NFL 2022 Week 18 early inactives: Tyler Huntley, Mark Andrews inactive for Ravens

Getty Images

Every week we bring you all the inactives from the 1 p.m. ET games in one post, constantly updated with the latest information.

The Ravens will be closing out the regular season with their third-string quarterback. Tyler Huntley is inactive with the right shoulder injury that limited his practice work this week, so Anthony Brown will be getting the start in Cincinnati on Sunday.

Huntley started the last four games in place of Lamar Jackson, who was ruled out again this week with a knee injury. Jackson has not practiced or played in a month, so it’s unclear if he’ll be able to make it back for next week’s playoff game.

That game could be against the Bengals and it could be in Baltimore if the Ravens win Sunday and then win a coin flip for home-field advantage. Being down to Brown at quarterback won’t make the first half of that equation an easy one to pull off and the Ravens are also sitting running back J.K. Dobbins and tight end Mark Andrews.

NFL 2022 Week 10 early inactives: Josh Allen, Ryan Tannehill officially active

Getty Images

Every week we bring you all the inactives from the 1 p.m. ET games in one post, constantly updated with the latest information.

Four teams listed their starting quarterbacks as questionable to play in Week 10, but neither the Bills nor the Titans will have to call on their backups. Signs pointed to Josh Allen and Ryan Tannehill being active for Sunday’s games when their teams passed on promoting third quarterbacks from the practice squad and both players avoided the inactive list 90 minutes ahead of kickoff.

It remains to be seen if both quarterbacks will start, but it seems likely that they are going to play if the team feels they’re healthy enough to be in uniform.

Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray and Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford are the other questionable signal callers. Their fate will be known in a few hours, but reports on Sunday morning weren’t optimistic about their chances.

NFL Week 1 early inactives: Marcus Peters won’t play for Ravens

Getty Images

Every week we bring you all the inactives from the 1 p.m. ET games in one post, constantly updated with the latest information.

Ravens cornerback Marcus Peters won’t be making his return to the lineup on Sunday. Peters is on the team’s inactive list for their game against the Jets.

Peters missed all of last season with a torn ACL and was listed as questionable on Friday’s injury report, but reports from Sunday’s game had him doing a heavy workout that made it unlikely that he’d be playing later in the day.

The Ravens also listed running back J.K. Dobbins as questionable in his return from a torn ACL. Dobbins is also inactive and left tackle Ronnie Stanley will not play, so the 2021 injury parade continues to impact the team.

Thursday Night Football: No surprises for Rams-Bills inactives

Getty Images

The first inactives of the 2022 season are out and they don’t feature any surprises for Los Angeles or Buffalo.

The Rams previously ruled out receiver Van Jefferson, who did not practice all week with a knee injury.

The rest of Los Angeles’ inactives are cornerback Derion Kendrick, quarterback Bryce Perkins, linebacker Jake Gervase, and receiver Lance McCutcheon.

For the Bills, defensive end Shaq Lawson, receive Khalil Shakir, and cornerback Cam Lewis are all healthy scratches. Tight end Quintin Morris (hamstring) and offensive lineman Tommy Doyle (foot) were both listed as questionable and are also inactive.

While receiver Isaiah McKenzie (groin) and safety Jordan Poyer (elbow) were on the report this week, they were full participants in each practice and did not have an injury status for the game.

Kickoff is set for 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC and streaming on Peacock.

Seahawks at Rams Week 15 Inactives

With seven players on the reserve/COVID-19 list, the Seahawks only had to make two players inactive for Tuesday’s game, quarterback Jacob Eason and center Dakoda Shepley.

The Seahawks will also be without receiver Tyler Lockett, right tackle Brandon Shell, cornerback D.J. Reed, defensive end Kerry Hyder Jr., defensive tackle Bryan Mone and running backs Travis Homer and Alex Collins, all of whom have been places on the reserve/COVID-19 list in the past week.

The Seahawks elevated four players from the practice squad as COVID-19 replacements—defensive tackle Myles Adams, running back Josh Johnson, safety Josh Jones and receiver Cody Thompson—all of whom are active.

The Rams also have a shorter-than-usual inactive list due to COVID absences, and while delaying the game did allow them to get some key players back, they will still be without three starters who remain on the COVID-19 list: right Rob Havenstein, safety Jordan Fuller and tight end Tyler Higbee.

  • QB Jacob Eason
  • C Dakoda Shepley
  • QB Bryce Perkins

Chiefs-Raiders inactives: Sneed out, but Fenton and Niang will dress

The Kansas City Chiefs have released their list of inactive players for Sunday’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders. Cornerback L’Jarius Sneed (personal) and defensive back Chris Lammons (ankle) will not dress for the game. But offensive lineman Lucas Niang (ribs) and cornerback Rashad Fenton (knee) are available to play.

On Saturday, Sneed was listed as questionable for the game after his brother was killed in their Lousiana hometown on Friday. Niang and Fenton had both been listed as questionable in Friday’s final injury report. Friday’s report also designated defensive back Chris Lammons (ankle) as out — and on Saturday, the Chiefs placed Lammons on their Reserve/Injured list.

To make up for the personnel shortage in its secondary, Kansas City also gave practice-squad defensive backs Dicaprio Bootle and Josh Jackson standard single-game elevations to the active roster. Jackson will play on Sunday, but Bootle is inactive. As elevated players, they will automatically be returned to the team’s practice squad after the game.

With Sneed out — and Fenton perhaps on a limited snap count — we can expect cornerbacks Mike Hughes and Deandre Baker to see plenty of work. Jackson could see limited use on defense, but is likely to be used mostly on special teams.

It is not known if Niamg will return to the starting lineup as the team’s right tackle. The Chiefs may choose to let him rest for one more game before Thursday’s big matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers, keeping backup Andrew Wylie in for his fourth start of the season.

The Raiders have also released their list of inactives for the game. Tight end Darren Waller (knee/back), defensive end Carl Nassib (knee), linebacker Patrick Onwuasor (hamstring) and linebacker Denzel Perryman (ankle) will all miss the Chiefs game — as will running back Kenyan Drake (ankle), linebacker Nick Kwiatkoski (ankle) and running back Jalen Richard.

Waller, Nassib, Onwuasor were all declared out on Friday — and Perryman was listed as doubtful for the game. Drake and Kwiatkoski both missed Monday’s practice with their injuries and were placed on the team’s Reserve/Injured list. Early in the week, Richard was added to the Las Vegas Reserve/COVID list.

On Saturday, the Raiders gave practice-squad wide receiver Tyron Johnson and defensive back Trayvon Mullen standard single-game elevations to their active roster. Linebacker Javin White was given a single-game practice-squad elevation as a COVID replacement. All three will dress for Sunday’s game — and will then be returned to the practice squad.

Linebacker Darius Leonard and guard Quenton Nelson are both dealing with ankle injuries, but neither one hit the inactive list.

Tampa will also have the two starters that they listed as questionable. Defensive tackle Vita Vea (knee) and linebacker Devin White (quad) will be active as the Bucs try to build off last week’s rout of the Giants.
