doing all of that,” she said. “Whoever did this had to have help.”

Police named convicted felon Joe Kennedy a person of interest after officers found evidence of a “violent event” that occurred at a scrapyard he owned in the Okmulgee area. One of the victims’ phones last pinged in the salvage yard before going dead, police said.

Alex Stevens ran out of minutes and thus took a bike trip without his phone.

Mark Stevens and the other men may have left to commit a crime.

Stevens said she doesn’t know Kennedy personally, and doesn’t believe her son did either, but isn’t surprised he is potentially involved in the case.

“I’ve heard about him around town and from what I’ve heard he’s a person of questionable character,” Stevens said.

Stevens was the one to report her son missing Oct. 9 when he didn’t show up to his shift at 11 p.m. that night at a healthcare facility they both work at. The two typically carpool together since Alex doesn’t own a car and it’s out of character for her son to miss work, she said.

Joe Kennedy was taken in by police for questioning.

She couldn’t reach him on his cell phone either because he had “run out of minutes,” which is why he didn’t bring it on the bike trip.

Police believe the men had left to commit a crime, though aren’t sure what the foursome had planned.

“Even if they were up there at the salvage yard up to no good or drugs were involved, no one deserved to die,” Stevens said.

Arizona cops stand by while man drowns, begs for help: bodycam

A man drowned to death in an Arizona lake as police officers stood by and allegedly ignored his pleas for help, according to a bodycam transcript of the interaction.

Police officers were responding to a reported disturbance between a couple near the Elmore Pedestrian Bridge in Tempe on May 28 when one of the people jumped into the lake, the local station News 12 reported.

Sean Bickings, 34, and his partner denied that any physical altercation had occurred when officers arrived just after 5 a.m.

The officers then told the couple that they were running their names to check if either had any outstanding arrest warrants when Bickings climbed over a four-foot fence towards the water and dove in, bodycam footage obtained by News 12 shows.

“I’m gonna go for a swim,” Bickings said in the video. “I’m free to go right?”

The cops told Bickings that he was not allowed to swim in the lake as they stood on the other side of the fence.

Bickings can be seen taking a few strokes out from the shore as one officer asks the others “How far do you think he is going to be able to swim?” before the video ends.

Tempe police didn’t release the entire video of the incident because they said the drowning itself was too sensitive, according to News12, and instead provided a transcript of the footage.

Sean Bickings climbed over the Elmore Pedestrian Bridge and jumped into the water.

In the transcript, Bickings tells the officers he’s drowning and they tell him to swim over to the pylon and grab ahold of it to keep himself afloat.

“I’m drowning,” he said.

“Come back over to the pylon,” one officer responded.

“I can’t. I can’t,” Bickings said.

“Okay, I’m not jumping in after you,” the other officer said.

“Please help me. Please, please, please,” Bickings begged. “I can’t touch. Oh God, Please help me. Help me.”

Bickings’ partner also pleads with the officers to do something to help him.

“I’m just distraught because he’s drowning right in front of you and you won’t help,” she said.

One of the officers threatens to put her in his police car if she didn’t calm down, according to the transcript.

The woman replies that she was trying to calm herself but was getting emotional because she loved Bickings and cared deeply about him.

At least one officer attempted to get a boat to rescue Bickings, but it was too late.

Bickings went under the water’s surface and drowned.

It’s unclear how much time passed between him entering the water and drowning. His body was recovered from the lake hours later at 11:20 a.m.

Scottsdale police and the department of public safety are investigating the incident and police response.

The three police officers who responded to the disturbance call and witnessed the drowning have been placed on paid administrative leave pending the investigation, according to News12.

Kanye West under investigation for alleged battery

Kanye West is under investigation for alleged criminal battery in Los Angeles, a spokeswoman for the LAPD confirmed to Page Six.

The “Donda” performer, 44, allegedly got into an argument that turned physical around 3 a.m. local time Thursday when a fan asked West for his autograph while he was sitting in his SUV outside of the private club Soho Warehouse, Fox 11 first reported.

West allegedly punched the fan, who fell to the ground, and the case is being investigated as misdemeanor battery, which carries a maximum jail sentence of six months.

Reps for West didn’t immediately return Page Six’s request for comment. The LAPD declined to provide details beyond confirming the investigation.

TMZ obtained a video of an apparent irate West, who could be heard yelling, “Did y’all say that or not? Did y’all say that or not?

“‘Cause that’s what happened right f–king now.”

As Page Six reported, West was with girlfriend Julia Fox and a variety of celebrities, including Evan Ross, Madonna and Antonio Brown, at restaurant-club Delilah Wednesday night.

The Yeezy designer allegedly punched a fan when asked for an autograph.

West and Fox, 31, were photographed making out as she walked the Yeezy designer to his SUV, as he ended up leaving Delilah while she stayed behind at the hotspot.

The “Stronger” rapper, who is in the midst of a divorce from Kim Kardashian, has been in LA for at least a week, hitting up various sceney restaurants alongside Fox and Brown, 33, and even grabbing dinner with Jared Kushner.

“It was a purely private dinner,” an insider exclusively told us of West and Kushner’s night out. “No business agenda.”
