American Pickers’ Frank Fritz Hospitalized After Suffering Stroke, Says Former Costar Mike Wolfe

Frank Fritz is in the hospital after suffering a stroke, his American Pickers co-host Mike Wolfe revealed Thursday.
In an Instagram post, Wolfe, 58, wrote alongside a photo of Fritz, 56, smiling: “I have been very private in the past year in regards to Frank’s life and the journey he’s been on. There has been lots of opinions in regards to mine and Frank’s friendship and the show but now is not the time to set the record straight. Now is the time to pray for my friend.”
“Frank has suffered a stroke and is in the hospital. Please keep him in your hearts and thoughts,” he continued.
Ending with a sentimental message for Fritz, Wolfe wrote, “Frank I pray more than anything that you make it through this okay. I love you buddy.”

Fritz and Wolfe have been open about the ups and downs of their friendship. The two previously starred in The History Channel’s reality series American Pickers, which first debuted in 2010. The popular show followed Wolfe and Fritz as they traveled across the country and “earn a living by restoring forgotten relics to their former glory, transforming one person’s trash into another’s treasure,” according to History.com.
Last July, Fritz told The Sun that he left the show and was no longer in contact with Wolfe. A rep for The History Channel confirmed Fritz’s departure to PEOPLE at the time.

“I haven’t talked to Mike in two years,” Fritz told the outlet. “He knew my back was messed up, but he didn’t call me up and ask how I was doing. That’s just how it is.”
In a statement shared with PEOPLE, Wolfe, said he will miss his former co-host.
“I have known Frank for as long as I can remember, he’s been like a brother to me,” his statement said. “The journey that Frank, Dani (Danielle) and I started back in 2009, like all of life, has come with its highs and lows, blessings and challenges, but it has also been the most rewarding. I will miss Frank, just like all of you, and I pray for the very best and all good things for him on the next part of his journey.”

Fritz later told The Sun that he had recently checked into rehab after struggling with alcohol addiction, and was later fired from American Pickers.

His last appearance was in March 2020 as he went on hiatus after undergoing back surgery before being let go.

‘American Pickers’ Former Costar Frank Fritz Hospitalized With Stroke – Deadline
Frank Fritz, who was long a part of the team that made American Pickers a reality show hit, has been hospitalized with a stroke, according to his former partner, Mike Wolfe.
Wolfe shared the news Thursday on Instagram, saying “Now is the time to pray for my friend. Frank has suffered a stroke and is in the hospital. Please keep him in your hearts and thoughts.”
He added, “I pray more than anything that you make it through this okay. I love you buddy.”
The sentiments mark a turnaround in relations between the former partners. The two were apparently feuding earlier this year. Fritz reacted to statement by Wolfe on Fritz’s exit from the reality series, slamming them and claiming he was “fed up with past lies.” Fritz did not appeared in the show’s latest season.
When news first started breaking about Fritz no longer appearing on the show, Wolfe posted on Instagram about Fritz. He said he would “miss” him and would “pray for the very best and all good things for him on the next part of his journey.

Fritz had been the cohost for the show since it began in Jan. 2010, Fritz’s last episode on the antiquing road show aired in March 2020, but he didn’t return when the show emerged from its pandemic-imposed production hiatus.

‘American Pickers’ Star Mike Wolfe Dating Leticia Cline After Divorce
“American Pickers” star Michael Wolfe is already off the market … he’s got himself a hot new girlfriend on the heels of his wife filing for divorce.
Sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ … Mike’s dating a model named Leticia Cline. She’s a bit of a reality TV star herself, having appeared on the old WB dating show “Beauty and The Geek.”
It’s unclear how long they’ve been dating and how they met, but we’re told the relationship is “pretty serious.”

Mike and Leticia have been hanging out since at least April, when they were spotted together at a printing shop in Norfolk, VA, where she customized a jacket.
Our sources also say Leticia’s been accompanying Mike on ‘Pickers’ shoots, including one at the end of June in San Francisco, and another this week at a different California location.
TMZ broke the story … Jodi Catherine Wolfe filed for divorce back in November after nearly 10 years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences. She says they separated in June 2020 — so, Mike’s wasting no time getting back on the horse.
It appears Mike and Leticia have known each other for a few years … back in early 2018, she posted a photo of them together.
In addition to her reality TV background, Leticia’s also appeared in “Playboy” and “Maxim” … and once went on Howard Stern‘s radio show and rode his Sybian vibrator in the nude.
Yep, Mike knows how to pick ’em … and not just on his TV show.
