Hilary Swank, 48, marvels at the pregnancy processes as she prepares to give birth to TWINS

Hilary Swank said she has mainly craved large quantities of fruit during her pregnancy on Monday’s episode of The Late Show with James Corden on CBS.

‘The first 16 weeks I had a lot of morning sickness, I didn’t do any throwing up, but all I wanted was fruit,’ said the 48-year-old Academy Award-winning actress who recently revealed she was pregnant with twins.

Hilary said when she finally told her Alaska Daily co-stars she was pregnant that they understood her over-the-top fruit consumption.

‘They were like ‘oh that’s why you eat 10 pomegranates a day, 50 pears,’ Hilary said.

Hilary, who previously revealed that the twins with husband businessman Philip Schneider, 50, were due in April coincidentally on her late father’s birthday, said she had just entered her 27th week and was essentially in her third trimester.

‘I’m feeling pretty full,’ Hilary said. ‘I love it. I feel like women are superheroes for what our bodies do. I have such. I’m in a whole new found respect.’

James asked Hilary since she moved to Colorado if there was anything she missed from living in Los Angeles.

‘I miss playing tennis,’ Hilary said. ‘I live at 9,600 feet and the ball flies. It just flies.’

Hilary said the altitude makes the ball go ‘to Mars.’

‘I love tennis,’ Hilary said. ‘I’m obsessed.’

James asked her how often she made it back to LA and what that commute was like.

‘I have my rescue dogs, my parrots, I have two parrots, five rescue dogs,’ Hilary said. ‘I got a pilot’s license during Covid and was flying, but it’s like a little prop plane ,and it won’t fit five dogs, two parrots and two babies. So now I’m actually looking into buying a retired band bus.’

‘Swanks on tour,’ James said.

‘You guys will have to figure out what the side mural would be,’ Hilary said.

‘Just paint it in cocaine,’ James said.

James then wanted to know from both Hilary and Gwyneth Paltrow, who was also on the show, what it was like to be famous in the 90’s. Hilary turned to Gwyneth and asked her if she won her Academy Award in 1999. Gwyneth said she thought so.

James played a clip from Hilary’s show Alaska Daily and congratulated her on her nomination for a Golden Globe.

Hilary shared they hid her pregnancy during filming by having a double  for her walking scenes. Hilary said before she announced she was pregnant she told the show she also needed a stunt double to do her running scenes.

‘I’m pregnant and I can’t tell anybody,’ Hilary said. ‘Guys, I think I’m a really bad runner. I need a stunt double to run.’

She said they didn’t believe her and asked to show them how she ran.

‘They said to me ‘show us,’ Hilary said. ‘I was like okay, how do I look like a really bad runner, I’m wasn’t a great runner to start with anyway, I was like I’ve really got to sell this so that I get my stunt double.’

Hilary said she ran and the four men looked at each other and said ‘yeah you need a stunt double.’

The spoiled celebrities restaurants hate the most

Waiting on Meghan Markle and her handler turned out to be a royal pain for Michael Cecchi-Azzolina, maitre d’ at NYC’s Michelin-starred restaurant Le Coucou in 2017. His head reservationist passed him a note about an “irate” woman who had dropped the “I’m bringing in royalty” card and demanded a private table, something the restaurant could not accommodate.

“She said, ‘It’s for someone who is dating a prince,’ ” Cecchi-Azzolina recalled, telling The Post that the handler copped an attitude when told the restaurant could not keep adjacent tables open. “I said, ‘I still don’t have a private table for you.’ ” He suggested a corner table instead and the woman finally acquiesced.

“They came in with an attitude,” Cecchi-Azzolina said, of the duo showing up 20 minutes before their reservation. After welcoming them to have a drink with the commoners at the bar, the escort allegedly became enraged.

Cecchi-Azzolina recalls getting inundated by a handler for Meghan Markle in 2017 and other instances like getting heckled by fashion influencers demanding a table while he was maître d’ at Le Coucou.

“Are you aware my guest is dating Prince Harry and about to be a duchess?” Cecchi-Azzolina writes in his forthcoming book, “Your Table Is Ready,” out December 6. “ ‘Don’t you have a private area for us to wait?’ My first impulse was to laugh. I could give two s–ts about Prince Harry’s date, and by the attention the escort was drawing from the crowd at the bar, nor did anyone else.”

Cecchi-Azzolina recalled that Markle, meanwhile, “didn’t say a word,” while her handler threw a fit that the table wasn’t ready before their reservation time, describing the actress-turned-royal as “aloof.” A rep for Markle did not return a request for comment.

“We get the most powerful people in the world that come here — no one really cares about you,” Cecchi-Azzolina said, adding that the escort sat down in a huff.

James Corden responded to the backlash of being “canceled” and later forgiven by restauranteur Keith McNally on Friday in an interview with The New York Times noting the drama was “beneath” him and “so silly.”

After skewering James Corden for being “abusive” toward his restaurant staff, Balthazar owner Keith McNally accepted Corden’s apology. Some industry insiders think he let him off easy.

Restaurant industry insiders are serving up tales of entitlement, expletive-spewed rants, dine-and-dashers and serial complainers on the heels of restaurateur Keith McNally skewering British comedian James Corden as the “most abusive customer” his restaurant staff at Balthazar have ever seen in the Soho restaurant’s 25 years.

On Monday, McNally publicly announced on Instagram that he’d 86’d Corden (restaurant speak for canceled) for mistreating employees and demanding a round of drinks “this second” after Corden spotted a piece of hair in his main course. According to McNally, Corden then insisted the restaurant take care of the drinks tab, threatening to write a bad Yelp review.

In a separate instance, McNally said, Corden allegedly shouted at a staffer, saying, “You can’t do your job! Maybe I should go into the kitchen and cook the omelette myself” after his wife complained egg white had made its way into her yolk-only omelette. McNally later said Corden had called him to apologize, and he accepted, saying Corden was welcome back to his restaurant and that “All is forgiven.” In an interview with the New York Times on Friday, Corden noted the drama was “beneath” him and “so silly.”

Some seasoned restaurant world vets say McNally let Corden off too easily, and that more celebrities should be named and shamed for their frequently bad behavior.

“You either get the celebrities that are very approachable and relaxed or some people who are just lunatics. You have people who are miserable in their own lives and they choose to take it out on service people,” Jason Kaplan, a New York City-based restaurant consultant at JK Consulting, told The Post.

“What I find kind of ridiculous is the fact that because he apologized, now you let him back into your restaurant? How does that excuse bad behavior?” Kaplan said of McNally.

And some celebrities are proving they have zero tolerance for disrespecting restaurant workers. Conan O’Brien reportedly fired a former crew member for being impatient and rude to a restaurant server, a former O’Brien staffer wrote on Twitter Tuesday.

Corden allegedly shouted at a Balthazar staffer, saying, “You can’t do your job! Maybe I should go into the kitchen and cook the omelet myself” after his wife complained egg white had made its way into her yolk-only omelet.

Corden is hardly the only offender leaving restaurant owners with a bad taste in their mouths. A source close to one Hamptons hot spot recalled an inflammatory incident two summers ago when the co-owner of a professional sports team allegedly called a hostess a “hooker” and a “bitch” when he couldn’t get a table out front or in the outdoor area, leaving the staffer “crying,” the source said. Management had to step in and chide them for using the foul language.

“Some of them think they own the world and they get really nasty,” the source said.

Influencers are another unlikable crowd. In his book, Cecchi-Azzolina recalls being told, “Do you know how many Instagram followers she has?” at Le Coucou when a fashion influencer and her crew called the restaurant 10 times in a week to get a table. They arrived at 7:30 p.m., an hour before their reservation and continued to use their social media following as currency.

Showing up unannounced, demanding a table and then sending back food is another infamous move. Cecchi-Azzolina claims supermodel Naomi Campbell and high-powered editor Anna Wintour did just that while he was working the room at Raoul’s in Soho.

“Do you know who this is! She has hundreds of thousands of followers. If you don’t seat the six of us now, she will close this restaurant down. No one will come,” one of the influencer’s minions said, according to the book.

Sometimes, bold-facers are so arrogant they walk out on the check. A source close to the now-closed restaurant Philippe Chow in Miami recalled a time around 2009 when Dennis Rodman allegedly came in with a fleet of 15 people and stiffed staffers on the $3,000 bill after racking up the tab with expensive bottles of Champagne.

“One by one they all started walking out. He was like f–k it. I’m not getting stuck with this bill. They all snuck out,” the source alleged. A rep for Rodman did not return The Post’s request for comment.

“He was flying on a private jet the next day. I [thought], of course you fly on a private jet because you don’t pay for things. You just go to places and don’t pay your bill. Shame on you,” the source said.

Around the same time, the source claimed, self-help guru Tony Robbins sat down to dinner with a crew of 10 to 15 people and allegedly left the staffers empty-handed when the bill of around $2,000 came.

“The reservation was under Tony Robbins and they all walked out on the bill. When we got in touch with Tony Robbins’ office he was like, ‘I was a guest there.’ He said, ‘I’m not paying the bill.’ I said, ‘You were sitting at the head of the table making speeches and wishing everyone well. You guys aren’t going to pay the bill or the staff?’ He was like, ‘I was there, but it’s not my reservation and I’m not going to pay.’ Two thousand dollars is not going to put you out of business, it’s what you charge for one seminar. He never paid us,” the source claimed. A rep for Robbins did not return a request for comment.

Showing up unannounced, demanding a table and then sending back food is another infamous move. Cecchi-Azzolina claims supermodel Naomi Campbell and high-powered editor Anna Wintour did just that while he was working the room at Raoul’s in Soho.

“Naomi Campbell would come, be rude, and complain about her food almost every time,” Cecchi-Azzolina writes in his book of Campbell, who would frequent the restaurant Raoul’s in the early 2000s.

“Naomi Campbell would come, be rude and complain about her food almost every time,” Cecchi-Azzolina writes in his book of Campbell, who would frequent the restaurant in the early 2000s when she was dating U2 guitarist the Edge. A rep for Campbell did not return a request for comment.

“She was someone we dreaded coming in,” Cecchi-Azzolina told The Post. “She needed a lot of attention. She sent back her food quite a few times. I want to say it was the rack of lamb,” he said.

Vogue editrix Anna Wintour, meanwhile, was “absolutely horrid,” and would “march in with no reservation and demand a table,” Cecchi-Azzolina writes in his book, noting that Wintour always ordered a steak “very rare” and requested it be served “immediately.”

“God forbid it was the least bit overcooked. She’d look at the server as though he’d just served her rat and have it sent back and redone. You’d think the raw meat would make her less sanguine,” he writes. A rep for Wintour did not return a request for comment.

“She’d just walk in or call and say, ‘I’m coming.’ One time she came in and we were closing the back room and she insisted on sitting in the back room and we had to keep a waiter there and give her her own waiter. Boy, was that waitress pissed,” Cecchi-Azzolina told The Post, describing Wintour’s demeanor as curt.

“She doesn’t really talk to the staff. She’s like I’m having this and that’s it.”

James Corden talks the Balthazar incident

Tiny cretin of a man, James Corden
Photo: Jeff Spicer (Getty Images)

When a well-known, long-time restaurateur calls you “the most abusive customer” to ever patronize an establishment in its 25 years, it might do you some good to grovel, or even spare a crumb of remorse. But it seems late-night jester James Corden feels as though the whole conversation about his table manners is just a little below him.

“I haven’t done anything wrong, on any level,” he tells The New York Times. “So why would I ever cancel this? I was there. I get it. I feel so Zen about the whole thing. Because I think it’s so silly. I just think it’s beneath all of us. It’s beneath you.”

It seems Corden’s opted to take the high road—sorry—the high and mighty road, to cast his eyes down upon people who think treating service workers like shit is detestable. He’d instead rather put on the hater blockers, deny deny deny, and talk about his new series “Mammals,” in which he plays a Michelin star chef, which can only be characterized as laughable after all *widely gestures* this.

“It’s strange. It’s strange when you were there,” Corden says on the subject. “I think I’m probably going to have to talk about it on Monday’s show. My feeling, often, is, never explain, never complain. But I’ll probably have to talk about it.”

He doesn’t seem to internalize this personal mantra of “never complain” too much, as indicative of his reported behavior at Balthazar, but certainly feels compelled to “never explain,” especially when it comes to what the hell an egg yolk omelet is.

Corden then takes a strange moment to remind everyone that Twitter is not necessarily reflective of the real world, and in this augmented reality, “Hillary Clinton is the president of the United States.”

“Should we not all be a little grown-up about this?” he says. “I promise you, ask around this restaurant. They don’t know about this. Maybe 15 percent of people. I’ve been here, been walking around New York, not one person’s come up to me. We’re dealing in two worlds here.”

In response, Balthazar’s owner Keith McNally says this:

I’ve no wish to kick a man when he’s down. Especially one who’s worth $100 Million, but when James Corden said in yesterday’s NY Times that he hadn’t done “anything wrong, on any level,” was he joking? Or was he denying being abusive to my servers? Whatever Corden meant, his implication was clear: he didn’t do it. Although I didn’t witness the incident, lots of my restaurant’s floor staff did. They had nothing to gain by lying. Corden did.

I wish James Corden would live up to his Almighty initials and come clean. If the supremely talented actor wants to retrieve the respect he had from all his fans (all 4 of them) before this incident, then he should at least admit he did wrong. If he goes one step further and apologizes to the 2 servers he insulted, I’ll let him eat for free at Balthazar for the next 10 years.

Your move Corden.

James Corden Grovels, Is Forgiven by Keith McNally After Being Banned From Balthazar for Being Abusive

Famed restaurateur and Instagram maven Keith McNally has revoked his ban on James Corden from one of his restaurants after the late-night host apologized over allegations of rude behavior toward staff.

“James Corden just called me and apologized profusely,” McNally confirmed, welcoming him back to the restaurant while claiming all is forgiven.

In an Instagram post on Monday, McNally complimented Corden as a “hugely gifted comedian” before ripping into the Brit as “a tiny Cretin of a man” and “the most abusive customer to my Balthazar servers since the restaurant opened 25 years ago.”

The French restaurant, located in Manhattan’s trendy SoHo neighborhood, is a hotbed of celebrity sightings, with Vogue editor Anna Wintour and actress Sienna Miller among its regular clientele.

“I don’t often 86 a customer, [but] today I 86’d Corden. It did not make me laugh,” McNally wrote in his post, before detailing two unfortunate outbursts by Corden that were written up by the restaurant’s managers.

In one of the reports, an unnamed manager recounted a time in June when Corden allegedly found a hair in his dish and showed it to another manager, identified only as “G.”

“Corden was extremely nasty to G, and said: ‘Get us another round of drinks this second. And also take care of all of our drinks so far. This way I write any nasty reviews in yelp or anything like that,’” the manager wrote.

In another instance dated Oct. 9, Corden allegedly called over a server to complain about his wife’s egg yolk omelet, which was apparently tainted by a bit of egg white. That same day, Corden was in town for The New Yorker Festival, where he had an hour-long chat with writer Rachel Syme.

“The kitchen remade the dish but unfortunately sent it with home fries instead of salad,” the manager shared, according to McNally. “That’s when James Corden began yelling like crazy to the server: ‘You can’t do your job! You can’t do your job! Maybe I should go into the kitchen and cook the omelette myself!’”

Representatives for Corden and McNally did not respond to requests for comment from The Daily Beast.

In a follow-up post Monday night on Instagram, McNally said Corden “just called me and apologized profusely.” McNally said that he had “fucked up myself more than most people” and that he strongly believe in second chances.

He joked: “So if James Corden lets me host his Late Late Show for 9 months, I’ll immediately rescind his ban from Balthazar. No, of course not, he said.”

“But… anyone magnanimous enough to apologize to a deadbeat layabout like me (and my staff) doesn’t deserve to be banned from anywhere. Especially Balthazar. So Come Back to the 5 & Dime, Jimmy Corden.”

He ended with: “All is Forgiven. xx.”

Back in April, Corden announced that he’ll be stepping down as host of The Late Late Show on CBS next year, adding that he’d been thinking of leaving for “a long time.” The actor and comedian, who appeared in 2019’s Cats and last year’s remake of Cinderella starring Camila Cabello, has hosted the late-night show since 2015.

McNally is the owner of several high-profile restaurants in Manhattan, including Pastis, Morandi, and Minetta Tavern. The restaurateur is known for his off-kilter and brutally honest Instagram account, where he occasionally shares anecdotes from his restaurants as well as his occasionally controversial opinions on current events, including his continued support for friend and frequent restaurant guest Woody Allen.

Last year, McNally banned Graydon Carter from his restaurants after the former Vanity Fair editor made a reservation for 12 people at Morandi but didn’t show up, even after extra staff was called in to help with service.

“I’ll tell you one thing,” McNally wrote on Instagram at the time. “That fancy fucker will never be allowed to make a reservation at one of my restaurants again. Never.”

Carter later called McNally’s post “deranged” in an interview with People.

Nicki Minaj responded to Adele’s iconic rendition of her Monster rap as she had her turn on James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke on Wednesday night’s The Late Late Show.

As Nicki slipped into her British accent, James asked her ‘where that comes from?’ pointing out ‘you know you just sound like Adele?’

Poking fun at Adele’s February appearance at an NBA All-Star game, Nicki said in her British accent: ‘I know! I go viral for basically anything. I sit down at the basketball game and I do one of these. I don’t look at the camera. People pay for these sort of viral moments, you know what I mean?!’

The hitmaker then shared her thoughts on Adele’s Carpool Karaoke appearance in 2016 which saw her perform a perfect rendition of Nicki’s hit Monster.

Nicki told James that it made her ‘so happy’ to hear a different style of music from the songstress, gushing: ‘She embodied Nicki Minaj. She’s singing these sad songs so you don’t expect it from her from.’

Nicki went on to perform an acapella version of Adele’s 2011 hit Someone Like You, belting out the high notes before later performing renditions of her own songs, including Blick Blick, Super Bass, Anaconda, Do We Have A Problem and Starships.

Later, Nicki opened up about her battle with anxiety, explaining that she is constantly chewing on ice because ‘it’s like an anxiety ball, a stress ball. Every time I’m biting the ice it’s taking out the anxiety.’

‘I think when I was younger, probably my more natural state was to be more confident,’ she explained. ‘But I think when you are a woman and you’re in the public eye all the time, if you’re not careful, you can become less confident because you’re being constantly scrutinized’.

‘It’s not natural for a human being to just always feel like everyone’s critiquing them.’

‘It goes from that to the complete, complete opposite where if I blink my eye wrong, they’ll have a story made up about why I blinked my eye that way,’ she said.

James asked her how she protects herself from that, and she revealed: ‘Whenever I am off of social media and I take that sh*t off my phone, I have this enormous sense of peace. And then you realise what really matters.’

The star, who has rarely spoken about her son in interviews since she gave birth in 2020, also admitted she raps and sings and ‘makes up melodies for him all day.’

James also get a lesson in Minaj terminology as she attempted to explain that ‘ops’ means ‘opposition’. She said: ‘If y’all got beef with James, I’m gonna let y’all know right now we popping up! We poppin’ ops! James if you’re gonna hang out with me, you gotta at least know the lingo! Ops means opposition! We gonna make it blick, blick!’

Kristin Davis Reveals She Auditioned For A Major ‘Friends’ Role

And just like that … Kristin Davis’ career could have taken a different turn.

Talking to “The Late Late Show” host James Corden, Davis said “I don’t think that we could say [I came] quite close” as she was “one of like, 8,000 young ladies who read” for the part that eventually went to Courteney Cox.

Davis and Cox went to the same yoga class and knew each other at the time, she said.

“One day Courteney was like, ‘Do you want to come car shopping with me? I’ve done this pilot and I feel really good about it and I think I’m going to buy a Porsche.’ We were like, ‘Wow, is she for real?’ And it was ‘Friends’ and it did go very well,” Davis recalled.

Davis, meanwhile, landed the role of Charlotte York in “Sex and the City” ― and later came full circle with her guest appearance on “Friends” as Joey Tribbiani’s (played by Matt LeBlanc) date.

Prince Harry talks ‘difficult’ royal life with James Corden

Forget Oprah — James Corden is available to listen.

“The Late Late Show” host took recent California transplant Prince Harry on a guided tour of Los Angeles, hopping on a double-decker bus for afternoon tea as Corden pretended to show Harry homes of the rich and famous, including what he guessed could’ve been David Schwimmer’s abode.

Although Corden faked his way through LA real estate, he and Harry stopped by the real house featured in “The Fresh Price of Bel-Air,” where Harry impressed the CBS host by rapping the show’s iconic theme song.

While there, Harry and Corden met with the family that lives in the manse and joked about buying it from them. Though he didn’t snap up the coveted real estate, Harry did use the bathroom.

Corden also talked to Harry about why he and now-pregnant wife Meghan Markle not only left the UK but also chose to resign from their royal duties.

“It was never walking away — it was stepping back, rather than stepping down,” Harry, 36, clarified to Corden. “It was a really difficult environment, as I think a lot of people saw. We all know what the British press can be like, and it was destroying my mental health. I was like, ‘This is toxic.’

“So I did what any husband and what any father would do, is like, I need to get my family out of here.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex swapped England for a $14 million Montecito, Calif., estate to raise their young son, Archie, and their growing family. Despite the across-the-Pond move, Harry insisted he and Meghan, 39, did not abandon their duties.

“But we never walked away. And as far as I’m concerned, whatever decisions are made on that side, I will never walk away,” he said. “I will always be contributing, but my life is public service, so wherever I am in the world, it’s going to be the same thing.”

Harry’s conversation with Corden echoed his and Meghan’s official statement that refuted Queen Elizabeth II’s announcement that the duo had resigned. In the terse response, the couple said they were “committed” to a life of service, as it’s “universal.”

Meghan briefly popped up in the duo’s tour to FaceTime Harry, whom she calls “Haz,” to prevent him from succumbing to Corden’s pressure to buy the “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” mansion.

“I think we’ve done enough moving,” she quipped.

Though they won’t be moving to the famed mansion, Harry did pay homage to the sitcom by rapping the its famed intro with a bit of help from Tony-winning Corden.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey will air on CBS on March 7.
