Nicole Kidman has cemented her status as a couture fashion icon following the release of an edgy new cover shoot for Perfect magazine.

Looking decades younger than her 55 years, the Oscar winner showcased her chiselled abs and bulging biceps in a micro mini skirt and halterneck top by Diesel.

The Australian actress could have been mistaken for a woman half her age as she posed confidently with her muscular legs astride and arms flexed.

Pouting as she stared down the camera, Nicole completed her look with a long red wig with quirky blunt bangs framing her jawline.

The cover photo was one of a series of avant-garde images taken by photographer Zhong Lin for the third issue of Perfect magazine, which celebrates pop culture’s greatest icons. 

It comes just months after The Hours actress raised eyebrows by baring her torso in a Miu Miu micro skirt and crop top on the cover of Vanity Fair’s February issue. 

The cover photo was one of a series of avant-garde images taken by photographer Zhong Lin for the third issue of Perfect magazine, which celebrates pop culture’s greatest icons 

Social media trolls panned the image, accusing the magazine of Photoshopping Nicole’s physique and complexion. 

Others claimed the photo shoot was too raunchy for a woman of Nicole’s age and professional stature.  

Speaking in conversation with Baz Luhrmann for Vogue Australia’s June issue, Nicole revealed she’d actually ‘begged’ magazine stylist Katie Grand to let her wear the fashion house’s pleated mini low-rise skirt.

It comes just months after The Hours actress raised eyebrows by baring her torso in a Miu Miu micro skirt and crop top on the cover of Vanity Fair’s February issue (pictured) 

Nicole explained another outfit had been picked out for her, but she’d insisted on wearing the barely there number.

‘I was like, “No, no, I like this one! Am I allowed to wear that?”‘ she recalled, adding that Ms Grand had to ask whether she was serious.

Nicole continued: ‘Katie was like, “You’re willing to wear that?!” And I said, “Wear it?! I’m begging you to wear it!”‘

Bray Wyatt’s name has also been discussed since Triple H took over. We end the latest rumor roundup with a comprehensive report on the former Universal Champion’s status.


#1. WWE’s plans for Roman Reigns vs. Karrion Kross

Karrion Kross’ reintroduction on WWE TV has given Roman Reigns another credible title challenger to worry about on SmackDown.

Kross has been positioned as the #2 heel on the brand behind Reigns, and they are expected to clash in the future. However, the long-awaited match might not happen until Survivor Series, as Dave Meltzer revealed in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

It was stated that if WWE decides to go ahead with Kross vs. Reigns, it will most likely feature on TV or the Survivor Series card. Here’s an excerpt:

”Reigns is not booked on Extreme Rules in Philadelphia at this point. If they go with Reigns vs. Kross, as things stand right now, it would either be TV or the earliest would be Survivor Series barring the weekly circumstances involved in wrestling,” said Meltzer.

The Tribal Chief is not slated to compete at Extreme Rules in October and could only be available for Survivor Series in November.

At Clash at the Castle, Reigns will defend his title against Drew McIntyre. However, the showdown could witness another significant return, as Drew McIntyre recently teased!


#2. Details of backstage issues between Bray Wyatt and Vince McMahon

Bray Wyatt was among the most established stars on the roster before his exit. However, his deteriorating relationship with Vince McMahon might have led to his unfortunate downfall in the company.

Fightful Select reports that Vince McMahon “was simply done” with Bray Wyatt before he was released in 2021. A talent close to the situation said that it reached a point where Vince McMahon personally disliked Bray Wyatt.

Rumors also state that Vince McMahon would often scream derogatory things directly at Bray Wyatt regarding the superstar’s physique. The locker room believes that McMahon’s disrespectful comments were in response to Bray Wyatt’s criticism over a lack of creative direction for his stories and character.

Shortly after Bray Wyatt was let go, speculation about his alleged “bad attitude” began surfacing online, which apparently originated from people in Vince McMahon’s inner circle.

The company might have done it to shed the heat from releasing a prominent name like Wyatt, because talent who worked with Bray Wyatt shot down rumors about his attitude as he was always considered a great co-worker.

McMahon was never in favor of getting Wyatt back as the former CEO “had reservations” whenever the superstar’s name came up in recent months. During his time in WWE, Bray Wyatt was vocal about his creative frustrations, and Vince McMahon saw it as the wrestler “being difficult to deal with.”


#3. Could Bray Wyatt return under Triple H’s regime?

Now, all roads seemingly lead to Bray Wyatt’s WWE return. However, how is Wyatt’s relationship with the new boss, Triple H?

Fightful referred to it as a “clean state” and stated that Triple H is willing to work with anyone who can add value. The belief is that Triple H will overlook all the issues Vince McMahon had with Bray Wyatt and try to book him better if he chooses to return.

While Bray Wyatt is one of the most well-known former stars being discussed for a comeback, RingSideNews reported that there had been no confirmed talks this far. However, the creative team were informed about Wyatt and the possibility of him re-signing with the promotion.

“His name was mentioned to certain creative team members as advance notice that there may or may not be discussions going on, and that the rumor mill is churning about it. It was nether a confirmation or a denial of discussions.”

Bray Wyatt’s name has been pitched internally for a return, and going by Triple H’s recent spree of signings, you could safely bet on the Eater of Worlds’ reappearance.

A Physique Coach Shared His Simple ‘Do Nothing’ Fat Loss Advice

Professional bodybuilder and fitness coach Paul Revelia regularly shares advice for fat loss on his YouTube channel informed by his own experiences of getting ready for competitive physique shows, and in a new video, he explains the “do nothing” approach for cutting body fat that he uses with some of his clients.

“Weight loss is more complex than ‘move more, eat less,'” he says. “Yes, all weight loss is derived from a caloric deficit, but what is a caloric deficit?”

He goes on to explain that knowing your basal metabolic rate (BMR) can be an incredibly useful tool if your goal is to lose fat. The BMR is the number of calories your body naturally burns through its ordinary functions each day, outside of any extra physical exercise. BMR calculators are available online, and once you have that number, it’s easier to figure out what kind of realistic caloric deficit to introduce to your diet so that you can essentially lose weight without needing to up your physical activity.

“Your basal metabolic rate will actually decrease as you lose body fat, because your body doesn’t require as much energy to run,” says Revelia. “It’s like driving a car down a highway and you’ve got a trailer attached to it… If you drop the thousand-pound trailer, your car is going to be efficient and require less fuel to run.”

He also points out that as you continue in your caloric deficit and your BMR drops, you may find yourself feeling more tired and your body will burn fewer calories to try to conserve energy. This is called mitochondrial efficiency, where the body becomes more effective at everyday movement.

When you hit this sticking point, a common tactic is to add more cardio to your routine and drop some extra calories, but Revelia believes you’ll see diminishing returns here. His advice is to introduce a “diet break” instead: as your BMR comes down, temporarily up the number of calories you’re consuming, and increase energy expenditure through exercise.

“As much as most people want to go straight for the goal… the results that I see for people that take these diet breaks have been life-changing,” he says, “because when we get to our goal weight, we haven’t been dieting so hard for so long that we’re basically in the crapper… My competitors get down to stage weight and can actually stay there with their calories up close to what they were before they started the diet.”

A Physique Coach Shares the ‘Absolute Best’ Cardio for Fat Loss

Physique coach Paul Revelia regularly creates content on how he uses steady-state cardio to aid fat loss. In a new video with strength and conditioning coach Stephen Beaugrand, Revelia takes a look at the pros and cons of low intensity (LISS), moderate intensity (MISS), and high intensity (HIIT) cardio.

In terms of the time you’re taking to work out, HIIT has a clear advantage, as you’ll be burning a higher number of calories in a shorter window than you would be during a lower-intensity session. However, this also requires a higher skill level, explains Beaugrand. “If you’re doing sprints, you need to be at least good enough to be able to do that in all-out intensity,” he says, “whereas in lower or moderate intensity, we don’t need a lot of skill for that, we can do something like walking, riding our bike, going out for a hike.”

Recovery is another factor that Revelia and Beaugrand consider. “If you’re only doing a 20 minute workout every day, and the rest of your day is sedentary at your desk, you’re probably going to be fine with HIIT cardio as you have plenty of time for recovery and you’re not going to negatively impact the rest of your day,” says Revelia. “However, if your primary goal is bodybuilding or a combat sport, does HIIT cardio make sense? It’s all about looking at your overall schedule and overall goals.”

Something else which they acknowledge is the so-called interference effect, in other words, the idea that the more cardio you do, the more it negatively impacts your ability as a strength athlete. “If we’re doing a significant amount of steady-state cardio, we’re creating this adaptation response where our body wants to be good at cardio,” says Beaugrand. “Being good at cardio and being a good bodybuilder don’t necessarily go hand in hand.”

Ultimately, though, the best cardio is the one you don’t hate. “Find what you absolutely love,” says Revelia. “It’s got to come from a place of enjoyment.”

A Physique Coach Shared Some Simple Advice to Lose Belly Fat

In a new video on his YouTube channel, bodybuilder and physique coach Paul Revelia shares some simple advice for losing belly fat which he believes can be useful whether you’re a bodybuilder in a cut, or at the very start of your journey.

Firstly, he suggests using an app to track what you’re eating. “I wouldn’t recommend making any changes right away; in fact, do the opposite,” he says. “Go about your normal day, just start being accountable.” The commonly accepted wisdom is to eat a gram of protein per pound of your body weight. Revelia, on the other hand, believes you should be eating a gram of protein per pound of your goal weight.

His second tip is to start increasing your levels of physical activity each day. “This accountability for activity is going to be what drives the changes in your body,” he says. “Look at the calories going in, look at the activity. The focus should be on making sure that those calories are in a nice range, so you can actually move enough to lose body fat.”

“What it ultimately comes down to is finding something you enjoy, and creating that energy deficit. If it helps you to think that while you’re walking, you’re burning fat, great,” he continues. “A lot is said for doing hanging leg raises and crunches, and while they’re great for building those muscles in the rectus abdominis, the only thing that’s going to reveal them is if we lose this layer of belly fat.”

Finally, as an extra way of tracking your progress and staying accountable, Revelia recommends taking regular pictures: “Even if you don’t want to show other people, you will see the changes that are happening in your body.”
