2023 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am odds, picks: Proven golf model reveals projected leaderboard, surprising predictions

The 2022-23 PGA Tour season continues this week with a trip to California for the 2023 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Play gets underway from a trio of course on Thursday, Feb. 2. Jordan Spieth, a 13-time PGA Tour champion, is listed as the 9-1 favorite according to the latest 2023 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am odds. He’s followed by Viktor Hovland (10-1), Matt Fitzpatrick (10-1), Maverick McNealy (16-1) and Tom Hoge (17-1) on the PGA odds board.

We simulated the 2023 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am 10,000 times, and there are some MAJOR surprises.

Our proprietary model, built by DFS pro Mike McClure, has been RED-HOT since the PGA Tour resumed in June of 2020. In fact, the model is up over $8,600 on its best bets since the restart, nailing tournament after tournament.

McClure’s model predicted Jon Rahm to finish on top of the leaderboard at the 2023 Sentry Tournament of Champions and The American Express. The model also included J.T. Poston in its best bets to win the 2022 John Deere Classic. That bet hit at +5500, and for the entire tournament, McClure’s best bets returned almost $1,100. At the 2022 Masters, McClure’s model was all over Scottie Scheffler’s first career major championship victory heading into the weekend.

In addition, McClure’s best bets included Collin Morikawa winning outright at the 2021 Open Championship, even though he was listed as a massive 40-1 longshot. The model was also all over Rahm’s (10-1) first career major championship victory at the 2021 U.S. Open. Rahm was two strokes off the lead heading into the weekend, but the model still projected him as the winner.

This same model has also nailed a whopping eight majors entering the weekend! Anyone who has followed it has seen MASSIVE returns!

One major surprise the model is calling for at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am 2023: Hoge, the defending champion and one of the favorites at 17-1, stumbles this week and doesn’t even crack the top-five. Another surprise: Keith Mitchell, a 31-1 longshot, makes a strong run at the title. He’s a target for anyone looking for a HUGE payday!

Also, the model is targeting THREE other golfers with odds of 24-1 or longer who will make a STRONG run at the title, including a massive 48-1 longshot who makes a strong run! Anyone who backs these golfers could hit it BIG. You ABSOLUTELY need to see who they are before locking in any 2023 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am picks!

So who wins the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am 2023? And which HUGE longshots make a serious run at the title? … Join SportsLine right now to see who you can bank on to win the 2023 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, and see which longshots make a run at the title, all from the model that’s nailed 8 majors!

Mr Beast Extreme Survival Challenge Fortnite leaderboard

Fortnite is one of the most popular live-service games in the world right now thanks to its inclusion of popular creators and brands from the real world. It surprised many earlier this month when it was announced that MrBeast would be getting his own competition, but not in Competitive, instead in the Creative mode. What’s even more, is that the prize for winning is a cool million dollars.

With tens of thousands of users participating in the competition, many are curious about how far their scores are from the top. Here’s all the information you need to know about the current leaderboard for MrBeast’s Extreme Survival Challenge in Fortnite.

Who’s winning the MrBeast competition in Fortnite?

According to FortniteTracker, a tool that compiles data across all of Fortnite‘s modes, here are the top 10 competitors of Mr. Beast’s Extreme Survival Challenge as of 2.07pm CT.

Rank Player Points Matches Wins Avg. Place
1 Anas 142,099 14 10 1.86
2 De_Tibbe 140,598 17 10 2.76

4 favs 139,770 20 11 4.5
5 MrKeroro10 L2R2 139,667 13 12 2

9 ALTAIR 137,573 12 8 3.33
10 GONNE.EXE 137,424 15 11 2.07

The player that’s currently winning is GUILD Anas, a player also known for his skills in other Competitive game modes. It was unclear if he’ll be able to keep the lead though, with fewer than 5,000 points separating himself from the second and third-place competitors. However, with the competition now at an end, it seems Anas may have won.

Fortnite Competitive also tweeted out that players who want to earn the umbrella will need around 83,000 Score at least to earn the Mr. Beast Umbrella.

An Actor Catapults To Top Of The Leaderboard – Deadline

Everyone was in the Halloween spirit this week on Dancing With the Stars.

Not only did the contestants give some of their spookiest performances, but even the judges got into the holiday, dressing in their best costumes as they doled out healthy doses of praise and critique for each of the remaining nine couples.

And it wouldn’t be Halloween without resident trickster Sasha Farber trying to frighten the couples during rehearsal. He snuck up behind some during their interviews and dropped fake spiders into the rehearsal rooms, but the pranks fell mostly flat.

In addition to their individual routines, the couples also participated in two group performances to compete for extra points to keep them out of the bottom two.

Jordan Sparks and Brandon Armstrong. Praised for her “musicality” last week, the platinum singer’s goal going into Halloween night was to nail down the details and finally perfect her frame during her tango to “Oogie Boogie’s Song.” It seemed to pay off, as head judge Len Goodman told her that “sparks were flying” during the performance and complimented Armstrong for his choreography. Her technique still needs a little work, according to the judges, and the performance still wasn’t enough to earn her the 10s she’d been hoping for. Score: 35 out of 40.

Charli D’Amelio and Mark Ballas. Coming off of another week of perfect scores, the social media star was met with a bump in the road when Ballas told her he wouldn’t be able to rehearse with her due to pain in his lower back. Pasha Pashkov stepped in to take his place, and thankfully Ballas recovered in time to take to the ballroom floor for Monday night’s performance. Their Argentine tango inspired by vintage horror films earned the duo even more praise from the judges. “My head is spinning like Linda Blair from The Exorcist,” Bruno Tonioli said. Carrie Ann Inaba said she’s still looking for more intensity from the teen. Score: 39 out of 40.

Daniel Durant and Britt Stewart. The CODA star and his partner took a different approach to Halloween night, dancing a paso doble to Billie Eilish’s “bury a friend” as video game characters stuck in a zombie apocalypse. He was also thrown off his game after missing some rehearsal time due to illness, but somehow still pulled out one of his best performances of the season. “It still amazes me every time you get on this dance floor, as I’m sure it does everyone at home,” Inaba said. She and Goodman agreed they’d like to see Durant work on his form as the semi-finals approach. Score: 34 out of 40.

Shangela and Gleb Savchenko. After Len called her Michael Bublé night performance her “best of the season,” Shangela was prepared to shake things up again with her jazz routine to “Look What You Made Me Do” by Taylor Swift. Savchenko told his partner that this would be the “perfect opportunity” for her to show off her acting skills while also executing her technique. “You were in such a deep, dark, mommy dearest kind of place. I loved every minute of it,” Inaba said, adding that Shangela had successfully managed to one up her last performance. She hit the floor when she realized she’d earned a perfect score. Score: 50 out of 50

Vinny Guadagnino and Koko Iwasaki. The Jersey Shore star might be a fan favorite, but he received some pretty harsh criticism last week from the judges, who were not impressed with his cha cha on Michael Bublé night. Guadagnino hoped his bad guy paso doble might give him the confidence boost he needed to take give a cleaner performance, explaining he was “tired of being a good guy.” He did seem to step on the floor with much more assurance this week, but he still received some lukewarm comments from the judges. Goodman admitted it “wasn’t all bad,” but is wasn’t that great either. “I have zero dance experience,” Guadagnino said, telling host Alfonso Ribeiro that he’s a “work in progress.” Score: 30 out of 40

Heidi D’Amelio and Artem Chigvintsev. Mama D’Amelio is looking to be more “inventive” this week, as comparisons between her and her daughter continue to roll in week after week. “Charli and Mark have been very adventurous with their choreography,” she said. She and Chigvintsev danced a tango with an elastic band connecting them together for the first part of the performance — a risk that The D’Amelio Show star said could pay off or put them in the bottom two again. Well, it paid off for some and not for others. “Heidi, bondage becomes you!” Tonioli exclaimed. “You had this killer instinct in you tonight. I loved it.” Meanwhile, Goodman and Inaba think she’s in a plateau after giving a few “strong” performances in a row. Score: 37 out of 40

Gabby Windey and Alan Bersten. The former Bachelorette’s partner Val Chmerkovskiy tested positive for COVID last week, so Bersten (who, along with his Season 31 partner Jessie James Decker, was voted off last week) filled in about halfway through rehearsals. “It took me a while to get comfortable with Val coming into my space. Alan and I need to get comfortable with each other,” Windey said. Whatever they did to fast track their chemistry worked, because the judges were thoroughly impressed with their vampire Argentine tango. “I am so proud of you tonight,” Inaba said. “The way you were able to shift and pivot to a new partner and still have that much chemistry, that requires so much vulnerability but yet you had your strength the whole time.” Score: 38 out of 40

Wayne Brady and Witney Carson. Brady fell down the leaderboard last week after missing most of his rehearsal time due to illness. He said he left Michael Bublé night feeling “disappointed” and was hoping to make a comeback this week. Carson said she’d be using his strengths as a storyteller to help catapult the couple back to the top by giving him a character to play. They danced a difficult contemporary as some sort of creepy cyborgs, but Inaba and Goodman still felt like there was something missing. Score: 37 out of 40.

Trevor Donovan and Emma Slater. After being saved from the bottom two for the second time, Donavan was determined to make his way up the leaderboard with his Halloween night performance. “You have to really feel the dance,” Slater told her partner of their contemporary dance to “Ghost” by Justin Bieber, where Donovan played a grieving husband and Slater was his wife in the afterlife. Unsurprisingly, their chemistry was off the charts, and the 90210 star brought the emotion needed to earn some high praise from the judges. “It’s such a beautiful thing to witness the gift of dance and…to see the love of dance grow within you,” Hough said. The pair earned three 10s. Score: 39 out of 40

Following the individual dances, it was time for the group routines. Team Wicked was Vinny and Koko, Shangela and Gleb, Gabby and Val, Heidi and Artem and Jordin and Brandon. Score: 33 out of 40

Team Scream was Trevor and Emma, Charli and Mark, Wayne and Witney and Daniel and Britt. Score: 39 out of 40

The bottom two were D’Amelio/Chigvintsev and Sparks/Armstrong. Inaba voted to save D’Amelio, while Hough and Toniolo voted for Sparks. Goodman broke the tie in favor of D’Amelio, so Sparks was sent home.

It’s 90s night next week in the ballroom.

2022 Tour Championship leaderboard: Live updates, golf coverage, FedEx Cup Playoffs scores on Sunday

The richest payday in PGA Tour history has arrived. With $58 million to be split up 30 ways, 29 golfers (not including the injured Will Zalatoris) will battle for the $18 million first prize at East Lake over the final 18 holes at the 2022 Tour Championship. Second ($6.5 million) and third ($5 million) place aren’t too bad either, but the top of the leaderboard is only looking at one spot.

The big question Sunday is whether Scottie Scheffler, who entered East Lake with a two-stroke lead and saw it balloon to five only to lead by one at the end of play Saturday, can hold on to his advantage now that the third round is complete. Scheffler (-23) scored birdie on four of his last six third-round holes Sunday morning to push his lead to six on the entire field. Behind him, Xander Schauffele and Rory McIlroy (-17) are tied for second entering the final round. McIlroy birdied three of his last six third-round holes to post a 63, one shot off the lowest score of the week, while Schauffele went without a birdie on his back nine, scoring 2 over for a 70 to slide back and take the pressure off Scheffler.

With the fourth round beginning in Atlanta, let’s take a look at the key tee times for the top of the leaderboard. The full set of tee times can be found in the live updates below. All times Eastern

  • 1:28 p.m. — Justin Thomas (-15), Patrick Cantlay (-16)
  • 1:39 p.m. — Sungjae Im (-16), Xander Schauffele (-17)
  • 1:50 p.m. — Rory McIlroy (-17), Scottie Scheffler (-23)

2022 Tour Championship leaderboard: Live updates, golf coverage, FedEx Cup Playoffs scores in Round 3

Scottie Scheffler remains atop the leaderboard as the 2022 Tour Championship heads into the weekend. Beginning the week at 10 under with a two-stroke lead on the field, the world No. 1 has climbed his way to 19 under for the tournament … though his lead remains at two entering the final 36 holes at East Lake Golf Club.

Xander Schauffele is the man who has been the biggest thorn in the side of Scheffler. The Olympic gold medalist finished in tremendous fashion Friday with a stellar 63. A three-time winner this season, Schauffele has made his way to the second spot on the leaderboard courtesy of a 36-hole total of 11 under, the best of all competitors in the field. Schauffele has finished no worse than T7 in his five prior appearances in the Tour Championship and has eyes to add another quality result to his résumé at East Lake. While the two Americans hold a substantial edge over the rest of the field, if they are to slip up, both Jon Rahm and Patrick Cantlay are positioned to capitalize on their misfortunes.

2022 Tour Championship leaderboard breakdown: Scottie Scheffler fends off Xander Schauffele for Round 2 lead

The second day of the 2022 Tour Championship looked awfully similar to the first. World No. 1 and FedEx Cup leader Scottie Scheffler carded a round of 4-under 66 and continued to torch East Lake Golf Club. Standing at 19 under at the halfway point, however, Scheffler’s lead is anything but safe. Despite taking care of his own business, Scheffler has seen his lead trimmed to two, with playing competitor Xander Schauffele besting his effort by three strokes on Friday.

Though Scheffler has maintained the two-stroke margin with which he began the week, the composition of the leaderboard behind him has brought a handful of new pursuers. Schauffele is the closest challenger — just as he was after Round 1 — but he now stands at 17 under after playing his final three holes in 4 under. Jon Rahm has also put his name into the hat thanks to an impressive 7-under 63 and is 13 under after starting the week seven off the pace. Both Rahm and Schauffele have enjoyed strong showings at East Lake in the past, and this experience has aided them thus far in their pursuit of the top name in the game.

The same goes for Rory McIlroy, who has recovered from his tumultuous start on Thursday. Signing for yet another round of 3-under 67, the two-time FedEx Cup winner is a full nine strokes off the lead of Scheffler but finds himself in solo seventh. Despite the bevy of names on the first page of the leaderboard, a likely two-horse race has developed on the outskirts of Atlanta.

The leader

1. Scottie Scheffler (-19): Although there were moments of discomfort — his tee shot on the par-3 15th barely cleared the water, for instance — the world No. 1 remains atop the leaderboard. He is 9 under on the week, which is just two strokes worse than Schauffele. I can’t imagine the unflappable Scheffler is too worried about his performance up to this point.

However comfortable Scheffler may be, though, the putter must improve if he is to successfully fend off Schauffele and others. After ranking fifth in strokes gained putting on Thursday, he regressed heavily Friday and came in at 26th on the greens. His tee-to-green game carried him in the second round, but Scheffler will not have the luxury of his B game carrying him to victory given how Schauffele — and even Rahm — are playing at the moment.

Other contenders

2. Xander Schauffele (-17)

3. Jon Rahm (-13)

T4. Sungjae Im, Patrick Cantlay (-12)

6. Joaquin Niemann (-11)

7. Rory McIlroy (-10)

Schauffele changed the complexion of this entire championship with a back-nine 29. The man who has been simply ridiculous around East Lake throughout his career has continued to flash his affinity for the property this week. The 2017 Tour Championship winner has done everything right through 36 holes, and if he is able to continue to perform in this way, he will have a realistic chance to turn a four-stroke deficit into a FedEx Cup victory over the weekend.

Rahm in a familiar position

The man who claimed the low 72-hole total a year ago is primed to do so once again. In the context of Rahm’s season, which features only one victory against a less-than-stellar field at the Mexico Open, a close call at the season finale would certainly go along with the theme of disappointment.

The former world No. 1 has been fantastic through the first two weeks of the postseason, connecting on consecutive top-10 finishes and finally finding a comfort level with the putter in hand. While the lowest score of the week may not produce a trophy, it may provide momentum just as it did in 2021 when he carried his form from East Lake into a dominant performance at the Ryder Cup.

“It’s more doable, but he’s [Scheffler’s] playing good golf, right, and we’re going to have to keep on going and play good golf, as well,” said Rahm, who is currently second in the field in strokes gained putting. “It’s going to take a really strong weekend from me and hopefully not a strong one from Scottie. That’s kind of what we’re looking for. I think tomorrow could be a good day. If I can post another good round again tomorrow and he doesn’t shoot a low one, we’ll be in position.”

Take a bow, Max Homa

The two-time winner this season entered the week at 2 under, and after a poor first go around East Lake on Thursday, bounced back in a big way on Friday. Signing for an 8-under 62, Homa moved inside the top 10 and has positioned himself to collect another seven-figure check at the conclusion of the Tour Championship.

“I felt like I deserved to play well, and I wasn’t even letting myself in the first place. I get over, hit a great drive, a great 9-iron to 10 feet and think, I have to make this,” said Homa. “You just did two great things. Why don’t you just see what happens and trust that you’ve put in the work.”

2022 Tour Championship updated odds and picks

  • Scottie Scheffler: 5/7
  • Xander Schauffele: 7/4
  • Jon Rahm: 11-1
  • Patrick Cantlay: 22-1
  • Sungjae Im: 35-1
  • Rory McIlroy: 40-1
  • Joaquin Niemann: 75-1

Only seven names check in under 200-1 and even that may be too many. For my money, there are only three players who have a chance to raise the FedEx Cup trophy as of now, and Scheffler remains the best bet even though Schauffele is breathing down his neck. The world No. 1 did not have his best stuff in the second round but remains a fair price at -140.

On the week, Scheffler ranks first in strokes gained tee to green. He also finds his name inside the top five of strokes gained off the tee, strokes gained approach and strokes gained around the green. If the putter cooperates as it did in the first round, he will extend his lead over Schauffele on Saturday and cruise to the title come Sunday.

2022 Tour Championship leaderboard: Live updates, golf coverage, FedEx Cup Playoffs scores in Round 2

Scottie Scheffler enters Friday having strengthened his grip on the FedEx Cup Playoffs title after opening play with a 65 and moving to 15 under at the 2022 Tour Championship Scheffler takes a five-stroke advantage over Xander Schauffele into the final three days of play at East Lake with an $18 million winner’s purse on the line.

The tournament is now officially Scheffler’s to lose as Caesars Sportsbook has installed him as the -120 favorite to take home first place. Schauffele is just behind him at 11/2 with no one else in the field shorter than 12-1. The tournament is far from over, but it does have the feel of a two-horse race at East Lake. There are plenty of horses in the back, however, should they stumble. Fitzpatrick is joined by Joaquin Niemann, Patrick Cantlay, Sungjae Im, Cameron Smith and Rory McIlroy in the hunt. While all are too far back of Scheffler to strike Friday, they can certainly get into the hunt entering the weekend.

2022 Tour Championship leaderboard breakdown: Scottie Scheffler goes low to increase lead in Round 1

The PGA Tour’s final event of the season kicked off Thursday, and Scottie Scheffler ended the day just as he began it: on top of the leaderboard. Scheffler shot a 5-under 65, tied for the third-lowest round of the day, to increase his advantage on the field and sit five strokes clear of the other 28 golfers at the 2022 Tour Championship.

Already a four-time winner on the PGA Tour this year, Scheffler started at 10 under with everyone else chasing. He is aiming to become the first golfer since Justin Thomas in 2017 to win five times on the PGA Tour in a single season, and with $18 million at stake for first place, he’s already one quarter of the way there.

Patrick Cantlay, who opened the day two shots back of Scheffler, shot an even-par 70 to slide back to T4. Xander Schauffele boosted himself into second at 10 under with a 66, while Matthew Fitzpatrick and Joaquin Niemann — both of whom shot Round 1 lows with matching 64s — slid into the top five.

Keep it locked here as CBS Sports will be keeping track of everything going down at the Tour Championship over the remaining 54 holes. This story will be updated shortly with a more detailed leaderboard breakdown from East Lake.
