Buy, buy, buy.

Pop superstar Justin Timberlake, who got his start in the boy band NSYNC, has sold the rights to his song catalog to Hipgnosis Song Management, the British firm announced Thursday.

The deal was completed on behalf of Hipgnosis’ partnership with private equity firm Blackstone, Hipgnosis Songs Capital. It is said to be valued at more than $100 million. The Wall Street Journal, which first reported the news, added that the agreement does not cover future releases from Timberlake.

The superstar said he is “excited” about the partnership. “I look forward to entering this next chapter,” he said in a release.

Timberlake’s hits include “Cry Me a River,” “SexyBack,” “Can’t Stop the Feeling” and NSYNC songs such as “Bye Bye Bye.”

Timberlake, 41, is the latest music star to sell the rights to his songs for a huge sum of money.

In December, Bruce Springsteen sold his catalog to Sony for $550 million. A month later, in January of this year, Bob Dylan sold his catalog of recorded music to Sony, as well. That came after Dylan sold his songwriting catalog to Universal Music Publishing Group in December 2020. Tina Turner sold her catalog for about $50 million to BMG in October.

Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon switch late-night shows in April Fool’s Day prank

Late-night TV hosts Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel swapped talk shows and networks in an elaborate April Fool’s Day prank on Friday.

it was a confusing tale of two Jimmys for audiences after Fallon flew to Hollywood to host “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on ABC, while Kimmel sat in for Fallon on NBC’s “The Tonight Show.”

Fallon and Kimmel sat at each other’s desks and did some of each other’s recurring bits as part of the epic switcheroo, which was a complete surprise to the shocked studio audiences at 30 Rock and the El Capitan Entertainment Centre.

The Roots remained in New York to warm up the crowd for Kimmel, whose sidekick Guillermo Rodriguez stayed in Tinseltown to serve up Fallon with punchlines.

“I love being here in New York. I want to tell you about this crazy thing that happened in LA this week. So um, you know the actor Will Smith? Oh you’ve heard this story? I didn’t know if it made it east, I’ll skip it then,” Kimmel cracked.

“Are you figuring out what’s happening now? You’re noticing what day it is? Or no, maybe … April Fool’s everybody.”

In Los Angeles, Justin Timberlake came out disguised as Matt Damon, and Fallon asked him to leave an autograph.

“Jimmy Kimmel would love it if you signed something. But then I was thinking about it, Jimmy would really want something more from Matt Damon if he was on the show,” Fallon said.

“Can you tag his desk?”

Timberlake, clad in Red Sox apparel with a blond wig, obliged, spray painting “I [heart] Matt Damon on Kimmel’s desk.

In a bewildering musical gag, the Red Hot Chili Peppers appeared on both shows to mark Friday’s release of their first album in six years, playing “These Are the Ways” from the Roosevelt Hotel in LA and “Black Summer” in the 30 Rock studio.

Both programs pretape their nightly shows in front of a live studio audience.

Britney Spears slams her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake and mom Lynne for profiting off her during ‘hardest times’ in scathing new Instagram post after receiving a ‘calling from Jesus’

Britney Spears slammed her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake, mother Lynne and sister Jamie Lynn in a scathing new Instagram post on Monday night.

In a since-deleted caption on a video of herself dancing in a new polka-dot dress, the 40-year-old pop star told her followers she received a ‘calling last night from Jesus’ about those that had betrayed her the past two decades.

She went on to claim the Son of God told her: ‘Dear child … your mom had a serving with her book at the exact time when you needed her most …all for WHAT ??? FAME and ATTENTION!!!!’

The Toxic hitmaker was nodding to her mother’s 2008 memoir Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World, published a year after Britney’s public breakdown following her split from ex Kevin Federline.

Next, she unleashed her fury on Timberlake as she described his actions back in 2002 when he released his first album Justified and diss track, Cry Me A River.

‘Your ex did the same thing … he served with his first album using your name claiming you did him dirty!!!!’ she wrote of the SexyBack hitmaker, 41.

Still bitter: Next, she unleashed her fury on Timberlake as she described his actions back in 2002 when he released his first album Justified and diss track, Cry Me A River (pictured in 2002)

He and Britney dated from 1999 until 2002 after meeting at The Mickey Mouse Club and were an iconic star duo.

They split abruptly and rumors soon emerged that she’d cheated on him.

His career soared. Albums and songs were promoted under the narrative that Spears broke his heart. In the music video for his 2002 hit Cry Me A River, he even used a Britney lookalike. Britney was vilified for their break-up.

Another betrayal: Britney also reflected on how her younger sibling released a book, that mentions her more than 300 times in it, during ‘one of the hardest times in your life’ (pictured in 2003)

Britney also reflected on feeling betrayed by her younger sibling, who she said released a book, that mentions her more than 300 times in it, during ‘one of the hardest times in your life.’

While trying to understand why her sister would release a memoir, the mom-of-two stated that Jamie Lynn knew writing a book was ‘the last thing’ she ever wanted to do because she runs ‘away from drama.’

The Grammy winner, who reportedly landed a $15 million advance to write her own tell-all for Simon & Schuster last month, noted she doesn’t want to tell her side of the story but would accept ‘5 bottles of jack and a life supply of McDonald’s french fries.’

Within 20 minutes of posting, she changed the caption to just three red rose emojis.

Adele Is On a FaceTime Apology Tour After Postponing Her Las Vegas Residency

Adele is trying to make amends with the scores of fans she upset by cancelling her first performance of her Las Vegas residency the night before she was supposed to go on at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

Last week, Adele posted a tearful video on social media explaining that the show wasn’t ready to launch and that she’d be postponing it so her team could get everything right. Obviously, that move sucked for the fans who had already flown out to Vegas with the expectation that they’d be seeing her the following day. So Adele offered a small consolation prize: a FaceTime chat with her.

At the merchandise store adjacent to the venue, aptly called Weekends with Adele—which shilled $75 bottles of Cloudy Bay Pinot Noir branded with Adele’s name and $90 hoodies—Adele’s team stood at the ready to pull unsuspecting fans aside to talk to singer one-on-one on FaceTime.

Since Adele announced the postponement, rumors have been swirling about what’s been going on behind the scenes of the tour. One source told the Sun that the residency had been “heading for disaster” due to Adele’s “explosive arguments” with set designer Esmeralda Devlin. “In spite of the set costing millions to put together, Adele was unhappy with the result, and she made her feelings very clear to Es,” the source said, adding that “she was desperate that everything should be perfect.” Other reports have indicated that the push-back was over the managers and the venue, Caesars Palace, wanting Adele to perform with a 60-member choir, when she merely wanted a “low-key”performance that was “all about the voice.”

Yikes. Forget the concert at this point. We’ll just listen to 30 on Spotify on repeat and save the money.

Britney Spears posts throwback photo with Justin Timberlake two months after apology

Britney Spears celebrated sister Jamie Lynn’s birthday with a throwback pic featuring ex, Justin Timberlake.

The Friday night post comes two months after the “Man of the Woods” artist apologized to Spears for contributing to her waning public image during the early aughts.

“Happy belated birthday to this beautiful soul 🎂🎂🎂 !!!” Britney, 39, wrote in the caption for the post, which features Spears, Timberlake, 40, and another woman surrounding a young Jamie Lynn — who turned 30 on Sunday, April 4.

“I love you so much and damn it I wish I was as smart as you at 30!!!,” Spears continued. “It’s weird to say that I was basically your momma when you were younger and yes I’m still older but your soul is and always has been wise !!!!

“I’m truly and genuinely inspired by your path and the life you have created for your beautiful children and I’m so f–king proud to call someone as beautiful inside as you my sister!!!,” she added.

Spears went on to praise Jamie Lynn’s strength, recalling her little sister besting her with the wrestling moves when they were children.

“I wish I was as strong as you and happy birthday 🎊 !!!!,” she concluded.

Fans immediately made note of the photo choice, with one commenting, “What a strange picture to choose.”

Another added, “Its Britney & Justin in the right side corner for me 😍. Glad she chose this picture. Now someone investigate 🔎.”

Others don’t even believe Spears posted the birthday dedication, echoing former makeup artist Billy Brasfield, who claims the southern songstress told him she had no control over certain posts.

Her camp recently told PageSix, however, that the star is in control of her own social media accounts.

In February, Timberlake posted a lengthy message on Instagram, owning up to his “ignorance” surrounding the media treatment of Spears following his breakup with the “Toxic” singer, after the release of the documentary “Framing Britney Spears.” He also addressed the coverage surrounding his 2004 Super Bowl performance with Janet Jackson, in which she suffered a nip slip.

Jessica Biel reacts as Justin Timberlake apologizes to Britney Spears

Jessica Biel is sticking by her husband, Justin Timberlake, as the pop star has apologized to both Britney Spears and Janet Jackson this week.

The “Man of the Woods” artist took to Instagram Friday in response to backlash received following the airing of New York Times doc, “Framing Britney Spears,” apologizing to both women for his role in disrupting their careers and contributing to the public shaming of the “Glory” singer.

“I love you. [heart emoji],” Biel commented on his post, in which Timberlake stated, “I am deeply sorry for the time in my life where my actions contributed to the problem, where I spoke out of turn, or did not speak up for what was right. I understand that I fell short in these moments and in many others and benefited from a system that condones misogyny and racism.

“I specifically want to apologize to Britney Spears and Janet Jackson both individually,” he went on, “because I care for and respect these women and I know I failed. I also feel compelled to respond, in part, because everyone involved deserves better and most importantly, because this is a larger conversation that I wholeheartedly want to be part of and grow from.”

“Framing Britney Spears” briefly touches on Spears’ youthful romance with the NSYNC star in the early 00’s — and the aftermath, which included allegations that Spears cheated on Timberlake.

Timberlake fueled the narrative with the video for his 2002 song “Cry Me A River,” which featured a blond actress, who resembles Spears, sneaking around behind his back.

Biel and Timberlake married in 2012 and share sons Silas, 5, and Phineas, 1.
